Oh huh! :rockband:
"At me" or "with me" ??

But WITH you of course....*wink* *wink*

Yes a funny bunch of YaYa's here!!

Tara, I think I was under the same rock you were. Only got out of my jammies long enough to go to the grocery store, then quickly got back in them......and am thinking it may be time to get out of them now!!! :earseek:

Suzanne, while you are picking up a topper for Nancy, can you get me one too? Kinda funny thing here, if ya buy for one, you really ought to buy for us all  Did you get the Valenitne's one at your store...or do I need to send you a few? Oh, and if Nancy gets to ride ToT...then I want to ride it too!!

Nancy, your Valentine topper is packed and ready to go. You should get it sometime later in the week! Can't wiat to see the dress that ole Pammy whips up fur ya!! Should be real interesting!!!

Pammy, so good to see you!!! Always a pleasure hearing what is going on in your neck of the woods. Made oxtail soup last night and thought of you! Can't imagine why!!! The soup was quite yummy!!

Caroline, your ferrets do sound quite cute.....although I am not a huge fan of rodents.......don't think I have ever seen one up close. They are cute from a distance though. And the pic you have of your one does tell me I might want to see one a little closer. And I hear they can be litter trained. Do yours have run of the house (would you even want to do that with them?) or do they have a cage? I know they are pretty expensive from what I have seen in the papers. And it certainly seems like lots of people have them. They do sound quite entertaining!!

Lianey, WELCOME HOME!! Sorry your trip was not quite as relaxing as you had wished. Maybe you can get a little rested today!!!

Karen, glad to hear you are feeling better! Hopefully your pain will lessen and you can get back to life as you know it. Not a great way to start out the year. But if you can get all the bad stuff out of the way now.......may the rest of your year be better~

Lily, when are you off to the World again? All ready for the big 1/2 marathon! I so wish I could be there to cheer you on!! Know that you have a great big group here :cheer2: :cheer2: you on your way!!

With all this snerking and snorking going on, I am finding myself :rotfl:

Gonna have to cut this short as I have to get ready for All Shook Up! It is going to be great fun to see that again!!! But with Bethie far, far away....I find myself so unmotivated to play!!!!

OK :grouphug: and Happy New Year Wishes to all!! Will be checking back tomorrow!!!!

Mad, mad, mad love to you one and all!!

Hey Pam......thanks to you I gotta new tag!!!!!

And to think.....they took the best one away to replace it with!!!

JRKaren, I still wanna be just like you!!!! :earboy2:

"At me" or "with me" ??

Ummmmm, Kimmy .... what Liz said.... wink, wink, nudge, nudge!! puckerup:

Liz - yeah, sure... blame it *ALL* on me... Picklewoman.....

Hey everyone!!!

Welcome Home Lainey!!! Ketchup when you can. Im sorry this weekend wasnt as relaxing as you wanted it to be. I love love love the picture of you and Luis that John posted. What an absolutely wonderful picture of both of you.

Ya'll are too funny.

Lily when is the half marathon?? I wish I could be there to cheer you on but you know I will be there in spirit.

I am one whipped and hurting puppy. Church was just a bit too much and I didn't take the pain meds because I didnt want to appear messed up. So I sucked it up, tried not to cough at all....because it sounds so bad and it hurt too much to do so....and did what needed to be done. I was there from about 9-1 and that was just too much. I came home, ate, took the pain meds, and layed down for a bit. Im still feeling tired and very groggy. LOL work should be interesting tomorrow on pain meds. I may be drooling at my desk.

Ya know what though. Something I want ya all to know. Im NOT having a bad New Year even with all this stuff. It is a GREAT New Year because IM HOME. Im NOT in the hospital as I was last year. Im home with my family. Yep some interesting things happened but it could have been oh so much worse than it was. Its a blip in life that will be soon over. I could physically hug my family, I could toast in the New Year phsicially with them, I can tell them how much I love them and how much they mean to me with them looking me in the face. THATS a great New Year to me!!!!

