Tired today... the tickling of the throat seems to be what is keeping me awake.. so Luis will pick me up some good drugs on teh way home :teeth:

I'll do a true ketchup later :)

Of course your throat is tickled.

Try just draping them over your shoulders instead of wrapping them around your neck. Then you won't inhale as many feathers.

You're welcome. ;)

Ketchup time...

Karen, I am sorry that a couple of things are getting in the way at DL... hopefully the majority will outshine the rest of the CMs who failed to do their job. I love some of the Fantasyland rides unique to DL. I was thrilled to get onto Mr. Toad again :teeth: Hope today was a great one for you!!

I feel like I'm my very own pain in the butt
That was just so worht quoting again ::yes::
Sounds like a nice weekend in general there Paula! Is everything going better for Alyssa at school?

Nancy, continued good wishes for your MIL... that sounds rather scary! Do they know what caused all this trouble? I hope all will work out okay

Lily, did ya get a good lunch in?

*sigh* Can I ever keep Alan in line... always letting his eyes wander beyond me too much... bad cabana boy!!!

Tara  Hope the mad mood lifts soon! I often get days like that... makes me glad when it is only Cleo, Gwen and me ;)

k... all caught up I hope :)

Got alot done today - house looks pretty tidy - except for Chris room - which I told him he has to clean tomorrow - ok - I actually told him he had to clean it before going out yesterday but his version of cleaning was to put some clothes away and vac - my version included putting all the clothes away - and dusting - whouda thought??? He's at work now - of course when getting dressed for work he "remembered" that he ws told he could not wear shorts anymore and has to have scrub pants.....guess who will be going to Walmart tomorrow??

Elaine - hope the meds help you - - if not there's always Alan's advice!!Alyssa is doing better with school - in fact she got a 100 on her last calculus exam - it's pretty much her personality to get overwhelmed at times but at least she is able to calm herself. She's with Ryan now - no classes tomorrow or Thursday - she was very excited about seeing him.

My hubby's back seems to be getting worse - he's in his recliner with the heating pad - dog by his side of course.

Tara - sending good thoughts - hope the mood lifts.
Lily - trying my best to push the funk away!!

Working tonite - more later....

Nancy - I thought I had posted on this thread last night and just found out that I hadn't. My head was pounding for almost 2 days. :guilty:

Prayers are being said for your MIL. And congrats on the new additions to your family! :teeth:

JRKaren - sooooo..... now you are at DL helping Danny celebrate his 50th Birthday! You are such a dear, sweet person! :teeth:  Oh - and I love the Matterhorn, too! :cheer2: I like the Pirate ride there better, too.

Alan - it looks like you were in my DD's closet! :rotfl2: She has boas, those new fluffy scarves......

Elaine - I'm sending some mad, mad  just for you!! :rotfl:

Smoochies to everyone else!

:rotfl:

I did not see this before!!! Thanks, Sweetie :love2: :p

Wow Paula, sounds like you ahd a busy day... I did almost nothing except rest. But I am so glad to hear that Alyssa is doing so well in her calc class. I hope this is a good sign of a good remainder of the year for her :)

:wave2: Hi Bianca!!!

Ooooh, I love the Pirate ride at DL... puts WDWs to shame really! But thanks for that lovin' there Pammykins! Much appreciated! Sorry your head was hurting so much... must be all the loud bangs from teh shootin' ;)

I just took my Nyquil, so I have one more place to check in and then I am in bed for the night.

But good news... a cousin of mine is pregnant. She is diabetic, but hopefully all will go well (she has been with her specialist through this all so far and had her first ultrasound w/ heartbeat :)) And we have another addition... my sister just got a kitten. I think I will go over on Thursday for a little while to say hi to the new girl :)

That's all here... see ya in the morning!

Hey, ho.

Not much interesting to report here today.

Just some "Hey, Howdy, Heys" like woody would say. I'll pop back in tomorrow.

Closing sometime next week, yeah!

Karen, remember, you need to give me your thoughts on the parks! I thought I'd be there before you, but I'm putting your experience in the west coast parks to good use later! I think lesson number one is consider off property (which we were).

Paula, I'm always on a topper crawl. At the rate I'm going on the Christmas toppers, I think the vase is going to become the siggy pic! I've got about a dozen different holiday ones, and I haven't been over to WDW yet to get the new mickey ornament and other christmas themed ones. That's next week's agenda ;) ! I haven't forgotten your mug, but wondered if you got it when you were here. If you have, let me know-we're not villian people here, except for perhaps Yzma!

Elaine, bummer on the cold. Take care of that, with all your allergies, you don't want it to get worse.

Bethie, recovered from inventory yet?

Nancy,, cute addition. I walk by the BaB in my mall and ogle the halloween display. I want Cookie Monster, lol!

Kevin just cracked me up. Ed and I had little glasses of a liquor (golden tango cream) and when I gave Kevin a kiss goodnight, he said he smelled something yummy. Then he asked if it was a kid drink or a big people drink, and when I said it was a big people drink, he said "NO FAIR!". It was just too funny.

