I GOT MY iPOD!!!!!!!

And I LOVE it!!!!!

Got LOTS of songs on it and ready for my next walk!!! Lily, I did get it loaded with ALL of my music....which was a BIG mistake....too many slow songs for walking.....so after my 2 mile walk, I came back home and reloaded it with all my upbeat stuff....so I must admit, I agree with Bethie's parls of wisdom. Lily, it is VERY easy to get the music onto your puter then to your iPod!! I highly reccomend one. Also, if you go to the Circuit City website, they will email you when they have them in stock if you order on line. I can let you know when I get that email if you would like.

JRK......no chance of snow here. It was over 50 out and just beautiful.....as was the FedEx man :earseek: But about Bethie buying all those iPods......you might be right there!!! Sounds like you had a great day!!

Paula, I feel for you!! I think it may be time for me to go visit the eye doctor!! It is not fun doing all the squinting I am lately. I am sure the headaches are no treat either!! Hope Uncle Sam is good to you and you can get those glasses sooner than expected. I was thinking a fun gift for an 18 y/o might be 18 scratch off lottery tickets....don't you have to be 18 to play? And who knows what hte outcome might be? Could be fun!!

Karen, sounds like you had a good day. How is your not smoking coming along?

Bethie, enjoy getting your study stuff done! I know how much you love figuring out all those funny biblical names!! Maybe you have made it to the new testament....Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are names that I can actually pronounce!!

Pammy, I just wanted to let you know that I think you are pretty groovey too!!! What's new in your neck of the woods? Any new stories to tell. I so love your stories!!

Well, I am off to chill out. It has been a wierd weekend. I miss Greg, Barkley misses Greg and there just seems to be LOTS to mull over in my little brain.

Toodles for now.....mad, mad, mad love...

hey gang!!

I don't want an iPod shuffle...I want the regular iPod that holds a million songs. What pray tell will I do with it? Darned if I know...it just seems to cool not to have!! I don't want a BaB yet...I have two little boys to dress everyday!! :teeth: and soon a neice...so I'm good to go on the dressing thing for a while.

We finished our shopping and the pregnant one was about to drop she was so tired! We hit 2 baby stores and had lunch. I helped get Beth registered for the little stuff. Chris is going to go with her this week to register for the rest of the big stuff. We did mostly the piddly stuff today! But it sure was fun. I bought her two sets of onesies that were all pink and white and had sayings like "its all about me" and "I'm the princess"....all that diva type stuff.

Beth is funny b/c she is finally used to the idea that she is having a baby and that she is going to have baby stuff around. Her main concern is that it won't match the decor in her house :rotfl2: Boy is she in for a ride when this baby gets here and her perfect little house is not so perfect anymore!! hehehe But we had a good time!

Karen...sounds like a major heat wave...and could you please not talk about Changs!!!! I haven't been in ages!! :(

Karen...glad the truck is sold and that you will be saving money. Hope things are looking up all the time for you soon

Paula...go for the gift card for a store or a restaurant. But if you get a restaurant make sure it is one your DD likes too :teeth:

Nancy...did you get the carpet picked out yet? A scraping room sounds neat...I could have one of those if I could get rid of all the **** I have around this house!! Unfortunately that is easier said than done!!

Lily...keep at DH and you should be able to get what you want. Better yet tell him you will pick out what you want and he can give it to you for Valentines day :teeth:

ibouncetoo..welcome to club med...so were you stalking JRkaren?

Liz...did you go to the meet? Glad Greg made it to his aunt's house. Good luck on finding a warm place to settle down or getting a job which ever comes first. (oh and I'm down another pound!! woohoo!)

Pam...I don't see the sneaky smiley! But I say you are not computer challenged because by "delegating" it to another person you have, in effect, completed the task you set out to do...i.e, therefore, and furthermore..you are tech savy!!

Hi to the rest of the kiddos...let's see if I can remember some and in no particular order:

Kamma
Kimmar
John
Todd
Amanda
Alan
SSB
Caroline
Stacey

WOW! Am I ever tired! But, we had a fantabulous time. there were thousands and thousands and thousands of Eagles fans and very few Patriots out. The :sunny: was shining and it was a beautiful day. Lots of free goodies and the BAB trailer was such fun even if we did stand in line for an hour. Ok, to see a pic of the new edition to our family go to: http://photo.buildabear.com then enter 41077714. You all know I Am UNCOMPUTERIZED and can't post it myself. DS would not get in the pic with me. His name is Super Bear (I know very original  ). And you can't really see the Eagles shirt DS picked out. PAM You an Eagles fan? Have a BAB Eagles shirt??????????/ Anyway, it was very fun and we are very exhausted. DS is getting a bath now and I'm right behind him. We walked for miles and met some really wonderful people. The two ladies in front of us were sisters from PA. and had on these crazy Philly cheesesteak hats. People kept asking for their pic. Silly me didn't think to get one. Anyway, they were hilarious and so much fun. Oh, I did find out OUR BAB store is the "test" store and has all the scrapbooking aprons and new stuff way before anyone else does. Isn't that cool? Ok, can't see straight anymore.
I know it's a very ME post but, we did have fun. I'm really glad I took DS and he SO had a good time.
Later gators..........................

