Okay - I'm dashing out again - it is my turn for the lunchtime Crusade To Save The World - I believe Liz has the dinner crowd and then Elaine takes over the 8:00-10:00 shift.

Pam, you are such a bossy thing!!! Yes, I will save the world this evening...however it will be done bedside! Now get your mind out of the gutter. I am still working on getting better....and it is not going so well. Started feeling better Wednesday, felt like poop yesterday. Feel better again today...but still gonna take it easy.

Sherry....DON'T DRINK THE WATER!!! Sounds like pregnancy is contageous in your family!! Congrats on all those new babies!! What fun!!! Good luck with all that planning!!

Caroline, sorry about Miami!! Good thinking on your part though. If they can't get your app straight....what could happen with your transcripts? Hope you are able to find something else to keep your mind occupied until March! The waiting is the worst!!!

Nancy, your scrapping room sounds like it is gonna be great! I can't wait to move and have a scrapping room of my own. Funny thing about all of it, I haven't scrapped in forever, because it is a REAL pain to pull all the stuff out...then there really is no place to scrap......and then to put it all away.....so I really don't do much. Everytime we go house hunting (which is often, but I never really believe we are gonna move) Greg says "Oh, and this would make a nice scrapping room for you!" I am sooooo glad eh thinks like that!! We want pics once it is all done!! Oh yeah, Lily is quite cute!!! Such a trend setter she is!! PD to Christan too!!!!

Tara, you are gonna get in trouble there girlie!! Better be careful or that girl form Joisey is gonna get you! Notice I REFUSE to use a name...just in case I manage to get them wrong!!! Whoo hoo it is almost the weekend!

Girl from Joisey, love the Sammy pic!! You two are sure to make a stunning couple!! Couple of what, I have no idea!! How goes it on your neck of the woods? Can't wait for the guided Joisey tour of the Joisey Shore!!

Girl from Cali....great pic!!! I am trying to get it all straight in my mind...Cali, Kama, Cam........some day!!! Thanks for putting a face to a name though...any name would do though!! A gueided tour of Cali would alwaysa be appreciated as well!!

Lainey, sorry about the funk! Seems to be going around. I ahve found mysel a bit funky the pastfew days too! I am sure this lovely weather has NOTHING to do with it!! t is just so blah out! I think I need some sun!! You have a nice cruise to look forward to, hope that helps....Hawaii planning is getting me through...until I see how much it is all gonna cost!!! Gotta get a job!!!! That will make thinga a bit easier!!! Feel better!!

Amanda, how are you doing today? Feeling better? Hoep things are well and you are back up to snuff! So, what are you throwing out this weekend? Continuing to hope that all of the kids (Todd included) get to keep their stuffed animals!! Enjoy teh weekend!! Can we go back to the museum? That was such fun!!!

 Todd!!! It's been a while!! Just wanted to say hey!!

SSB, so glad to hear you are up and around!!! Just take it easy. Some days are easier than others. Just take it one day at a time. Hope you are able to enjoy the time home.

Deena, you are too funny....abstract crack!!! So now that all those boys are back to school, what are you doing with all that free time? :earboy2:

Boo, you do have the wonderful gift of humor!!! Love ya for it!! Please do tell us yet another funny story!!

RM, so sorry to hear you are not feeling well and about your cousin. Prayers and pixie dust headed your way. Feel better....... :grouphug:

Kristy, I agree that Dakota sure is a little cutie!! Can't wait to see the new pics!! Nice to see you around more often.....Now keep coming back....OK!!

Bethie, it would appear that you are not listening to all of those who can pretend to look like they are working and DIS instead! I think you need to take some lessons!! Miss you girlie!!

JRKaren, are you putting in LOTS of OT.....miss your funny sel around here!! Hope all is going well, and can't wait to hear a Karenism.....I miss them!!

Lily, hope all is going well for you in Disney!! Good luck on the marathon...can't wait to hear all about it!!

