Pam, I think I might pass this time... we were talking about kids and all, but this might be all too quick for me

Kimmie, we can have tons of needles just hanging around the house with that one first little row attached to it
And cross stitch? I can do it too, but like you it just makes me go crazy after a while. It's pretty stuff to see, but I have no patience for it. And it isn't 100% mindless enough that I can just sit and do it while I am doing other things (watching TV or reading). Yuck stuff

Hey All,

Suzanne my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Im also here if you need an ear.

Im probably not going to be on much. Our main line is down in the area so I have no phones and no DSL. Im on dh's cable modem but it is up and down also. We should get our phones back just in enough time to get hit with Wilma!

My coworker appologized to me this morning. She realized how really badly she hurt my feelings and said it was a VERY poor choice of words on her part. She just meant that I was aggitated which I was by that point.

Kimmie I just watched the news....first Ive seen since 7 am this morning and they are predicting high cat 1 to low cat 2 by the time it gets here which they think it will be on Sunday. That wont be so bad. Non residents of the Keys are being asked to leave and they have closed schools down there. Broward and Dade are still on standby....but the kids have off on Friday anyway. They will evac the residents of the Keys tomorrow. It really is a wait and see kind of thing. Ya never know what these things are going to do

Well I gotta get off dh's computer because he needs it to do some work. I will checkin when I can

Nancy, I am actually envious of you with cross stitching. It is beautiful work when I see done, I just don't have patience or the mindset to do it. Good luck with air. Actually something you said nudged me to look yesterday. I was so glad I did! It dropped drastically from the last time I looked!

Hi all - yesterday was a very long day.....

Still no callback from the school - very very irritating!! I was however able to rech a counselor for Chris - I actually met with him yesterday - giving preliminary info - etc - seems nice - soft spoken but direct with questions - he suggested possible completely re-evaluating Chris - along with IQ testing. Chris meets with him next Thursday. Migranes still - kid looks horrible - seeing bright lights - guess that would be aura's....dont' know how he functions.....he did go to school today.

Thanks to all for the supportive words ....I felt mentally drained yesterday - I know I am doing the right thing but it is draining.

***** Well - I just called the school again - seems as though the person that I have been leaving voice mail messages for is no longer Chris' guidance counselor - again nice of someone to rturn my call and let me know) - so I got coice mail for the corect guidance counselor (good thing is he was Alyssa's guidance counselor and very nice) - left message - fingers crossed.

Morning, all! Gotta go over to my former workplace today. Big dodo heads can't figure out how to file their monthly sales tax return which is due today. Had my District Manager out to visit the store yesterday--so much fun with our Store Manager off on vacation. Was able to show her that there is something seriously wrong with much of the direction we are given by corporate for how to display the merchandise for sale, especially compared to how much product we receive in our weekly shipment. We are WAY overstocked on albums and certain product lines and WAY understocked on others! She pointed out lots of ways we could improve and I really learned a lot, though. Hoping we can implement some of the changes before our manager gets back from vacation and surprise her.

Speaking of my manager on vacation-----she's headed for WDW!!! Keeping my fingers crossed that Wilma doesn't ruin everything for them. Hope she just slows and weakens and all of Florida is spared another devastating storm.

Paula, how teribly frustrating with the school there. I'd be annoyed if I were you. Good luck with the councelor though. I think a total re-evaluation isn't a bad thing. Kids grow into and out of issues as they go along and hormones change

Nancy.....what do I think about the Daddy Bag?? "yeah right" is all I can come up with right now.

The mall was fun- took advantage of some sales at JC Penney - sweater for Alyssa - new rug and shower curtain - 2 work shirts for Jeffrey.

And for me???? Well - I treated myself to 1 maple walnut truffle at Godiva - that and a nice stroll around the mall put me in a good mood!!

Home now - guidance counselor called - about 5 minutes before I got home - but at least he called - says he had a meeting but asked me to call him tomorrow morning - that's encouraging!!