Liz sneated and got her iPod!! woofreakinghoo!!!

:teeth:

Liz-I think we will have to book our excursion after the trip is paid off....
My buddy has talked me into doing the snorkeling at castaway cay...
He went last year & loved it....Ipod,huh? must be nice..

Mad Love to all...

*sneaks back into the resort and peeks around*

You guys still live here, right? Ok, good. ;)

So every time I think I'm going to be able to sit down for some ketchup, some other kind of crazy thing comes up and steals my bottle. I'm afraid I've had to retire my ketchup crown, but I'm going to try to get back in the race. Some day I will return to the throne. princess:

I don't even have anything exciting to say that I've been doing. Just mad busy with work and real, non-computer life (*gasp!* I'd forgotten there was such a thing!). Truth be told, I've been fighting a bit of the depression monster the last little while, so I've been kinda less interested in things I usually can't do without. I'm upping my exercising again, which seems to be shaking off the funk (or maybe I'm just outrunning it - heehee).

I've also taken up drawing again, which is something I really, really used to love and still have lots of supplies for, etc, but haven't really done for a long time. My skills aren't where they used to be, but after a few really 'ug' things, I'm shaking off some of the rust. That's makin' me happy, although it is eating into my non-work computer time. Honestly, though, that's probably a good thing for me, even though I miss ma sistahs in here. :grouphug:

Ok, boring personal stuff over. Let's get to the ketchup! Grab a drink .. this could be a long haul.

JRKaren, sorry you had to work on your birthday. That's great news about you going to Texas though! I'll start putting aside some extra bail money. Your neighbours sound like a pain. I hate the guy who lives upstairs from us too (the one who leaves his tv on so loud all night I can hear what they're saying, the one who left his bathtub on for 7 hours in August and flooded us, the one I'd like to punch in the neck.. that guy). Hope your toilet is behaving itself now. Misbehaving toilets are dangerous things. ;) Hooray for DSL! Great news about your cousin too! Congrats!

Liz, how's the training for the 1/2 marathon coming? Are you walking that or running it (sorry if I missed that somewhere). Those butt-dancing icons are great! Can we petition to get those added?! :rotfl: Weather up here hasn't been too bad lately, although yesterday and today were actually smoggy, so it looks and smells gross outside. Oh, and the new job .. well, I'm not gonna do it after all. It is going to be almost the end of March before they are able to get it organized, and by then I will (hopefully, fingers crossed, depending on what I hear from schools) only have 4 months left here. So it doesn't make a ton of sense for them to train me and then have me leave. Soooo, I'm stayin' put. It's ok though. I'm just going to miss out on a lot of stress over on that desk anyway. Hope things are going well on the job front for you! Little Rock, Arkansas, huH? And Dallas, Amarillo .. geez all over the place! Cool! Mega-pixie dust heading your way!

Tara, I was LOL about the tofu story. My parents used to occasionally try to cook tofu and it was always a disaster. I haven't tried any since my dad's last tofu stir fry. :crazy2: Your weather guys sound hilarious. Our guys do occasionally stand outside so 'people can see the weather happening', which I think is silly since we're only in one place and we're covering the whole country, but what do I know? ;) Earlier this year when it was super cold, one of our people was outside and people were phoning in saying it was mean to make her go out! I saw you were off the weight bandwagon, but I also see in your ticker you're down another pound. Congrats! Hope Jarrod's throat is feeling better. I wish they'd taken out my tonsils when I was little too! Hooray for WDW trip planning!

Stacy, yikes about your messy house guests! My husband and I aren't neatniks by any stretch of the imagination, but your description of the mess grossed me out! Happy belated birthday to you!

Suzanne, I'm so glad your surgery went well. Hope your recovery is going well too. Do you collect Mary Poppins stuff, or just Disney stuff in general (referring to ancient post about stuff you were bidding on .. heh ;) )

Nancy, how's Christin doing in her new place? Any baked goods on the horizon this weekend? ;) Hope your computer is behaving itself. Mine seems to be back to normal after it's hijinks this weekend (and several hundred dollars later .. grumble.) I love Lily's Valentine outfit. So cute. LOL about your bananas tag. Sorry I missed that one!