Suzanne, sorry to hear you are working so hard!! I think you NEED a little R&R time in the parks!!! Maybe a nice relaxing ride on ToT would calm your nerves....or kill your vertigo!! Hope you are feeling better and have some time off in your near future!! Any new toppers? Aren't you glad we have "given" you a purpose? LOL!! Who knew toppers would ever get so addicting?

All this talk of crock pots made me find this awesome crock pot Spinich Souffle recipe. Greg makes it a lot!!! And it is yummy.....butter crock pot on all sides all the way to the top. Mix together 2 packages frozen spinich, 3 eggs, 2 cups cottage cheese, 1/4 cup flour, 1 1/2 pounds American cheese (DO NOT USE VELVEETA) 1 t. salt, 1/2 stick of melted butter. Cook one hour on high, then 3 - 4 hours on low! Enjoy as a meal or as a side! Next time he decides to make this, I think I am going to encourage him to add a can of artichoke hearts!!!! Yummy!!

Well that is all or now....gonna get a littel more rest so I can work on gettingready for that Crusade to Save the World dinner shift....bedside :p

Hi Sneaters!!

Todd, glad to see you popping in!!

JRKaren, sorry to hear aout your sister's MIL....Thoughts and prayers being said for her family.

LOL!! I would have voted to leave them up again!!!

Couple of ketchup items:

Rose Mary - I just found your post about your cousing dying. I am so sorry.

Liz - no comment about saving the world bedside - besides the Bail Fund is running a wee bit low.... :duck:

Why, oh why does Boo always catch my typos?? And make them appear so funny??? Although - at this point I could eat about a dozen boxes of Hostess Cupcakes. I'm starving, here!

Nancy, still waving my pixie dust wand :wizard: for Christin!!!

I just called DH and told him that we are heading to Texas Roadhouse tonight for dinner, after the guys get done hunting, of course.

Sheppo - my dude, my little bother - glad to see ya back in the fold!!

Duty calls - a Caped Crusaders work is never done. :jumping4:

So I decide I am going to go and invade Greg's nice big jacuzzi tub and relax a bit! Grab all the necessities, jammies, undies, towel and washcloth....he has everything else up there that I may need.....and while getting the washcloth and my favorite Princess towel... I spy the stash of LUSH bath bombs. I see a very pretty big and pink one!!! Oh and it smells great. I think I NEED this...so up the stairs I go thinking this is gonna be one great bath and jacuzzi. So I start running the water and in goes the bath bomb. Water turns PINK I mean really PINK but that is OK....it washes off...right? So into the nice, warm, relaxing, PINK tub I go. All of a sudden, I notice LOTS and I mean LOTS of little PINK confetti hearts. How in the world did Nancy get to my Bath bomb? That is all I can think of. So of course I am waiting for them to melt, these things do melt, right? WRONG!! They are paper.......so no jacuzzi. What fun is that? OK, so I will enjoy the good soak....but hey I am starting to feel well, yep, you guessed it......PINK! My skin is PINK! Oye!! So I let all the water out of the tub. Think twice about saving and drying all those cute little confetti hearts,(thinking I might be able to get them back to Nancy) but let them rush down the drain. Sorry Nancy, next time I will try harder. Well then I discover my tub is........PINK! So now I am PINK, the tub is PINK and I just took a bath!!! I grab the closest bar of soap, which happens to be a very nice bar of oatmeal sent by my good friend JRKaren and manage to wash the PINK off of me....but now what to do about the tub.......man is it PINK!!! So I get dressed in my comfiest of jammies and get the soft scrub out. Finally, after much scrubbing, and a few bad words here and there added just for color, the tub sparkles again. So that is it!! My story, and I am sticking to it!!! Almost as much fon as bathtime aerobics, huh?

Sounds like what happened when DW Sue tried out that Lavender bath bomb that I bought for her at Downtown Disney, only she turned PURPLE. Yikes. But she did smell nice. :)

Someone remind me to never ever ever ever buy a bath bomb..'k thanks
I did a reading ketchup...headache is bugging me so no reply ketchups. Prayers, hugs, pixie dust go out to all in need.

toodles

ROFL, Liz. I wouldn't mind being pink.....its my fave. color. :teeth: Oh, and no need to worry about any more babies here........factory is closed. ::yes::

Nancy, one baby we already know is a boy........we're praying my other SIL is having a girl. We need a girl in our family really bad. ::yes::

JRKaren, so sorry to hear about your sister's MIL.

