Maybe we'll both switch over to firefox. I have IE on my Mac, too - although I'm on the Dell right now.

We went to BaB today. I got my Mom's bear, Babs Thanksgiving and Christmas outfits. The Native American one and also the new girl outfit with the cookies and milk for Santa.

I wanted to get my MIL a Labrador but the store doesn't carry them any more, so I'll have to order it online. We did buy the Steeler outfit.

Are the Christmas outfits out? What do they have that Wally might like?
They weren't last time I went.
Wally needs one. He did get the Native American one for Thanksgiving :)
Sounds like you had fun there. :teeth:

The BaB store we went to had all their Christmas stuff out.

There's only the Santa suit online.

Store had Santa, Mrs. Claus, elf, gingerbread man, new Sugarplum fairy one, the one I got my Mom. Can't remember if there were any more or not -- DD was in a hurry to get in and out of there -- the music they play in the store drives her nuts!! :rotfl:

pam, i noticed you were close to 10,000 earlier. Congrats!

YES!! Wally wants the gingerbread man. I was hoping they would have it again this year.
I will be there on Monday and will check it out.

Good night.

:wave2: Karen.

I missed Alan dancing and chatting?

Woah!!!!

Back from my day... busy... tired... will catch up later!

Oh and I admit I don't care for Firefox... used it, didn't work on sites I went to, ditched it. Then again IE doesn't crash here much at all.

See ya :wave2:

Evening,

Pam-congrats on 10K. We use firefox, too, and LOVE it.

Situation the same-another sister is here from NY. Had wings. Stepdad told Mom it's okay to die, he'll be fine. Hospice nurses said they thought for sure she would have passed last Tuesday.

Late night, got work planned for the morning and I need to go grab a few costumes for coworkers.

Suzanne

Virtual jogging requests have exhausted me, but I have been trying so everyone can get in those goodies. Must enjoy those goodies.

Yay Karen for the test results, Hope that the rest gets figure out soon. Glad you made it to BW for that extra night.

Sherry, seems like you will be having your own family band soon. Great for Jordan’s recital.

Nancy, can’t wait to see the pics of the costume. Stay away from eBay! You need the 12-step program. Your influence may make me need it too.

Paula, at least you have found the $ for the shopping. Whew! I would not appreciate a scare like that. Strange phone thing going on.

Elaine, hope your back is going to be rested now that your busy weekend is nearing an end.

Alan, great that Mrs. AA is working her way with Pilot. Sounds like you will have to get a bigger bed. Loved your idea of the “strings” event.

Tara, glad you got a bit of a break there. Sorry there was no zoo trip.

Pam, no pics, that is a shame. I guess it will be an after event show then or you could always threaten to go along TnT ing with the camera in hand. Congrats on you mothiness! (even if it took 5 years to get there)

John, Great that you will be the button guy for the Jellyrolls meet. You do great work!

Sorry about the IE issues. Haven’t had them myself. Was hearing that some things don’t show up the same in Firefox and the others. I am still ok with IE.

Beth, sounds like a lot of work is being done by you in that retail things. Be careful to not burn out too quickly. Hope you have a long time enjoying it all.

Suzanne, maybe after your Stepdad said it was ok she will release herself. It is so difficult and my prayers are with you and all involved.

I'll ketchup about me later...

Morning all! Sleepy here...

Cat sleeping on my lap and unfortunately I wll have to make her move soon.

I forgot to say Congrats on 10K Pam!!!!!

Nancy, I wonder if some people were just not meant to have computers ;)

I think it will be a nap day for me later on. Enjoy the day all!

Oh and Happy Birthday Lela :bday:

Good morning, all! Ahhhhhh, so nice to be able to snuggle under the covers for an extra hour this morning! I just love the October time change--too bad the April one isn't quite so nice.

LOL!! Got to put my iron-on transfer skills to use yesterday! One of the special holiday projects for the store is a picture ironed-on to white muslin used to cover a small album. Corporate provided the iron-on and I don't know what transfer paper they used, but it was AWFUL!! Of course, the girl who tried to put the thing together obviously didn't know what she was doing, either. She didnt' trim the excess off first and then when she tried to iron it, it only stuck here and there--the rest was shredding off. So, I brought it home, took it apart, scanned the cover and made a new transfer. Flipped the material over and ironed it onto the other side (the nasty one doesn't show!) and recovered the book. It looks soooooooo much better and I think my manager will be pleased.

Whoofreakinghoooo!! Pam hit the big 10k!!! Way to go, oh mothy one!! Boy genius at my former office job switched us to Firefox over a year ago and I loved it. Told Dave about it and we switched here at home, too. It works just like IE, only not NEAR so many pop ups. True, there are some sites that won't work with it, but not many.

Nancy, we stopped in at BaB yesterday and they didn't have any of the Christmas outfits out. They were sold out of most of the Halloween ones, too! :( But, the Husky is cute and they had plenty of Elmos and Cookie Monsters.

Suzanne, that must have been so difficult for your stepdad to say to your mom! Big  for him. Still keeping all of you in my prayers. So tell us about the costumes! I'm wearing my Batty Hattie hat for work tomorrow, I think that's enough.

Gotta run finish getting ready for church. Catch ya'll later!!! :grouphug:

Oh I forgot to say about the pop ups... to get rid of all of them, I have both the Google tool bar and Norton Internet Security. With the latter, I get none of them and I know my computer is "safe"

I did like firefox for the most part... I just had waaaaaaay too many sites that didn't work with it. Too much of a PITA for me to deal with
On another computer, I use Netscape instead. Used to be the same company as Firefox (Mozilla) way back, but Netscape at least works on all the sites I go to.

Bethie, saw you just posted as I hit reply... sounds like they are keeping you super busy at your job. glad you are loving it though.

Moving the cat... drying the hair and going to church :)

Good morning.

Lily...MY influence ;) Nah....those ladies on the BaB thread made me start

Beth, did you get anything at BaB?
I bet ours doesn't have Christmas outfits yet either. they said after Halloween...wonder if Nov. 1 is "after" enough ;p
Saw the Husky last time. It will be a big seller here. That is UW's mascot and there are many, many fans around.

Dang thing send before I hit send

:bday: Lela!!

I am opposite on the time change....hate the fall one. It gets dark way too early and then I am tired. Love the spring one.

Suzanne.... I hope things go well with your DM. So hard.

Play season has started for us. Today is the first, so that is what we are doing this afternoon.

Me, too. I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate the fall one. :guilty:

DS's computer was back to normal this morning. IE loaded right up...... very weird.... :earseek:

Suzanne, maybe your Mom has been waiting until everyone got in to see her..... my uncle was that way, so was my FIL. :grouphug:

Woke up with another headache.... sigh....

I'm off to the mall by myself. Maybe what I buy today will actually be used as Christmas gifts! :rotfl:

Hope the headache goes away, Pam. Hope the retail therapy helps it.
Good luck with the shopping.
I need some ideas for Geoff, Dave and M'Cori. I think the rest are done.

:wave2: I have been meaning to post all weekend, but man does time seem to have a way of getting away....time won't give me time.....

Bethie, you will have to give me the play by play of your weekend.....briefly.... :goodvibes :rotfl2:

Karen, glad to hear the good news!!! Hope you were able to find some fun this weekend....sorry about the snow.....Bethie sent it! I am sure!!

Lily thanks for the virtual exercise......I made some time for some virtual sleep for you. I am feeling quite rested this morning! Hope you are feeling the same!

Pam, could you go get me a few new swanky outfits too? If Lily will keep exercising for me, I am thinking I could be a size 12 in about 4 or 5 years!!! :rotfl: Hey Lily, you have to put the steps in!

Elaine, sounds like you have a nice weekend planned. We wanna see pics!

Nancy, how did the costume turn out? Pics please!! You are growing a whole garden of bears there....too cute! And to think you have clothes for all of them. It is a good thing Lily and Wally share so well. I thnk you need to have some grandbabies....and fast! :teeth:

Alan, you never stop making me laugh. Thanks!

Well, my dad has gone to my brothers for a few days, then he is headed home. It was "nice" to have him here, but I am glad for the visit and glad he is headed home. I think if we actually had a spare bedroom it would make things a bit easier. But having my dad around is far eaisier than my mom.

I know I ma missing a bunch of people, but I wanted to say :wave2:

On a sadder note, I did get a call from Suzanne this morning, her mother died this morning. Suzanne is doing well....as well as can be exprected. It looks like the veiwing will be Wednesday and the funeral Thursday. She will be burried in Florida, rather than in New York. Suzanne has LOTS of people to pick up form the airport in Tuesday, so she will be working a bit today and then tomorrow. She said she needs something to keep her busy. So if you have a few moments to spare some good thoughts for Suzanne and her family, it would be greatly appreciated.

That is all for now. I am working on getting better at posting again! It is always so nice to feel the love from the YaYa's!

Thanks for the update on Suzanne's mother, Liz :(

Is it just me, or is the DIS clock screwy

I'm so sorry to hear about Suzanne's mom :(
My heart goes out to her and her family!

I think the whole time change thing varies with where you live... we live far enough north and west here that I hate the summer one. Light until 10 PM isn't good... at least I don't like it. Then again it is dark way too early in the fall. I guess I wish they flipped them ;)

Ugh, me tired...

Pam I am glad that the computer worked... stupid things sometimes. I swear there are things on mine that are killing me this week. Just have spent a lot of time fixing and tuning... so not much time for posts and stuff.

Oh I forgot to give Opera as another browser to use. Not my fave, but very stable.

Enjoy the play Nancy! And I can't wait to see pics of the costume!

The time here was messed up with the DST change in the summer, so I switchd time zones... so this morning I just switched back to EST.

Going to lay down and sleep. I plan on going htrough pics and responding to PMs this afternoon. I'm so behind on social stuff due to my fixing things this week.

Just wanted to stop in tell Suzanne that I'm so sorry about your mother. :( My family will be keeping your family in our thoughts!

hugs,
tara