Pam, no Pepsi at 10:30pm, huh? I think my blood is at least 25% caffiene at this point. Red Bull doesn't even hit me anymore. :hyper: How long did it take you to teach all those bananas to dance like that? Btw, the whole 'snowball' conversation just about killed me I was laughing so hard.

Karen, I'm glad you decided to quit smoking. I've watched people around work do that (or try to do it) and it seems so hard. Best of luck to you! Sorry you've been going through so much stress. You're not weak though, no way. I know you're strong enough to quit. I'm cheering for you. Glad you found a sooner time for your sleep study. Hope everything works out for you with your church activities. I agree with those who've suggested you could use a break though.

Amanda, glad Todd's mom's visit went well. Good to hear all's well with your family too. Best of luck to Todd for getting first shift! :)

Lainey is off somewhere on a boat, it seems. Happy belated birthday! Looking forward to seeing great cruise pictures of you and Luis.

Rose Mary, I guess it's Super Bowl day for your town tomorrow. Must be pretty crazy there! Hope your bronchitis has cleared up and you're breathin' easy now. So sorry to hear about you SIL and her family's loss. My thoughts are with them.

Paula, too bad you didn't like the hummus. Was it just plain, or a flavored kind? Hope you got something tasty while your company was having it's holiday party. We have the same set up, where they give us money if we're on shift during the party, but it's like $15 not $50. Hope your puppy is feeling better now. Sorry to hear about your DD's fender-bender. Glad everyone is ok!

Deena, glad you had a good time at Guys and Dolls at school. Is Travis usually in the school productions? Sorry to hear about Evan's lazy eye. My mom thinks I had a lazy eye that was never diagnosed. It doesn't wander or anything but my vision is pretty awful in that eye. Much better to get it fixed early!

Alan, I have to agree with the 'Elmo is cute' school of thought. Sorry. ;)

Sherry, congrats about getting a second car. That's great! :bounce: I learned to drive in my mom's Taurus. It was a good car. Happy B-Day to Jordan! My uncles never remembered my birthday after I was about .. 10? And they never sent a card or phoned or anything when my brother and SIL had their baby 2 years ago. We're their only niece and nephew too. Classy, huh? Sorry your family dropped the ball. Hope Junior is doing well.

Kimmie, any pics of the new 'do yet? Hope the hair is at least behaving itself. My hair and I kind of have an agreement - I don't do anything weird to it and it doesn't fall out or go all beheady or whatever. So far, so good. ;)

Beth, sorry your boss was being a PITA. Hope you've got him set straight. I can believe it's Easter season too. I about passed out last week when I saw all the Easter chocolate in the supermarket. It was still January, for Pete's sake! Sorry to hear your choir director is leaving. :(

Kristy, how are the spanish classes going? I loved Sasha's scrapbooking outfit. Would she be interested in working on my scrapbook for me? ;) Hooray for going to WDW!! That scrapbooking even sounds pretty cool.

Boo, hope the condo hunt is going well.

Lily, sorry to hear you've been so busy at work. Hope things are calming down a bit for you now. Sorry to hear about your DS's car too. I'm glad they were able to find a more reasonable price to fix it, though. Hopefully your vacations will still work out all right. Hope your puppies are feeling all better.

Hi Shep, Hi Kimmar, Hi Jackie, Hi Susie, Hi everyone else! :wave2:

Oooookay. This has taken about 2 hours, since I was reading as I was typing. But conveniently it's time to do some work now. :teeth: I hope this actually posts or I may go and cry.. LOL. Hugs and love to all the Ya Yas out there. I promise to try to be in here more again. I missed ya.

Talk to y'all later!

Caroline--Great ketchup...:worship:

tara--nice pics...

Everybody else in bed early.?
Bumping from Page 2...

Evening, all! Here I am, cozy on the couch, with a kid snuggled up next to me. He and Ed are watching the 24 hours of Rolex. This signifies the beginning of Speedweeks, which is the start of the NASCAR season, so DH is very happy right now!

I'm a hero in my house. Kevin tried some strawberry sauce on my cheesecake at Friday's and has been bugging us to go back ever since. I promised to make my own sauce and bought a couple of quarts berries at the farm stand on Thursday. Made the stuff tonight and boy, it turned out good...so much better with fresh fruit and all! My husband, who has always hated strawberries, tried one and realized why I like them so much. Then, I had them poaching the strawberries!