Hi SSB! :wave2: Enjoy your time with your kiddos.

Got my nails done this afternoon and shopped for a b-day gift for my mom. It is sooo hard to shop for someone who has everything. Picked up some of the new Cherry Vanilla and Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. Tastes pretty good.

I love stickers....that is my passion. I have loads of them.
But I do have a lot of scissors now with the addition of the rotating stand of them :)
I saw that Costco also has the big packs of paper punches.....think I need to go back and see if they still have them.

Nancy, they've also got a carousel of scissors for scrapbooking. I stopped and looked at it, fiscars and there are 20 different pairs. Had to walk away, I don't have time for scrapping.

Suzanne

Just a drive-by posting...

Liz, was that one of the bombs from Basin at DTD? I recognized the 'confetti hearts' part. I had one of those, but it didn't turn anything pink to my recollection. I guess mine was just heart deficient. Sounds like that was for the best! :teeth:

JRKaren, sorry to hear about your sister's MIL passing.

Back to work!

Hola, all.

I'm rested. I got 12 hours of sleep. Got a dull headache, but feeling pretty good. I don't have to be back to work until 6, the kids are playing with their new friend, Ed's reading the paper and we're all happy.

My solution to those bath bombs is to buy the mini ones. Not a problem with a single one, and I didn't turn funky colors, either.

I used to be Eyetalian, too, same way as Kama is!

Rolled by the house and the roof is tarpapered. They delivered some cedar, but I'm not sure what it's for. They never mentioned cedar closets, but this is nice looking 2x4's. Gotta dig out the features sheet the first salesperson gave us.

I'm a dingy. I ordered the wrong size daytimer pages, and now I've got to wait another week for new ones.

Liz, that crockpot recipe sounds really yummy. We had spinach artichoke dip last night, and that sounds really close. Kevin only seems to get veggies in soup and that dip-even picked out the artichoke pieces to eat.

Way to go, Todd, got those lights down. Next year, the lights will go up and probably stay there. Ed's afraid of heights, so if I put them up, I'll have to take them down.

Scared one of my fellow managers with the information that I would be off for five days, back for two, then be out for a week or so from the leg surgery. I feel bad that he's going to be abandoned with the other manager, but I'm so wiped out from the past few days that I'm really looking forward to my time! We're thinking of heading over to daytona to watch testing-my driver's in the group that will be testing that week, yay!

Anyone else go to type yay and type yaya...happens to me every time, lol!

TTFN-perhaps I'll ketchup some more after work...don't be too mothy, y'all.

Suzanne

Sigh.......I feel so out of it!! I've been keeping up on reading, just haven't had time to post. Been a VERY busy week, here at the office, and today is SUPPOSED to be payday. However, the boy-genius can't be bothered to approve the 2004 bonus amounts for the officers and I can't do 2005 payroll till that's done!! It's really sad when people have so much $$ that they don't realize SOME of us have to worry about it from payday to payday!! Aaaaarrrrgggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

Ya'll take a deep breath, I'm planning on making this a long one!!..........

Nancy, that's great news about Christin! Hoping her application just bowls them all over and she gets the job! Will certainly keep that situation in my prayers!! Want to see pix of the scrapping room,as soon as your computer is able, that is! I'm thinking of moving my cabinets and furniture around. Love the polar bear--such a cutie!!

Sherry, what a bounty of blessings on your extended family this year!!! Happy, happy news, for sure! Now, it won't be just the boys doing all the partying--sounds like you will be quite busy with all the showers! At least it's a HAPPY busy!!

Karen, I can't believe you hurt yourself AGAIN with your coughing!! You poor thing! Has the doc suggested wrapping your midsection to prevent any additional injury? I remember when I was in the hosp. for sinus surgery, one of the other women was being advised on aftercare following abdominal surgery. She was told to clutch a pillow really tight against herself when coughing. I was just thinking that perhaps one of those elastic thingies they wear at Home Depot might help you hold it all together while you are healing. I have one that I cut the suspenders off so I can wear it under my clothes. Gentle hugs for ya, sweetie!

