Deena, definitelyl call about the Magical Express. I would take it in May, but I'm staying at the Dolphin the first night, so I won't be able to. Bummer. So, I'm going to take a towncar. I'm spoiled like that, plus I'll be able to make my grocery stop and get my diet pepsi. But in the future, I'll consider taking Magical Express, and using wegoshop for groceries.

Elaine, the iPod is all repackaged and ready to go back to the store. Best Buy has a 30 day return policy on them, so I'm going to bring it back. I get lousy battery life on the thing anyways. It's supposed to be eight, but I'm lucky if I can get six. So, hopefully it won't be an issue. I have all the packaging.

Tara, don't blame me for shortchanging you on the snow. Blame Bethie for wishing it on me instead of you. It's all Bethie's fault.

Welcome, chowdah!! All and sundry are welcome here, whether it's just for a visit or moving in! My name's Beth, although many of the sistahs call me Bethie, despite my advanced age. I don't mind, as long as they don't call me late for dinner!! If you'd like to stay, feel free to "bring" a couple of "cabana boys" to wait on your every whim and desire, just check first to see if your choices are already taken--we don't share our boys very well. Mine are Mel Gibson and Michael Shanks and it's OK if you've never heard of the 2nd guy. I like the obscure, but cute young'uns. I think there are still some openings down in the massage room, if you need a massage. The hot tub is available, or there should be a nice fire going in the fireplace in the great room. The cafe is open 24/7, but be wary of the cook---Pam's roadkill stew will grow hair on your chest and can be used in place of mortar, should you need to build a brick wall!

Karen, I can't believe Apple lowered the price so much on those bigger iPods!!! Dang!! Hope you can work it out with Best Buy.

Yeah, no snow in Va Beach is my fault Just like the 17 feet of snow in Boston is my fault So who do we blame for the piddly little snowfall we got here in Metro DC??!! I can still see grass sticking up through it!! Roads are fine, wet and some are a little slushy, but overall, it's nuthin'. Poopy forecasters had me all excited that we were finally going to get some good stuff. I don't think we have anything to worry about for the trip this weekend.

Oh, chowdah, thanks for mentioning Magical Express! I've been waiting for more info to come out about it! Deena, I think Elaine & I are both planning on trying it, so we''ll be sure to let you know how everything works out. Although, it sounds like Elaine can afford to spring for a limo for us, now!! j/k, my friend!! Congrats on the windfall!!

Nancy, sorry the shopping yesterday wasn't as productive as hoped. But just think, that means you get to go again!!! I have NEVER owned a little black dress--or a BIG one, either, for that matter. Black is just tooooo depressing for me.

Tired here... so making this short!

Karen, sorry aout the battery life on yours. I don't run mine on battery that much, but when I do, I know I get mostly 8 hours out of it if not more. Do you turn the back light off? I know that helps mine. But I doubt I would have benefited from this one too much, as the regular iPods are the same price and all that... the photos I would have had to pay more to get the amount of space I wanted. Enjoy the new one if you can get it!

Hi all... got a little note from Karen... her boss could use a few prayers. Poor guy...

My boss had a heart attack today and is in intensive care. I had to do the cardiogram on him that told him he was in the midst of one and I had to get him over to the hospital. This is the second time I have had to deal with something serious with a boss. My last boss in this practice died in 2000. I got that call too. Im worried about my boss and nervous. Im waiting on pins and needles to find out how the cath went. I left the hospital as they were putting the stent in. His wife is with him and promised to call me when he is all settled in a room. Im worried about her too. They are such sweet people that I would do anything for. He is a wonderful boss and I just want him to be okay. He looked so bad when he came in the office. I knew then it was a heart attack by just looking at him. I could use some calming prayers and some prayers for him that everything will be okay.

Just wanted to let you know that because of Beth, we got another four inches of snow, and it's still coming down. Thanks a lot Beth.

So the storm wasn't bad in DC? Our DC office closed at 3:00 yesterday because everyone was freaking out about it. Wimps. LOL.

Lily, for the iPod minis, they have a longer battery life (eighteen hours as opposed to eight hours). Although, one thing about the new one is there are less accessories with it. The new version does not come with the battery charger, so I'd have to charge it with my computer. Or buy the charger for $29 since that is a feature I want when I travel. So, now, I'm basically looking at about a $20 price difference for more battery life. Maybe I'll stop in the Apple store before I go to Best Buy to return it.

OK, I'm putting myself in time out for the weekend....sniffle......sniffle.......

We got a little more snow after the sun went down, so we ended up with about 4" here, too. It's gorgeous! The slush underneath is frozen and the parking lot here is treacherous, but once we get out onto the main road, we should be fine. All the schools are closed, so traffic is light and the trucks have been out all night. From what I can see on the TV news, the highway is wet and that's it. Don't have to be at the church to load up the bells and all till 9 (Sara moved it back an hour), so I'm enjoying not having to rush!

Karen, I'm so sorry to hear about your boss's heart attack!! Will definitely be keeping him, his family and his caregiver's in my prayers! Try to relax, there is nothing more you can do besides pray. Ya done good getting him to the hospital--don't know if I could have managed that.

Jellybean, yes, they're all wimps in DC for having closed at 3 yesterday! Although, I guess it made the regular rush hour a little easier since that's when the heavier snow started falling--around 6. I'd come help ya shovel if I weren't going to Chesapeake.