Karen, glad you'll see some savings in that monthly budget and that you got to spend time watching both boys games.

RM, cool bear! I think Pammycakes is on the other side of the state-the one where they're not happy about the Super Bowl teams!

JRKaren, yeah, powering up the DSL has a big impact on it working, heeheee...

Liz, so where is Greg? I've been trying to get him over here to see how many cheap houses are for sale, lol! Last I heard, you weren't Ipod ready-brava, chicky! I spent a lot more on my toy. The Ipod is something Ed wants, but I'm very content with my XM in the car, if they come up with a companion walkman style, I might want that.

Who had weather in the 50's? That's not that far below what we had here today. Felt good, though.

Deena, good that you got Evan's glasses. What did your little man pick? Neil looks like Harry Potter and went for the glasses to complete the look when he got his first (and second) pair.

DH has the progressive lenses, got talked into it by the optometrist (and me) and he's much happier with them. I think the glasses he got recently are so much nicer...talked him out of those big metal aviator type and into frames that are wireless on the bottom.

Nancy, how did carpet shopping go? Laptop is very nice, thank you. It's pretty cool to have my leg up and DISing. Now, if only a sleeping child wasn't leaning on me and squishing me into the arm of the couch, I'd be a bit more comfortable!

Tara, Ed's saying it's not a million songs, but enough to make him happy for a long time. Have fun watching the men slapping butts! As for me, it might be on when I get home, but it'll be an excuse to eat some yummy snacks...I'm hoping that I can get Ed to go get fondue fixings for it.

Beth, every trip I made over to that BB resulted in buying more wine at World Market, lol! Glad you got that thingy to make you happy! Yay for OT!

Shep, all I know about the excursions is to avoid Nassau, it's a dump (except for Atlantis). If you do Atlantis, you have to pay extra for the water slides. A friend did the dolphin excursion in Key West (not DCL) and loved it. Another friend LOVED the snorkeling at Castaway Cay and showed me some amazing pictures she took with a disposable waterproof camera. I don't have first hand experience yet to give you the skinny on it.

Lily, Valentine's day is coming-I hope Ted is taking note of all these really nice things you must have because your yaya sisters are such terrible influences on you. Now, tell him Suzanne got a laptop for 950 and you want one, too. Let's watch Ted come to Florida and yell at this yaya! I'm sooooo baaaaaaad!

Okay, SoCo says come and get me, so off I go. Howdy to all I missed, perhaps I'll be back later!

Suzanne

Suzanne--we had 50 degree weather here today..washed cars and spent lots of time outside...
24 hours of Rolex?
Tried figuring out what you were talking about, but then you said Nascar...lol..
Don't know anything about it....

I heard Nassau was a dump and that people approach you as you get off the ship..Don't know if I will like that or the people wanting to braid my girls hair...

Yikes, I've been sneated!

Caroline, Mary Poppins is my favorite, but my whole house is Disney...no joke. I bought a bunch of stuff to do a Mary Poppins room, and now I think I'm going to decorate it as a salon in the style of the Bank's home. I want to make my garage look like a utilidor, but Ed gets to decorate that as he wishes.

Tara, cool pics...love the new pics of the boys!

Suzanne

Hi Honeys I'm home!!!!!!

Okay, I am reading through the thread, and Tara's post caught my eye... and then this...
alabamaalan said:
Is this because he has been kept locked up with Antonio in Lainey's room?

And here she is trapped at sea with no way of getting to him. ;)
Dang it!!!!! Why was I at seas when my other cabana boy became available?!?!?!?!?! Not that meeting Alan was awful, but he's married (to a lovely lady too, by the way) and that doesn't work very well... I suppose I can ditch Luis (ha!!!) and go for Orli now (ha ha!!!)

But someone please tell me why Alan neglected to tell me this when he saw me earlier today?!?!?!?!?!

Cruise was great! Relaxed a TON yet I hardly got any reading in at all. I only got one chapter of one book read, and there is another book I've been reading daily lately (so I got my daily read of that in) but other than that, I didn't get anything done. Life was good... got some sun... looked at the skin on my back and realized it is really dry due to the gulf water (salt) and the ship water so it is pink where ever it is being rubbed by purse straps or clothing. Got a teeny burn, but Luis went lobster red on me  We discovered that I tan much better than him ;) We aren't dark dark, but look more alive than before :p

I'll do more details tomorrow... I am really tired, back is killing me and I am now sporting a terrible headache. But still happy & smiling. Have church tomorrow and then should be going to do something for my birthday with the family!