I guess the tag fairy must have thought that it was too much for you to aspire to to be just like me. But you can keep working on it. I get better with age, so it's like a never ending cycle to try to be like me, Liz.

Welcome home, Elaine!

Karen, you stay in bed now. You hear me.

That's all for now.

JellyrollsKaren

Do yours have run of the house (would you even want to do that with them?) or do they have a cage?
I was wondering the same thing, Liz. :)

Ummmmm, Kimmy .... what Liz said....
Yeah, that's what I figured. ;)

So I was thinking.... Pammy, as the lead singer of the merry weirdo band will you be making costumes for us after you... ahem... assemble Nancy's gown for the wedding?

Why is Liz a Picklewoman? ...and most importantly, will the stage costume that Pam will hopefully create for her reflect this new identity?

Karen, you are right. Being with your guys is a wonderful way to start the new year! You have a wonderful outlook! I'm leaving a hug here for you! Get some rest tonight and no desk drooling tomorrow. ;)

I've been lounging in my jungle room... I feel so wild and exotic. Yet more snorks...

Hi Honey I'm home!!

Just a quick stop before we run out for a bit to eat and then to look at the lights down on the beach.

First...Pam you must have been traveling with the old jolly elf again and saw that poor boy stuck to my bed post!! I finally released him...after I had seen his picture on the side of hte milk carton!! hehehe He was kinda young ;)

Second...there were no damn light up fish! and I'm mad. They just had science type stuff telling you about the fish! I wanted to see some fish darn't! I didn't want to see no stinken science thingy!!! Our aquarium is working on becoming a better bigger one and so they don't have lots of fish. It was until recently called a Marince Science Museum. but they are beginning to add new aquarium stuff. Oh well! The sharks were pretty.

Okay gotta run and get some grub. I'll be back later to see who has us in trouble again!!

hugs,

:wave2:

Been bumming all day watching movies............thought I'd say a quick hi!

:moped:

Fell asleep for a while as I was "watching" some TV. The weekend....

We showed up Thursday night after shopping for some food in Lancaster. I have to tell ya, where we were would make Pammysweetie feel at home... Luis and even me in my cute little black leather jacket, looked a wee bit out of place ;) But we got to the cabin and everyone was there. We started making pizzas for dinner and just sat around and talked & played cards most of the night. I honestly cannot remember if we watched any movies or not that night, but over the course of the weekend, we watched Spiderman 1 & 2 and the LOTR trilogy as well as Monsters Inc. My laptop was used to play Barney movies for the kids.

Only 2 of the three kids came (with colds ;)) and really I do admit, that it made for some moments during the weekend where I wish I could hide away. Dawn and Mark got the main bedroom (due to the dogs), the couple with the kids got the freezing cold basement downstairs, we got the blazing hot loft bedroom, and the other two guys slept on the couch & futon. So we had some privacy, but not a heck of a lot.

One of the girls wound up hitting the dog in the face, and so the dog snipped back. The girl is okay, and they were fine (the two of them) by the end of the weekend, but there was a lot of blood (as she bit her lip) so as Mark and I helped clean it up, Luis said he nearly passed out. Apparently the sight of dogs biting with the blood was almost too much for him. The only other real bad thing, was when someone forgot to bolt the doors and the girls (just shy of 2 and 3 years old) got out and wandered on their own. So save the typical baby/toddler things (crying, breaking things... blah blah blah) they didn't get in the way *too* much. Okay, that's a lie. Not to say I didn't have fun, but I would equate it to a weekend with family. Good times, but not something I willingly put myself through *that* much ;)

I'd love to make waaaay more comments about things like Kimmie and her jungle room :p, Pam & Liz about Liz's new tag, and Tara hating science, but Luis just brought us Wendy's so I should go. See y'all later :)

Just up making dinner. Im making porkchops wine and mushrooms. Its the first time I have made it in the electric fry pan thingy that was my mothers....shows you how old it is....so Im hoping it comes out good. Smells good. Dh will make the other stuff for din din closer to the time the PC's will be ready. I normally make it in the crockpot, set it up in the morning and let it cook all day but I flaked this morning and forgot to.

