Sorry to hear about your mil kimmar  You could go ahead and cx now if you think dh wont want to go even if his mom has the surgery and is doing better; or if you think he will want to go if she is doing good you still have til 6 days before you go to cx.
Im not really sure why your dh is against the surgery but sounds like she needs it with several blockages. Prayers for your family.

..."flashbacks" when they cut open my FIL 10 yrs ago (he had minor surgery) and it "made his asbestos cancer spread like wildfire", to which he succumbed 6 mos later....I guess he feels that this is gonna happen to his mom, too... :confused3 !

Sending out good thoughts and prayers for your MIL, Kimmar

Karen

Kimmar, my thoughts and prayers are with your MIL. It sounds like your DH might be scared of the same thing happening (irrational, but understandable all the same). I hope all will go well. And no, I wouldn't cancel until the last possible moment when you *know* what is going on.

My sister described getting off a cruise ship and walking around feels much like when one is drunk... I agree ;)

So I am hauling my drunk self to bed and going to bed. Catch y'all tomorrow :)

Kimmar, I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL!! All of you will be in my prayers tonight.

Elaine, welcome home! ...My turn. I'm bad. I've been lazy. Very nice pics by the way!! Tomorrow! I promise! :)

Nassau... Oh boy! Learned my lesson... we'll never go there again! Pam, we had a scary ride there too. Ours was in an ANCIENT limo, driven by a horn honking mad man. ...and as far as the people approaching you... it was rampant! We couldn't walk 10 feet without someone asking us for money. They would follow us, offering little tidbits of Nassau trivia, and then stick the hand out for "payment". The minute we said "no", they'd walk away and another would approach. Eeeep!

Hey cute Disney pics you posted Tara! :)

Hi Caroline! It's good to see you again. Are you successfully outrunning that funk? I've had one after me a bit today too. It more of less caught up with me too. Bleh. Nope, no 'do pics yet. I go back on Wednesday to have her change a few things. The colors just aren't blending quite right.

Our pool came down today. :( Sniff sniff. I didn't think it would make me sad, but it did. Seven years of memories. :( I'm such a sap.

Hi Paula! I hope you can get those glasses soon. I need some too. Been holding out, but finally bought an OTC pair. Ack! It was awful!! They helped!!! I'm officially middle aged now. Snork!! :p Gift ideas for 18 year olds... ugh. No idea. Gift cards?

Liz, have fun with the shuffle! Are you still mulling? How about a hug to go with the mulling?

Deena, will we get to see Evan in his glasses? Little ones look so cute in glasses!! Cam had a pair for reading when he was little. Oh my gosh... what a doll!

Hey Sherry! How was the bowling party?! Did you have a nice visit with your friends? Some good friends of ours were here for the day, and will most likely come over next Sunday as well. Terry helped Tom take down the pool. Sigh. :( Carol and I perused Home Interior catalogs and the Bible. LOL!

Welcome Jackie!! Come see us again!

Tara how was the Super Bowl party? That was you that attended one, right? Ack! I waited too long to ketchup. Memory is failing. I DO however remember that you had new sig pics and they are adorable! I hope things settle down with the coworker/former mentor that is making you a little crazy.

JRKaren.... Congrats to your cousin and DH on the arrival of the twins! What an exciting time for them!

Lily, YES!! Get that Shuffle for the treadmill! My MP3 player isn't an IPOD, but I tell you, it is a major boredom buster for me on my treadmill! I also read on the treadmill, which helps too. I'm finding though that reading on the treadmill w/glasses on is a wee bit interesting. In addition to my CD collection, I also get songs for the player from ITunes and Walmart.com.

Pam, your son has done some really amazing things! I remember a trip he took... was it last year? So neat for a young one to do! The mission trip to SD will be another one I'm sure.

Rose Mary, The Super Bowl thing sounded great!

Nancy, yay for new carpet! I hope Christin feels better soon.

Stacy, cute tag!! Like Todd I axed mine a few months ago and now regret it. What a dummy. I should've left them alone.

Suzanne, how's the leg doing?

Karen... LOL!! your dog laying on the remote was too cute! Minnie HATES the remote controls. If they are left in a chair or on the couch, she will drag a blanket over to them and cover them up. What the heck is up with that?!

Beth, I had no idea you could put electronic books on Ipods! What a cool thing!!

Well... going to see if I can shake off the funk that managed to wrestle me down to the ground today. Ho hum.

Have a good evening everybody!

Quick...
Kimmar...hugs to you and I hope everything works out with your MIL!

Nancy...sorry my mind often resides in the gutter!! I just found your abbrevation funny! We have a bowling teammate whose initials are VD and she hates it when we plug in the full name because she comes up as VD!!

