I think I might have to break down and turn the heat on here. I am freezing. :cold:

We turned ours on just 2 days ago. And I must say that it's nice to wake up in a warm (68 degree) house for a change.

Congrats on winning the prize. I'm still trying to win that free AirTran plane ticket. Only 11 more chances to enter the drawing.

Elaine--hijacking is what I do... :teeth: ..gotta keep it fun around here.. :rolleyes1

John--nice pics..

Sherry--congratulations!!!

Our heat has been on awhile..temps have been set on 65 though...Wanted to get it started early to get rid of that 'turned on the furnace for the first time in awhile' smell..

Lily--Gremlins?? :earseek: ..We had power issues yesterday..guess them boogers travlled north... :moped:

Karens-- :wave2:

Sherry, congrats on your winnings to the zoo!!!!

68°??? Somehow that seems really warm to me! But I think we'll have to see how long this "no warmer than 65°" goes before I say that :p

This place sure does need some fun Todd... seems to have lost a lot of what it used to be ;)

Dinner's done and eaten. Luis was a happy boy because I was kind and gave him steak :teeth:

When Sue was working full-time, I used to drop the temperature to 60 degrees during the day when nobody was home, 68 degrees at night, and 72 degrees in the morning during showertime. Last winter, I could not predict when Sue was and wasn't home, so we kept the thermostat at a steady 72 degrees. Toasty warm.

John, that's about what we did, except the house never got above 68° in the house. But it was 60° while we were gone, 68° in the evening and mornings and 67º at night. Now it's 60° during the day and 65° the rest of the time!

totally not related... but I just noticed that ALT+167 gives a slightly different look than ALT+0176

°º°º°º°º
probably explains why I like °o° more than I've seen on a few people ºoº

make sense?

anywho

HEY IT IS FRIDAY!!! I THOUGHT WE WERE PLAYING! PAM GET YOUR BATOOTIE IN HERE AN KEEP ME AMUSED ;)

Oh you are John! But Pam was whining last week about us not being here for her :p

And wow! For whatever reason that pic of the kids didn't show up until just now for me! Very nice ::yes::

Oh sheesh, I made a decent post and lost it.

TC, nice pic of the babies.

I like it colder in our house, but I am the only one. Mom likes it cold at night though. It is how we were raised--gravity furnace back then so no heat upstairs at night.

Sherry, congrats on your winnings. You must have dialed really fast!

Elaine, I'll try and play some.

Sorry I didn't post today. I was reading...then I sat down to lunch, figuring I would post. But then I picked up a book on my desk that I brought in to show one of my twits...uh I mean cherub students :teeth: and started reading it. We have some classic stories in our reading sets but they are low level Graphic novels (comic book type books with serious subjects...make any sense???) anyway, one of them was Jane Eyre. So I ws telling my kid that my mom had just bought it and was planning on reading it. I still had it laying on my desk when I sat down to eat...and next thing i know I was engrossed in the book and didn't have time to post.

got home tonight, took the fam to dinner (cafeteria) and then hit the mall. We went looking for those nasty shoes called Crocs. Mom has heard that fat people like them and their feet don't hurt. So we found those and a few other things.

gotta go...i'll be back to detail my shopping after I get the rugrats in bed!!

Hellllloooooo out there? Anyone home?
:wave2:
I won't be here much longer though. DH and I are going to Cincinnati tomorrow to see my GF. Leaving early so I will need to get some rest. Taking TEDSBIRD for its last flight before it gets wrapped up for the winter.

:wave2: Great day!! Shopping, Pam and Kimmie!! :teeth:
With my bud, Kathy. Amazing all the people that talk to 2 women when they wear funky red hats :rotfl:

No time now....got to get dinner ready.

I added the photo after the fact. You had already replied to my post, so that may be why you missed seeing it until now. I thought that I had Mammoth Cave photos on my PC at work or else I would have posted a couple of those as well. I suppose I could run upstairs and do that now. Nah. I'm too comfy watching Survivor Live programs on one of the downstairs PCs.

Still trying to win that AirTran contest. Only 7 more chances to enter.

Oh now y'all come out to play, my back aches and I need to lay down :(

Mad love to you all! Enjoy the dive tomorrow Lily... wave as you go by ;)

See ya in the morning and hopefully my aching back from scrubbing the tub will feel better!

 OK, probably about 9:00 or before. It may be kinda earlier and you may be sleeping. Take care of yourself. Sorry you hurt.

John, good luck.

Lily - Have a nice drive and enjoy the zoo.
Elaine - Hope your back feels better in the a.m.

Yucky thunderstorms here this evening. Gotta go check the 10:00 Hurr Wilma update.

Night folks!

Well I got suckered into getting on my laptop... feels much better to be laying down :)

I'll be awake then Lily! I'll wave back :p

Rose Mary, you aren't in the path of the storm are you (thought it was south). But will it keep you busy if it does hit, or that new job remove you from it some?

Yep, I'm nosey ;)

No zoo tomorrow. We'll be walkin' the farm and then it's Casanos Pizza and some beers, a hot tub after and great conversation.
G'nite. Sorry I'll be missing the party tonight. Save me some.

I am going now though... neck is hurting me...

have fun tomorrow Lily, sounds like a great day!

Howdy, all.

Taking a few minutes to pop in. Things are always interesting, that's for sure.

Karen, I'm in pretty good shape-we have some pretty nifty hurricane tie downs on our house. Without even trying, we have just about everything on the hurricane checklist-it's probably because of where we were raised.

Lainey, did ya save any steak for me? That sounds really good!

John, I'd like a Mammoth meet, too.

Woohoo, JRKaren has her trip planned.

Oh yeah, it's not a cheetoh patrol, cuz I'd eat them all-it needs to be a pretzel patrol or a gummy bear patrol, lol.

Sorry, being on autopilot that's all the ketchup I have today-a little self serve packet.

No hospital run tomorrow. Neil's still spiking fevers, and I hadn't asked our saturday daycare to watch the boys. I actually have to work for a few hours in the evening. It'll probably be a good distraction.