Tara is keeping Jarrod's potty chair next to her desk at work?! LOL!!!! I've often threatened to keep a 3 lb. coffee can under mine because the rest room is all the way at the other end of our building and the phone almost always rings when I'm down the hall!!

Caroline has a Firm DVD?!! So, does that mean there are SOFT ones, too?!? (OK, OK, ya'll don't have to groan so loud  ) I have plans for getting out our Walk Away the Pounds DVDs, but until all the Christmas stuff is put away, there's noplace to walk!! It's an obstacle course just moving around the room as it is!! Is your Firm program exercises or lifting weights or what? I am fascinated by all the different types of programs out there. Still holding good thoughts and prayers going for your grad school apps! New Haven, CT?! As in YALE??!!!! My dad went there!

Kimmie, that is such a great pic of your sweet, skinny self! But, where's your curls??!! Or is that a pre-curl pic? Reminds me of that old commercial, though....."Who IS that behind those Foster-Grants?" And yes, even YOU, could cook in a crock pot! Here's a really easy one for ya---skinless, boneless chicken breasts covered with your favorite BBQ sauce. You would not believe how good that is after 8-10 hours on low!!

Where's our P-nut, Tina?! Haven't seen you in awhile, girl!! Did you sneak off for a quick visit to DL again? Hope all is well with you and the family.

And Lainey? Did you get buried??!! Miss you, girlfriend! Hope whatever is keeping you away gets resolved or changed or whatever needs to happen.
hug.gif

Rose Mary, I hope you get to feeling better real soon! It's a shame to waste that good weather bein' sick!! Sorry to hear of your loss, too. Prayers for your family and bigh {{{{{{{{HGUS}}}}}}}}}}} goin' out to you and your mom.

Amanda, I hope you are feeling better! Good going on the weight loss, though! Not a nice way to lose weight, I know. How are the girls? Are Cassie's ears healing nicely? Has Mandy sworn off mint chocolate chip ice cream? You mentioned Pilates--are you doing that at home or taking a class?

Deena, sorry you won't be able to make it to WDW for the Ya Ya meet in December, but let me tell ya, you will LOVE BCV!! It's soooooo nice not to have to cross the bridge and all to get to Boardwalk from Epcot! Rooms are the same size, so there's really no difference there--just colors. And Beaches and Cream is right there........!!!

Love the talk about scrapbooking supplies and organizers, etc! I found the neatest carryall for my paper--it's called the Scrapper's Companion and is about 13 x 13. It's sorta like accordian pleated, but it's actually pockets. I think there are probably 10 pockets and it probably opens up to a good 12 inches deep at the top. the bottom is fixed at about 3 in. deep. It's like black luggage material, too, and the top folds over and velcroes shut. Shoulder strap and a strap across the back so you can slip it over the handle of your wheeled supply case, if you like. I keep all my other paper/scissors/adhesives/stickers/embellishments in a blue Fiskar's crate on wheels that has the telescoping handle and a canvas liner with a top. The liner has pockets all over the inside and out and I just love it!! Both pieces have really helped me to clean up my scrapping area cuz I can just open them on the floor next to me and have the whole table to work on. Then when I'm finished for a bit, I just shove them back under the table!

Kristy, it's so good to see you posting more often! I have truly missed you while you've been immersed with your bean-counting books! Just don't start posting in Spanish, PLEASE! And what's this about talking to vending machines and refrigerators??!!!  Add computers and copy machines for me. and whew!! I though our weather was warm in the 60s, but you've been getting 70s?!! Yep, I think we'd be running the AC too.

Jeannie, the HOSTY TOTSY Ya Ya!!! Love your DHs sense of humor!! And I must agree, I'm betting you two make BEAUTIFUL music together! Care to tell us about your instruments? Just remember, this IS a family board

Ooooo, Suzanne!!! Sounds like your house is coming along great!! Must be so exciting to watch it grow like that! Sorry to hear about the vertigo and the long days at work. Leaving a  here for ya!

