Evening, one tired yaya here. I was expecting to go in for another 4 hours this am, but instead I found that my little scanner that I would use to inventory was broken, so I spent nine hours writing down everything in my not so little stockroom. DH was nice enough to suggest using our Olive Garden Gift Card, so we went out for dinner when I got home.

I had a Frozen Bellini and I was so tired that I didn't get even the slightest buzz from the drink.

Once again, I wanted to do a proper ketchup, but my brain prevents me...it's been vertigoed a bit today from very little sleep. The anxiety attack didn't help either-my first in quite a few years. That took me by surprise, and I didn't realize that's what was going on at first-I thought I'd had too much coffee the past couple of days.

Kama, yep, 73 days to go. I looked at the pics Ed took today and all the walls are framed out. I'm the visual person, so I would stand and say "this is where the mud room is, this is my soaking tub, here's the pantry, yada yada and they'd look at me like I am crazy. Now, I don't look silly. Kevin has that spacial skill-Ed doesn't.

Sorry, the synapses are NOT cooperating...but Karen, take care of yourself there, girly.

Crock Pots are the bomb. Ed makes pot roast every few weeks in it-the easiest thing and gosh, it's so yummy. I bought a crock pot cookbook a few months ago, but we haven't used anything out of it yet-I'll pass on any successes.

Good night!

Suzanne

Rosemary, I'm sorry about your cousin. Hope your mom finds strength to get through this rough time.

Suzanne

Karen...may I have the recipes too???

Boo loved your birthday gift to Deena.....your hubby is just clever ;)

Kimmie you look wonderful dawling!! umm...how many of those paper thingies do you have??? Am I missing something....should I have a lot more paper than I do?

Rose Mary so sorry to hear about your cousin. Please travel safely. You will be in my prayers.

Suzanne hope you're able to fight off the vertigo tomorrow. Get some rest!

Guess it's time for me to head to bed.

Thank Goodness Tomorrow Is Friday!!!!

RM...so sorry about your cousin
And hope you are feeling better.

Lily's outfit is cute, isn't it. That's why she has so many clothes  My chance to dress a girl again!

Jeannie, you are always so fun to have around.

Love crockpots......never had a problem with one. Haven't gotten to use it lately. Everyone is eating different things....and what a pain that is.

You are going to hate what I'm doing with my paper. ;) Decided I liked it like it was. Just in a plastic bin. Oh well. I can see it, it holds a lot....and I have a lot.
Also got one of those spinning caddy things with scissors :teeth:

Sherry, you are going to be the master shower planner!!

I would be happy to share with all that want the recipes. Just PM me with your email addresses and I will send the links and the recipes I have so far. I really love mine and it makes dinners just oh so easy and good. You can always use lower fat/salt alternatives for some of the ingredients. It really doesnt effect the taste in the long run. Especially now Im finding the need for ease on things.

I told dh today that lately especially things seem to be more normal around here and it's making my stress and upsetness level much much much better. Such a nice feeling. I finally feel like life is coming together the way it should be. Sure we are still busy but it just seems so much easier to handle and we seem like so much more of a family than a group of people just trying to get through days. I hope that makes sense. The kids are finally starting to take on chores that need to be done, dh is getting things done that need to get done, life is becoming more simple and my house is finally coming together the way I want and need it to. This will help me imensely.

Good Morning Everyone!!!

Even with some slappy happy pills in me last night I didn't sleep too well. Oh well it's Friday and I can relax tonight and sleep in in the morning. Nothing planned for today but work and picking up my crockpot.

Rib is a little better today. I can move without it being excruciating...still hurts but I can move around with it. Should be able to get through work fine today. I actually think keeping it moving yesterday folding clothes helped keep it loosened up. And YEA!!!! Most of the laundry is DONE!!!

My dh has been such a helpful dear while he has been off work with the kids. I keep telling him how much I appreciate all he has done. He could have just sat around and played with the kids but he got stuff done around here that I have been wanting to get done and some things I hadn't even thought of to do. I keep wondering how I got such a great hubby. He may make me nuts at times but he really is a pretty special person. Sorry Im getting sappy but what he's done just means so much to me and all of it without being asked. Most guys would have figured MY VACATION MY TIME but not him. Sigh.....I really love that guy a lot.