I'm just back from teh superbowl party...wasn't real impressed with the game or the commercials. But I did have fun!! I'm beat so I'm gonna head to bed now!!

hugs to all!
tara

Tara my mind likes to visit the gutter as well so I did get it and I thought it was funny :teeth:
Nausau sounds a lot like Cancun. I loved it in Cancun, it was so pretty but everywhere you turned people were trying to sell you crap and at one bus stop on our way back from Chichen Itza 3 old ladies were just standing by the bus with their hands out. No offer of services, no nothing just a hand sticking out :confused3 :rolleyes2

Prayers and DP for you, Kimmar, and all your family.

pfishgirl I think it was the visit to the chocolate vault that did the trick....the TAG FAIRY is a well known chocolaholic ::yes::
Good night, YA YAs, sleep tight.

kimmar...sorry to hear about your MIL. Best wishes for her and your whole family.
I agree with Elaine. I would wait until you know more before changing your plans.

Good night.

Night ALL Sleep Well

Hiya Ya Yas.

'nother exciting night at work for me, so I thought I'd pop in for a minute. ;)

Kimmar, so sorry to hear about your MIL. I hope everything works out. My best to you and your family.

I just noticed I got tagged! :Pinkbounc Thank you tag fairy, wherever you are. That really made my night! :lovestruc

Good Morning!

No time to ketchup, just wanted to say
Had a fun weekend. :)

Morning all... it was rough getting up this morning... I haven't gotten up that early in a while!

I have to say as much as I like cruising the caribbean, it is really heart breaking to see how many live. And I found out if you learn a wee bit of Spanish, they'll be more apt to leave you alone :p But I cannot count the number of times we said "No, gracias" down there to people.

LOL, Stacy... I admit I never honestly got totally drunk in my life... hard to believe I bet :p I didnt' have any trouble on the ship... just the day or so after we got off was kind of weird for me.

Kimmie lazy? Wouldn't have guessed ;) But I do think if you get Deena to post her little one in glasses that we get to see you in them :teeth:

Okay I am so tired still... and have work to do... just catch up stuff. I will see y'all later :)

LK, I noticed... I think I am glad that you and Pam normally post on two separate threads

When worlds collide...... ;)

Hi Pam! :wave2: I think we have skeered E a little bit. :rotfl:

Hello Ya Ya's! :wave2: I've got some leftover chocolate fondue from my Bunco party yesterday. Would anyone like some?

G'morning, everyone! Just dropping in before I head out to play in traffic. Busy weekend with working on Sat. and then yesterday, our Bible study class got moved up to 1:00 so we wouldn't miss the Super Bowl  Just didn't find much time for play in all that, but I did get all the laundry done and the linens changed. I know, I know, I lead SUCH an exciting life......ho-hummm

Kimmar, adding your MIL and the entire family to the prayer list. What a tough situation, especially for your DH with his past experience. I'm in agreement with those who suggest contacting WDW, explain the problem and find out what your options are.

Welcome home, Elaine!!! Walking a little funny for a day or so, huh? I will have to remember that!! Love the pix so far and can't wait to see more. Sunrise and sunset at sea is just breathtaking, isn't it?!

Alan, I just LOVE that shot Elaine got of you and that beautiful woman you married! Rebecca simply glows!!

 Kimmie!! Good to see you again! for the funks, hope they depart quickly.

Shoot....gotta dash! Hope to have a bit more time to play at work---boy genius is in Calif. ALL week!!!!! Mad, mad love to all and :grouphug:

Kimmar, and prayers coming your way.

Welcome home, Elaine!

Kimmie, the bowling party was a hit. The boys all had a blast. :teeth: Home Interior books and the Bible? Very interesting. :teeth: Glad you had a nice visit.

OK, gotta go back and read some more.

Elaine--actually I DO believe you, ONLY because I have a Hubby that has never tried a single cigarette or drug or got Drunk like drunk drunk in his life.

Me...well...I got drunk more before I was 21 then after !!! :rotfl:
Although I know that once and only once I was really drunk and drove home. THANK GOODNESS I didn't hurt anyone in the process. That was the very last time I got drunk....

Caroline-- Congrats on your new tag(s), not sure if they are Both new or just one. :confused3

ok well my Avon order just arrived so off I go to sort, inspect and bag all my stuff..and to look at the new brochures.. I am my own Best customer!!

Take Care ALL and Have a wonderful Ya Ya kinda Day !!!

Hi all....very glummy day here at work. Some of my close friends here are being layed off today. Just needed to get that out since we're not allowed to talk about it amongst ourselves. Thanks :( :sad1:
