Hi everyone...

Still not feeling 100% - horrible migranes all day yesterday - have a doctors appt on Friday.

Took a vaca day yesterday and they ended up calling me to work .....

Alyssa goes back today - my in-laws are driving her.

Costume....slow, not much time. After that last little trip the 17th. I should have more time and really get going on it.

I have two now. Daisy and Mrs. Potts....but they are both rather poofy Wouldn't be good for working in.
There are a lot of nice costumes out now though. You just need time to get out and look.

Karen....keep trying for a room that you want. Something may come up for you.

Tara...way to go on the weight loss. Great feeling isn't it? I need to get back to it.

Sherry, have a good visit with SIL. Great she gets to come over and visit every morning.

I had trouble believing that was Alan in the clean-shaven pic! But, the twinkle in his eyes gave him away.

Aww..what a nice thing to say. Believe it or not, about 3 weeks before I shaved I had two different kids tell me I looked like Santa Claus (a few days apart)

My hair had not suddenly turned white but I thought it was very unusual to get that comparison from two different children independantly in the same week.

Perhaps there's a twinkle after all

Well - it's quiet in my house again - Alyssa left about an hour ago - Chris is at work.

I made pumpkin/choc chip cupcakes for Alyssa and my mother in law packed her some kind of goodie bag too.

Headaches are getting better - I swear for 3 days I could barely function - is this what midlife is all about????????

Have new toppers to show off: appearing at YOUR disney store soon. Snowman mickey, gingerbread mickey and new year's stitch. I don't think I was supposed to buy them yet-oh well. They were too gosh darn cute to pass up.

Bethie, you're discovering the joys of being the closing manager. I love that part of it, but not the part of getting up early with the kids.

Got a headache, and I think it's from the cleaning solvents at the day care center. This is the second time I've walked in fine and walked out with a headache.

Anyone got any good ideas for making dinner tonight? Stuff is frozen, no $$ for dining out. guess I should find out what the kids had for lunch at school. Spinach dip will probably factor in, since I've got everything for that, lol!

Another vote FOR the Disneyland trip. Sue's dad passed away quite suddenly just a few days before our annual trek to The Inn at Honey Run to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Not cancelling the trip was probably the best thing that we could have done as it gave her the opportunity to get away from the rest of the family and get some well deserved breathing room. Your dad would not have wanted you to cancel your plans. Trust me on that one.

Continued prayers for you and for your family in this time of mourning.

Suzanne, I don't suppose we will be much help here with dinner suggestions. We had burgers/dogs grilled the other day, chicken paprikash yesterday, stuffed peppers today, tacos/buritos the other day, chicken breast cut in strips and broiled, some had wiht salad, some had baked potato, ummmmm ummmmm, don't know what else to offer just now.

OOoooh, Lily, Paprikash would be good. However, need to defrost some cutlets for that. Found some shrimp poppers in the freezer, so the boys will be having that, Ed and I will have the somewhat thawed, fry them for a while stuffed chicken zorbas. Ed wanted me to make homefries, but the potatos were covered with eyes . Think it's a rice a roni night, lol!

Cross your fingers, guys. I applied for a home equity loan-want to make it only one bill to pay!
