Good evening everyone! Everyone sure was chatty today. I don't have time for a full ketchup now, but I did want to say hello 
Karen, I have to say agree with Elaine and Liz. Take your doctors advice. Stress and being upset can affect your sleeping patterns. If you wake up in the middle of the night and start thinking about not being able to sleep, there is something that is bothering you. Talking to a therapist can help you identify where those stresses are in your life, and help you come up with ways to cope with those stresses.
If you aren't going to take your doctor's advice, perhaps you should consider getting a second opinion from another MD. It's not doing you any good to come here and second guess your doctor. If you feel his diagnosis is that wrong, then you need to be proactive and seek the advice of doctor.