Speaking of birthdays... Happy Belated Birthday to Jordan & Stacy!!!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes!!! Mad love to you all!!! I did give hugs from y'all to Alan and no ketchups here... but I did read :p oh and to make y'all feel better... there is STILL snow on most of our front yard... inches of it too

Welcome Jackie!!!

Oh and nice pics Tara... LOVED them!!!
Oh and psssttt Kimmie... your turn ;)

Welcome home, Elaine

Yes, carpet is picked out. Measuring will be done on Monday.

RM...the new addition is a cutie :) Nice picture! Glad you had fun.

Caroline.....Christin is doing very well at the new place. Tonight was her first real night of work. We'll see how that went. She is now trying to decide about going to school for a certification in physical training.
No baking on the weekend......probably Wed.
Computer is behaving so far. Still can't resize pictures, but we picked up some software today. We'll see how that goes.
That was an amazing ketchup!!

Made a stop at See's today too :teeth:

Tara....nice pictures.

Good night.

Ooooh, I'm jealous! Nancy got Sees!

Welcome back, Elaine, hope that was a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I had to give up replying to the ringtone post, I keep killing my own posts...dunno what it is about this new keyboard...but give me a week and I'll mess up big time on my ergo board on the pc!

Suzanne

ok so I have several pages to relook over to answer my wonderful Yayas. Here are a few I could remember :teeth:

Shep-- the excursion didn't take long at all that was the problem. we all felt jipped as to the amount of time. It took about 30 minutes for the actually swimming and feeding of the Rays. the rest was waitng in line for yuky food, the bathroom, the supposely fresh water showers (they smelled aweful) oh but the boat ride out there and back was nice. oh and Yes, no offense but Nassau itself isn't worth it.. it's either braid your hair or buy a bottle of water

Caroline-- thanks for the belated birthday wishes and the messy house guests are gone..

Jackie-- wanna share my chocolate ? I have PLENTY !! :mickeybar

Elaine-- thanks for belated bday wishes too..hope yours was wonderful :cheer2:

ok someone or two someones said I need to be patient and let the tag fairy do their :wizard: magic...ummm does anyone have some patience to spare because I seem to have lost mine... :earboy2:

sooooo that is all I can remember right now so I will end it here and got look again and reread the pages of chatty yayas messages from today!!

:grouphug:

   I have frozen banana envy !! :badpc:

Hey Sherry, I think you should go to this thread and look at the signatures there. I think you'll see one you like.

JellyrollsKaren

Good Morning!

WELCOME HOME ELAINE!!!! I am so glad to hear you had such a good trip. Tell us all about what you did and what you saw. Did you get to do your formal dinner?

Caroline good to see you. Im sorry you have been battling the depression monster. We are all here for you if you want to talk or you can alway PM. Im glad to hear you are back to drawing. That can be so calming and it gets your mind off whats going on.

Nancy Im so glad you got your carpet picked out. What kind and color did you get? Ooooooo you went to Sees. YUM!

RM Im so glad you had fun yesterday!! Sounds like you had a blast. Your new addition is so cute!!

Busy day for us today. We have set up and then Kidz Church. Today is crazy hat day. Should have seen me searching through the house for something they could wear. came up with knights helmet for the little guy and a mickey pirate hat for the big guy. Acck Im so sleepy today. I could easily go back to bed and go to sleep.

Well I better get myself moving before I fall asleep at the keyboard LOL. I will checkin laters.

HUGS TO ALL!!!!

Morning all! Quick hi here... I will post a couple pics from yesterday that I took and I'll do more talk about the rest later. I have church, then lunch, then a family thing for my birthday, then laundry then sleep ;) I am tired and wobbly still, but I am sure that it will fade soon.

I did make notes on everything we did, so no worries, I will not forget :) One thing I will say though... I feel so blessed to live where I do. I could not imagine living in some of the conditions we saw as we were driving around :(

Nancy, I do hope all went well for Christin! I am sure in my quick reading I missed this, but is she feeling better now?

Suzanne, good luck with the new keyboard. I am excellent at killing my own posts as well :p

Rose Mary, I loved the pic!!! That was adorable!!!!

Oh and I have to give a big  to Caroline

Karen, I did get my formal dinner in... I have pics and more. Trust me :)

I could see why you were disappointed with the excursion, Stacy. I know some were looking for shopping in Playa del Carmen, and got on a beach & shopping tour... with more beach. They were upset because they couldn't read & do math that we'd have two places to stop to shop & 2 hours at the beach :p But, one like yours, I could understand. They should've been better about telling you how long you would have to swim.

Need to get to my camera so I can upload a couple pics.
