Sigh....Ping finished his report but Im making him do the third page over again. Unfortunately though reworded he repeated himself in the second paragraph. He's madder at me now than he was before. I'm such a mean mommy for wanting him to do well on this. Im trying to get him used to going above and beyond because that's what this middle school is going to expects of him. He can't do the minimum and do well.

Elaine I hope your back feels better. Is it your lower back?? I found a GREAT back brace made by Futuro that is doing wonders for mine. Unfortunately my rheumatologist is not on my insurance plan so I have to come up with 500.00 before they will pay him. Well he wont see me unless I can pay him up front. I asked if I could make payments and was told NO I DONT DO THAT. Well because of taking the Prednisone which did wonders for my back and then going off which caused a backlash and now it's twice as bad I finally decided to try out this back brace. It is adjustable and has two areas in the back that put pressure on the muscles to the sides of the spine. Now I wasnt sure about that part but it does make it feel a ton better. I have been wearing it since yesterday and it really has helped my back out a lot. Just a thought for yours.

Hi There.....funny story here.....Greg was in my room switching through all the channels when he gets to the TV guide channel he is so sad to find that there is NOTHING on.....until he see teh Devine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood.....so he starts to watch it!! Then very nonchalantly he says, "You wanted to watch this....right?" I wasn't even watcing it and had no clue it was on!! Too funny!!

Suzanne, LOVE that topper. Thanks for grabbing one for me. I have some toppers that NEED to be sent out too!! Tomorrow, I promise!!

Karen, how is your quitting smoking going? Hope you have been able to be smoke free this weekend. It is not gonna be wasy, but you can do it.

Oh guess what, schools here are closed for Monday, they have been announcing since about 4 pm today so my DS is a happy camper.. Little does he realise that now he will be helping me clean the house for our company on Thursday. Dust, Vaccum, Swift It the floors, Laundry and we have to clean a playpen. I was hoping to be able to scrub it outside but thanks to Beth and her snowy wish the water outside would be icecicles instead..

Soooo, we're back from our weekend. It may be pity-party on my part, but it really wasn't a very good birthday for me. The place we were going to go for the pina coladas I've been thinking about for the past 2 years closed down at some point .. our friends weren't really in to doing anything .. they forgot it was my birthday .. it was kinda too cold to do anything anyway. We were supposed to stay over at my parents' tonight, but I just wanted to come home. Meh.

Tara, congrats on being down 8 lbs. Woot!

Lily, sounds like Friday Date Night was fun for you. Oh, and I can't be held responsible for Cleveland's snow. I have a co-worker from there who's always directing snow at his family. I'll give you his address, if you and Pam and your oranges want a word with him though.

As for Bethie using it as camoflauge to stalk you .. I know nothing about that. (Did I say that right, Beth? Oops! Shouldn't have said that .. )

Stacy, alas, there were no pina coladas this year. I'll have to track down a new place, I guess. Then I'll do some good in your honor. Congrats to your DS on his honor certificate.

Karen, I actually don't even own a car. I had one for a while, but I never used it, so I got rid of it. I live so close to the city of Boston, that it's easier to just use public transportation. There is just too many cars on the road in Boston.

Liz, that was sweet of Greg to think that you'd want to watch the yaya movie.

Uh oh, someone warn BaB that Nancy is coming, and she has money! And confetti. Lots and lots of confetti.

Bethie, you still in hiding? Or are you really making your way up to Boston to stalk and shovel for me? You know I still sort of like you despite the fact that your wishing hit us with so much snow!

Good freezing morning all! Would rather be at home in bed, but since that isn't happening...

Karen, I do have most of my trouble with my lower back on average, but that won't ever be fixed by a brace. I know what I need to do with that one, thanks to PT, and I'll deal with that forever. Some day I hope to have those muscles rebuilt better. In the mean time I lean back a lot (what I should do more of). My upper back was hurting me like crazy though... I blame that on being "blessed" up top. Shopping & having to try on clothes usually winds up wearing me out there pretty quick. I just live wiht it most of the time... meds will only fix short term, so I don't deal with them much anymore.

Liz, very cute story with Greg. I would probably have watched it too if I had the TV on then. Hope you feel better today. I'll have to look at that site later... need to bypass some stuff here... won't let me get to it due to weapons

EOIP, here.........Didn't get much sleep last night. Firetruck pulled up outside our building about 8:45 last night, while we were eating dinner. After I finished up the dishes, I could see there were more headlights, just sitting out there, so I peeked. The parking lot was full of cop cars!!! Guys standing around with flashlights and talking on their radios. No idea what's going on. So, we watched the Ya Ya movie! When we went to go to bed, I could hear a generator outside our bedroom window, which is on a different side of the building from the parking lot. Peeked out to see a HUGE brown RV with the words "COMMAND UNIT" on the side, parked in the next parking area over. OMG, SOMEthing big happened in our neighborhood!! There was another RV parked behind it and the famous yellow tape "Police Line--Do Not Cross". Since the RVs were over there, we figured it was something going on in that building. Generator ran all night, I heard booted feet in the breezeway on the steps outside our apt. a couple of times, and somebody's car alarm went off at least 5 different times during the night. So, of course I had to peek this morning! Sun is coming up and the area between our buildings is full of dark figures with flashlights, obviously searching for evidence. So, I'm taking pix of all the police cars, thinking whoo-hooo, this is amazing, to be so close to something newsworthy. That's when I caught some movement out of the corner of my eye, looked down and they were bringing the body out. Out of OUR building!!!!!!! That's when I realized the police tape wasn't keeping people back from the building across the way, it was encircling ours!! So, we've been watching the news and finally, they mentioned it. 20something woman was found dead yesterday, suspicious death and police are treating it as a homicide. No info on cause of death and the guy Dave talked to outside won't say anything. And I thought we lived in such a safe area. Sigh........no place is safe anymore.

Karen...my ex lives in Paul Revere and takes the subway everywhere. He was stuck in the crash pad all weekend b/c of the snow. He was going to come and try to see Jar but he was afraid he wouldn't get back in time to work on tuesday morning. Good thing he didn't come home!!!

Amanda....hi there...my pampered chef party did me in last night...I weighed this morning and didn't like waht i saw...must focus now!

The PC party was good. I enjoyed seeing all my TDS friends. The girl who was hosting the party believes you must have enough food to feed the entire block! She had cucumbers on dip which was sitting onthe bread cooked in the tube, some kind of pizza like cheese diip for crackers, deviled eggs, chips and southwest salsa, cup cakes.....everything was made using PC products. Then the consultant made a chicken braid and a no bake cheesecake. Every time someone asked about a tool or product that the consultant didn't have with him...Lori would go to her cupboard and pull out the item and tell how she had used it. I ended up buying a low fat, low calorie cookbook, a bottle of the southwest seasoning, and a scooper for making tiny little cookies. I needed that when I was doing my christmas cooking.

I came home with a headache so I decided to take today off. I have so more cleaning I need to do and organizing of our storage space so I said I would take a "snow" day like my northern yayas!!

Well, good thing I had a snow day today, because the UPS man came a knocking at my door, and I had a package from Build A Bear. Well, I knew I didn't order anything from Build A Bear, so I knew that it had to be from a Yaya or two.

I opened the box and I saw this little guy:

His name is Jellybear, and he was sent to me by Beth and Liz. Thank you so much for the very unexpected gift, Beth and Liz!