Decided I liked it like it was. Just in a plastic bin. Oh well. I can see it, it holds a lot....and I have a lot.

That's what I do, too. I have around 3 bins full of paper....

It's Friday! You can tell, too, because everyone here is giddy/giggly/hyper. Too bad it's my Monday. :crazy2: Ah well, I'll take it out on them next time I'm finishing a night shift on Monday morning. heh

I'm starting back 'on plan' Ya Ya diet-wise today. We'll see how that goes. I was actually within the lines yesterday too, so I guess I'm already on day 2. Hopefully that thought will give me a mental edge.

Thanks for the good grad school wishes everyone. I'm starting to get adjusted to the fact that I'll be worried about that until March or so. I'll have to find something else to focus on .. maybe I'll finally get around to making that scrap book with all the scrapping going on. ;)

Nancy, best of luck to Christin. That sounds like a really great job. That's a racy new outfit Lily has! Very cute.

Karen, that's a fancy looking crock pot. Very nice. When you use yours, does it get hot on the outside/bottom as well, or is it insulated? Glad you're feeling a little better today, but please take it easy. I'm glad your hubby is taking good care of you. :)

Kristy, I didn't apply anywhere in NC, although I looked at Asheville. I'll let you know how my crock pot research goes. Our shifts are 12 hours, and the ferrets cage is right beside the kitchen. I think I'd be worried about them all day. 12 hours seems like a long time to leave it 'unattended'.

Pam, sorry to hear you guys have so much rain. Hope the flooding isn't too bad.

Sherry, sounds like you are in for an exciting year! So much happiness in your family. :)

Kimmie, nothing resembling exercise here yesterday either. I can feel the day before in my biceps and calves though. I'm going to choose to believe that means it was effective. ;) Someday maybe I'll look as good as you do in that picture!

Hiya-ya Boo! Your hubby's joke cracked me up. I love a groaner joke. :teeth:

Rose Mary, so sorry to hear about your loss. Feel better.

Suzanne, sorry to hear you're still feeling yucky. I hope today is a better day for you. As an aside, frozen bellini - yum! I gotta have one of those soon.

All right, time for some work. Or looking at crock pots online. Or both. ;) Have a great morning everyone.

OK I have a sec...a belated b-day gift for DEENA! The GIFT of LAUGHTER...:

SO this morning over our breakfast of hot oatmeal, DH is perusing a copy of the New Yorker and says," It's a good thing the Whitney (Museum) doesn't open up a franchise in Texas."

"Why do you say that?" My overtired brain revs up the engine and starts weighing the pros and cons of galleries and museums that have started doing this...Pace Wildenstein L.A., the Guggenheim Soho, Bilbao, Vegas...

"'Cause then we'd have to start referring to the WHITNEY HOUSTON and Claes Oldebnburg in the same breath."

   GROOOOOOAN! Is that bad or what...DH came up with that all on his OWN! I thought Deena'd like it bc it had her hometown in it.:)

Toodles!

LOL dont you love it when our dh think they are hilarious?? Now would the Whitney have abstract crack or in its natural form??

Rose Mary--so sorry to hear about your cousin. I'll be keeping your family in my prayers.

Nancy thats good to just use what works best for me. As for me I use the "lay it around everywhere" method. Saves tons of time packing it back up or even putting it away, just a cram here and there and wah la! your done.

Still chilly here, we are in the high 40's, rainy and dreary. I like it though when it gets cool for while.

Good morning.

Sherry.....and isn't it fun to dress, Sissy?
You may have some new nieces to buy clothes for :) I only have one niece and she is all grown up.....and of course, can't buy Christin clothes

Deena, I would love to just keep all the scrapping stuff just laying around.....dang cats!! ;) That's why I haven't done any in so long....too lazy to take it out and then put it away.

Pam...3 bins!! You win!! I only have one full.

Caroline.....hope work speeds by for you.
Hoping Christin gets a call for an interview soon. She could have some 18 hour days at the Science Center. But she can deal with it.
We are really excited about this one.....so I hope she at least gets a call. Once they talk to her, she'll have it!! :teeth:

Karen, glad the rib isn't too painful for you today. Hope it heals fast and that cough goes away so you won't reinjure again.

:wave2: Tara, Kristy and kimmar.