Good evening, Ya Ya family!

Awww, Paula, sorry about your being out of sorts. Alan, in his monkey suit, didn't make you giggle? Glad to hear Alyssa is settling down at school and AWESOME score on that calculus test!! Hope your DH feels better after some quality time with the dog and the heating pad. And Chris is gonna hafto wear scrubs at work?! Warn him that he should be prepared to fight off the females--a girl loves the idea of marrying a rich doctor!! So, if he looks the part.......

Karen, I'm sorry you had such a crummy arrival at DL. Glad to hear they fixed the problem and at least tried to make up some for it. Hope the rest of your stay is purely magical! How'd you like POC out there?! I love the beginning part, floating thru the bayou and past the restaurant. Sending lots of :goodvibes and  in your direction.

Prayers and PD for your MIL, Nancy. Hope her surgery took care of the problem and her recovery is speedy and complete. Sorry Dave is headed out once again, but hopefully, he can offer the needed help and comfort she needs. Can't wait to see all your new kids--I snuck a peek at eBay and had to get back out quick. I need another BaB like I need another hole in my head! And there was more that I could have given a home to gladly!!

Aww, Lily, ya came in early but didn't get to go to lunch early? Didja at least get to take off early? Hope your day wasn't too bad after all. btw, I know a secret!!! Hee-hee-hee!!!! :earboy2:

Laine, Alan is absolutely right! You've got to get off that feather kick you've got going there, if ya wanna feel better!! :rotfl: Hope you are feeling better right quick and back to your own sassy self. Congrats on the new niece-kitten! Don't forget your camera!!

Tara, hope that black cloud lifts soon and your mood with it. I know this gloomy weather doesn't help much, either. Read anything good today?

One of those 2 day pounders, eh, Pam? Hope you are feeling better! At least your humor is still intact!! So what's new in your neck of the woods? I'm thinking we need one of your famous stories to perk us all up--too many sniffles, headaches, and funky moods amongst us!

Oh, Suzanne!! :rotfl: Definitely NOT FAIR for poor little Kevin!!! Actually, not fair to anyone who doesn't/can't drink. They make that stuff smell just too, too scrumptious! Congrats on the refi--your lender is FAST!! Fastest deal I've ever heard!

Gonna have me a lovely sleep in tomorrow--got the day off and Dave doesn't go into work until about 1:30! Mostly recovered from my inventory all-nighter, but still looking forward to a lazy morning. Got plenty of laundry to keep me busy and think I may spend my afternoon on a little pampering. Can't stand my hair and think I may get it cut off again, now that I've got the layered cut all grown out  but for now, it's time for nighty-night. Hope ya'll have a lovely evening and sweet dreams! :grouphug:

Hope the head is behaving, Pam. Sorry it has been bad for so long.

MIL is a bit better. We will know more tomorrow.
Don't read any farther if you don't want the details ;)

Apparently she had a blood clot lodge in her intestine. It killed a section. They removed that.
She is at about 65% chance for recovery now. I assume that will increase with time.
Now......a bit of history. She has had past problems with blood clots. Was on meds for it but it made her dementia worse, so she went off it.
Now her choice ....blood clots or worsening of the dementia
BIL had to make a choice like that too after his last bout. Meds to prevent stroke. But the meds thin the veins in the brain and caused that last bleed.
What a family, Huh? :(

I'm tired. Going to bed early. Not enough sleep the last few nights.

Nancy, I'm so sorry you and Dave are going through that right now. That is a really hard decision to make. Understand the blood thinner side of it, but to have to make that kind of decision.

Suzanne

Morning YaYa's! Came home from work yesterday and laid down to take a little nappy. Woke up at 6:30 thinking I was late for work. Scrambled around put the coffee on and headiing for the shower noticed "what?" it's already sunny out! How can that be at 6:30 a.m? Duh?!? it's pm not am. I was so relieved I laid back down and slept the night away :rotfl2:

Nancy glad to hear MIL is doing better. What an ordeal for Dave's family? Does stuff like that run in the family? Love your new BAB's.

Elaine- Hope you get to feeling better. My dates are Dec 1 - Dec 4. Still trying for POP but, no luck yet. Question - can you post a pic for me if I send it to your phone?

Beth - enjoy your sleep in w/hubby ;)

My CRS is kicking in, who mentioned those MOODS? Boy, do I suffer with that! I can so relate. I can't even stand myself when I'm like that.

OK, know there is lots more I didn't ketch up on but, even sleeping the evening away I'm running behind this morning.

Will get to it later......

Hello again, everyone!

You know, I'm still having a wonderful time at the parks, but I have to say that I am so disappointed by the service at the Disneyland Hotel. I'm really regretting that I stayed here. I was so excited to stay here, but it has been one of the most disappointing experiences of my life. I have never had so many people be so downright rude to me before. It's absolutely ridiculous. I could have stayed at a non-Disney hotel a little ways down the road, saved myself hundreds of dollars, and not had to deal with all of the stuff of dealing with.