SSB, glad to see you are feelin' a bit better. I'm sure you will have up days and down days as you recover. Feel free to drop in anytime for a dose of Ya Ya hilarity!!

Liz, glad to hear you are bing good and resting to get better! I must admit, I am very appreciative that you waited till I was home to get sick  Seriously, take care of yourself and don't worry too much about the diet till you are feeling better. Remember, feed a cold, starve a fever!!

JRKaren, what a PITA situation at work. I feel for ya! I just don't understand corporate mentality these days. Why is it better to bring in someone new than to utilize someone who at least knows something about what's going on?!! Hope yesterday's ice didn't do you any damage. Sorry to hear about your sister's MIL. sounds like an amazing woman!

This ketchup is taking soooooo long.......I bet there's a whole page of sneaters since I started.........Yep! There sure is!!

Hey, Laine!! Here's another
hug.gif
for ya. Hope things improve at work and you can shake your funk soon. TGIF, anyway!!!

And now my work day is done and I am heading home! Hope to catch ya'll later!!

Evening YaYas!

Bethie, that was one amazing ketchup there, lady!! You rock! I certainly hope Boy Genius wakes up and realizes some of us need a paycheck now and then! The pic is post curl. They're all gone now... thank goodness. Nice for awhile, but they started making me crazy. I lost too many scrunchies, combs and pins in that rat's nest!

I know this ketchup won't even begin to hold a candle to Liz, Beth or Caroline, but here goes!

Boo Girl... Mr. Boo's joke! Snerk, groan snicker... :p

I MUST attempt some crock pot creations. Ya'll have inspired me!

RoseMary, my condolences to your family! I'm so sorry!!

Suzanne, sending good thoughts to you! I hope you're able to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing weekend and the vertigo and panic attacks will become a thing of the past!

Karen, I'm so happy to hear life is feeling good!! ...and you are right, you most definitely have a keeper of a hubby! He seems like a such a sweet guy!

Eeeeeee-laine?! Hi. ;)

Ummm... how many paper thingies do I have? Gosh... I dunno. I do seem to have a lot of paper though. I sort've have a paper fetish. Never know what you might need ya know.

Caroline! Scrap with us! Fun stuff!

Any calls for Christin, Nancy?

SSB! How ya feeling?! Have fun with those kids!

600 ct. sheets!? Oh my!

Okay, first of all... I will admit, I'm completely out of the celebrity loop. With that out of the way... who is Chad Lindberg? I know I should probably know, but... I'm a movie/tv dork.

Hey Todd.. good job on the lights! :cheer2:

JRKaren... condolences to your sis and family! Sounds like she was quite a fighter! Bless her heart!

Liz made herself PINK?!? Hee hee! :rotfl:

You people are chatty...
I have been lurking & haven't officially got back into the DIS groove lately...
Last 2 weeks have been great having both girls at home....

Hope all are feeling better by now..... :wizard: maybe this will help :wizard:

Hey Shep-Man!

Thanks to all for well wishes.... took GREAT long walk with the kiddos this afternoon/evening... even found some wild tangerines growing... kind of neat. They are watching Toy Story, so took a quick gander over this way. Hope that all are having a nice night. :)

OMG!!! I just re-read my ketchup and realized I missed our Caped Crusader! Good seeing you, Pam, and I am so relieved to know that you and Liz and Elaine are on the crusade trail, saving the world! So, what hunt is on now--deer? Guns or bows? And how was Texas Roadhouse? I can imagine you WOULD be kinda scrapped out after that marathon you put in for your DDs graduation last summer! I still think we ought to get our heads together and plan a Ya Ya crop one of these days.......

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Liz is PINK!!! I think that story qualifies for the funny story thread!! OMG, that is tooooo funny!!!!

 for ya, Todd. Hard getting back to RL after holiday vaca, isn't it. Bet you and your little angels had a great time! I know I certainly enjoyed playing at the museum with ya'll! Even if "Little Karen" DID have more fun than anybody

Hey, SSB! Have a great time with the kids this weekend...To Infinity.....and Beyond!!!!