Where's Elaine?? Not like her to go so long without checking in :(

Good morning, Ya Yas! :)

SSB needs someone to kick him in the rear to get going today... somehow the thrid day after surgery has me moving slowly. Felt GREAT yesterday... guess that I should just get going!

Hope that all of my Ya Ya friends are having a great Friday.. and BIGGO fun weekends ahead for you all! I have my kiddos this weekend, which should make for plent o' excitement around the SSB estate... haha!!

Nancy, I am sort of smiling knowing about the PM I sent not too long ago and the post you just made... well smiling because I feel silly and a bit guilty.

Quick one here... I am in a funk... don't ask, don't feel like getting into it. Lots of little things and with the fun and the issues I had yesterday & today on my computer at work, I just felt it was best to be away. I have been looking, but not posting. I'll be back in a while. I am just busy at home & work so not much time to do much.

So hi and mad love to you all... I have a kind of busy weekend ahead so no matter, I doubt I'd be around much.

See y'all later :)

 Well, howdy-ho, SSB! Wow - that's some progress you've made since you had your surgery!! :) Hope you have a good weekend with your kids!

....Joisey [err,, ahh, *ahem*, "JERSEY"] people don't tawk like dat! Brooklyn folks do.....

Psssttt...... Tara - she lies! ;)

Nancy - I went back and checked and I actually have 4 bins of paper, then a storage box for the stickers and embellishments, a bag full of scissors...... And no motivation to get in there and scrap some more....

Boo - you need to have your hubby sign up for the "Lilboo Class 101 of Cutting Wit"!! You should do a Campus Crawl Tour with that class, you'd knock 'em dead....... (wait that would be my job with my club.....)

Oooooohhhhhh, my 600 thread sheets came on Monday - and let me tell you, with our new 3 inch Memory Foam Mattress Topper - I am sleeping on :cloud9:!!

Okay - I'm dashing out again - it is my turn for the lunchtime Crusade To Save The World - I believe Liz has the dinner crowd and then Elaine takes over the 8:00-10:00 shift.

SSB...so glad your recovery is going so well.

Elaine....hope everything settles down soon.

Pam....I love the memory foam mattress pad ::yes::

I love stickers....that is my passion. I have loads of them.
But I do have a lot of scissors now with the addition of the rotating stand of them :)
I saw that Costco also has the big packs of paper punches.....think I need to go back and see if they still have them.

I keep forgetting (old age ;) ) to share our "ran into a celebrity" story :teeth:
Christin's last day of work at Penney's.....Geoff and M'Cori had just arrived and we went up there to take advantage of her discount. We were looking at Christmas decorations. Geoff was admiring an ice cube snowman.
Well, a lady reaches past to grab a nutcracker. We start talking about decorations and such. Her son was with her (standing by Christin).
Later at lunch...Geoff says "That guy looked so familiar. He looks like someone in a movie, but I can't place who".
Christin calls later and says as soon as she went by people they were all telling her that was Chad Lindberg. Okay....I didn't know the name ;) Christin thought his voice sounded familiar. M'Cori never noticed him. We were too busy talking to his mother.
He lives in Mount Vernon and goes into the store quite often.
Anyway....that is my exciting life. :rotfl:

Hi Kids!

Another busy day at work for me. In the office at 7:30 again. Yuck.

My sister's mother-in-law passed away today. For the past month and a half, the doctor's kept on saying she'd go any day now, and she just kept breathing--that fiery lady! She was 93 years old, was down to about 80 pounds, and living on a spoonful of custard a day the past couple of months. I feel bad for my niece and nephew, losing both their grandmothers just a year apart.

Rose Mary, sorry about your cousin. I'll say some prayers for your family, especially your mom.

Karen, you are the crockpot queen! Take care of yourself and that rib (hmm...maybe you should make ribs in your crockpot for dinner tonight).

Nancy, I love stickers for my scrapbook, too. I can't pass a rack of stickers without looking at them.

Pam, enjoy your own heavenly bed there! I need a new mattress one of these days, but I'm holding off getting one until I'm living someplace else.

Sideshow Bob, glad to hear you are on the mend. Enjoy your kids this weekend. Don't over do it!

Elaine, sorry you are in a funk. Hang in there

Caroline, good luck with your yaya diet.

Hi Tara, Kimmar, Sherry, and Deena! Sounds like the name of a Oldies singing group. The Yayaettes.

JellyrollsKaren