Last night I went to a pricey restaurant at the Disneyland Hotel--Granvilles. It's the type of place where you pay $25-35 for a piece of steak that doesn't even come with a side dish. My server brought up her tip to me twice! I wouldn't have tipped her at all after that except for the fact that the assistant servers were very nice.

I've had to stand waiting at the bell services desk and the front desk while cast members stood joking around and chit chatting. Not for long periods of time or anything, but long enough to be noticable.

I can't wait to move to the Grand Californian tomorrow.

JellyrollsKaren

Morning all! A bit groggy, but doing okay. I feel better but am more slow moving (so to speak) than yesterday... if that makes sense. I think when allergies get that bad for me, like now with all the mold coming due to fallen leaves and rain, I am more likely to get a cold. That and my friends all have passed a nasty cold around for the last three weeks... guess it was inevitable :p

Suzanne, enjoy your topper shopping :teeth: And what Kevin said :rotfl: That is totally priceless!

Bethie, enjoy sleeping in! Sounds like you need it! And enjoy the time at home with Dave. He still liking the new job? I will be sure to bring a camera with me tomorrow when I go. Her baby sounds adorable though :)

Nancy, that sounds awful :( I'll keep her in my thoughts though and I do hope that 65% will rise higher every day. What a tough choice to make... that would be really hard for me as well!

LOL, Rose Mary!!! I've done crazy things like that myself :teeth: Gald you have a room at least for WDW... I do hope you get your POP, but actually if you are at AS you'll be close to Alan... we could more easily go and pick on him :p

As for pictures to phones... I've never tried to send a picture that I got via phone to my own e-mail address. Do you have that option to send a pic via e-mail? If so you can send it to my e-mail so we could skip a step.
I'll play with it some more in a while to see... I've gotten very few pics on my phone (gotten a ton from phone via e-mail though)

Karen, I am so sorry about the serivice at DLH! I am shocked to hear it was that bad!!! Yep, I'd be writing a letter myself, and like I said the front desk people seemed to be clueless hwen I tried to call. I have only been to DL twice in my life, with the first time being last year and they othertime it was a day trip staying elsewhere... but staying at the GC was awesome! I thought we had good service there, don't you Nancy?
I hope the rest of your trip goes better!!!

:rotfl2: Like Lainey would ever forget to take her camera - especially to see a new kitten-niece!

Gonna have me a lovely sleep in tomorrow--got the day off and Dave doesn't go into work until about 1:30! Mostly recovered from my all-nighter

You crazy kids..but at least you planned it for a night you could sleep in the next day. :rolleyes1

Mornin' All,

Another dreary rainy day here. Good day to bake - choc. chip cookies today - mailing some to Ryan.

Speaking of which - Alyssa has 2 days off so went to stay with him - telling me "don't worry mom I'm bring my homework and I'm making him go to class" - which I thought was cute and nice that she is always open with me.
Chris came home from work in a bad mood last night - I think he brought up the subject of buying a car ( he had told me he wanted one to have to work on) and I think my husband shot him down (prob telling him what's wrong with the truck in the yard - he can work on that) - anyway - he didn't talk much last night - he has PSAT's today.

Pam - I didn't get the mug while I was at WDW - didn't realize that the shops didn't stay open during Extra Magic hours..... :wizard:

Beth - sleeping in - how nice!!! Cutting your hair?? I'm thinking of growing mine....or maybe I just need a new stylist that will make my short hair have a "younger" look.

Nancy - continues good thoughts and prayers for your MIL - how difficult it must be when one condition effects the other

Rosemary - those daytime naps will get you every time!! :rotfl2:

JR Karen - so sorry to hear that DLH is "below par" - hoping the Grand Californian brings better things.

Elaine - sorry to hear that the allergies have you dragging - hope today gets better.

Hugs to all.

Bethie, I forgot to mention this earlier... think before you cut! The short was cute, but remember once you do it, you can't go back. Actually Luis was having issues with hair cuts and he realized it wasn't the length that was wrong, just the style. It's fixed now to what we both like :teeth:

Alan, you are bad! And I'm not that bad when it comes to pictures... am I?

Paula, got any cookies left for us? ;) Sweet of you to mail them to Ryan too. Sounds like Alyssa has a good head on her shoulders :)

Okay drug fog, so if I miss something, forgive me?

but before I go... lookie what Rose Mary got from a Secret Admirer :teeth:
f1eae63a.jpg

Good morning.

RM...nice flowers :teeth: Sounds like a good nap ;)

Beth, still sleeping?

I cut my long hair several months ago. I like the style the second stylist did better.

Sorry, you've had problems at DLH, JRKaren. I have loved all 3 times at Grand Californian ::yes:: Not sure I can stay anywhere else now.

No new news on MIL....that's good.
As for running in the family....no. Her blood clots were brought on several years ago from a trip she was on, I believe.
BIL's problems are from cancer of the brain he battled when a young man and all the things happening now go back to the treatment from that. :(

I need to sew on a costume today  Is it Nov. yet!!
And I have wedding pictures here I need to figure out so I can send the pictures and negatives back to M'Cori's mother. So complicated!