Eeeeeee-laine?! Hi. ;)
Such a lovable twit you are...

Let's see, no way I am even going to begin to catch up here. I have been here and have been lurking quite a bit. I did have some DIS issues yesterday, but that was half an excuse considering the mood. I didn't want to come back to work. Sadly, I can't see myself quitting anytime soon... that's a whole other matter though, and some of the on goings really should get to me, but I am so apathetic about my job, it's kind of sad. But meh... moving on...

I was asked on New Year's Day what the best and the worst thing about 2004 was... the best by far was having Luis join me at WDW. Anyone who knows anything about me would understand why that is so important to me. Dawn was shocked that it wasn't the weight loss... that is nice, but truthfully in the end, what matters is I have my husband with me at a place like that. That brings me to the worst part of 2004. I nearly lost him... me being private and anti-mush ;) I never said anything really. Not to many at least. It changed a lot inside of me during that time, but I was lucky... I fought and I won. And this same man who had me wondering if I could financially survive if he were no longer in my life came home with a dozen roses today. He picked some beautiful peach ones thinking that they were the closest he saw in color to the ones I carried when we were married. He knew red was not really the best option (though would be liked... I reserve blood red for my mother) and so he sought out something he knew I would be in love with.

Let me tell you in the nearly 9 years we've been together, he not once has ever brought/bought me a single flower or plant, let alone a dozen roses... and no, I don't expect him to do it for another 9 years ;)

He knew I needed something because I just haven't been myself the last few days. So he bought me flowers, took me out to dinner and was a perfect gentleman. We came home and he picked out a silly movie to lighten my mood even more and we watched it while cuddled on the couch... okay Cleo had to join as well :cat:

I could keep rambling, but I avoided a lot over the holidays, lost a lot of sleep and just became overwhelmed greatly by way too much (work and personal). I pretty much lost it on Tuesday and let my temper get the best of me with a really good friend of mine. That was kind of the tip that set me over the edge. Wednesday I felt so... not me. The temper being lost fortunately didn't hurt the friendship, and I am blessed that they were so dang understanding with me. But it all became too much. So... as usual, I hide when that happens... far and fast. Well... not so far that a few didn't help me hang on ;) All is okay though... nothing serious really...

and so here I type it all out for no one in particular... but hey, when was the last time I ever shut up when someone really wanted me to?

I am kind of busy this weekend though... I have some filming stuff to do tomorrow afternoon, and if I am lucky I will get out for a long over due visit in the morning before hand (provided the weather doesn't suck). So at this point if I am not around, it is becuase of that. Oh and I am working on a small solo I get to sing in a week at church. Just a very jazzy piece of maybe 20-30 seconds, but I want it totally down pat so I can "have fun" with it and not mess myself up. That and I am working on another part that I may need to know in the future. So my weekend is kind of full, but nothing too bad.

Mad love to you all, and I'll be around more, promise :)

600 ct. sheets!? Oh my!

Ooooohhhhh yeah, babeeeeeeee!!!!!! :cool1:  MMmmmm soft and soooo comfy!! Heaven, I'm in heaven.....

Liz is the Pink Lady, just like in Grease!! WE need to get her one of those satin jackets with her name embroidered on it!

Yeah - Beth  I noticed you had left me out of your ketchup. I would have retaliated but I had a run in my Superhero tights and I had to dash to the drug store to buy a replacement pair. Yep - went to Texas Roadhouse - on a Friday night - in a rural area where there's nothing to do except watch the creeks rise or our 1-10 HS basketball team play. We had a 1.5 hour wait to get seated. I even started watching wrestling on the TV in the waiting area.....

Elaine  It sounds as though you and Luis have rekindled that  puckerup: feeling! Peach roses?? How pretty!

Yay to SSB for taking a walk! :cool1: Your recovery is nothing short of amazing!

Well - I should hit the sack - have to get up at 6:00 to go cover an awards breakfast banquet in Ohio. Of course it begins at 8:00 am....