Kimmie when are we going to see pictures of your jungle room?? I am very serious. I would love to see pictures. It just sounds so neat!!

Tara Im sorry there were no light up fishes and just science stuff. It's hard when you go expecting one thing and you get something totally different.

Wow Elaine that sounds like some weekend. I bet youre glad you are home and resting. You need some rest after all that! Poor Luis and almost fainting. That happens a lot with guys and blood. When I used to draw blood in the office I had to make the men lay down because a lot of them would almost pass out on me when I sat them up to do bloodwork.

Karen I have been on the couch most of the afternoon resting and relaxing. I had to get up to make dinner because dh doesnt know how to make it this way....heck Im even guessing ROFL. After dinner I will go lay down again and dh will do the clean up.

Hi Sherry!!! How is your day going??

Time for a little ketchup action while Scott puts the groceries away. Fortunately for me, I'm terrible at organizing things in the fridge and freezer so I don't get to participate anymore. :teeth: After that, it's time for tacos! (we need a drooling smiley or something .. heehee).

Karen, hope things went well with the new church leader. Yes, the buttered mashed potatoes candle really does smell like potatoes. And it makes me hungry every time I use it, so I try not to get it out too often. It's sooo yummy smelling, though! Now go back to bed, young lady! lol You need to get better! :)

Lily, sorry the doggies had you up so early.

JRKaren, there was definitely chatting in here last night. We didn't end up needing the bail money though, so it was all right. ;)

Pam, the story about the frozen duck pond is hilarious. That's totally something I would do. Too funny.

Nancy, hope your back is feeling better.

Tara, lounging around sounds great! That stinks about the light up fish. I was looking forward to hearing about them. How stupid that they would have the stuff describing them but no fish .. it's an aquarium. Do you think people might *expect* to see fish?

Kimmie, I definitely think you should be getting un-birthday presents. And cake too. :cake: And Tarzan (to go with your jungle room).

Welcome home, Elaine! Sorry your weekend wasn't more relaxing, though. Hope you found some time to unwind today.

Liz, you're in luck because ferrets actually aren't rodents, they're mustelids (that's the weasel/otter/badger family). I've heard of people who feed their guys rodents, in fact, so maybe you'd get along with ferrets better than you think! Our two are litter trained - actually, they kind of litter train themselves as it's a mustelid trait (weasels and otters and such always 'go' in the same place near their homes apparently). They have a big cage that they live in most of the time. It's about 5 feet tall, by 3 feet by 2 feet, with ramps and hammocks and their litter box and fod and stuff. When we let them out to play they wear collars with bells so we can keep track of them (they can get into everything!). I know some people who let them have free run but it's a lot of work to keep everything ferret-proof, and I'd be devastated if something happened to them because I forgot to close a door or something. Hope you have fun seeing All Shook Up. It sounds really good. :)

Hi Sherry. What movies did you watch?

There's a lot of snerking in here today .. snorking too. Scott keeps looking at me funny because I keep laughing.

Ok .. time for tacos! Nature's perfect food (after peanut butter and chocolate). :earboy2:

Talk to ya later.

Bummer. Both drive ins are showing Lemony Snicket and Fat Albert, and no one's got Incredibles this late. Only thing I can take the kids to is Polar Express at 8:20. Darn!

We had a nice costco run...happily bought big packages of meat with plans to foodsaver them and the asparagus. I need to get a beer cheese soup recipe to make some tomorrow.

The neighbors from up north emailed. We really miss them, and no one on the block is talking to them-which is what happened to us before these neighbors got there. Apparently, you're a social pariah in that neighborhood if both parents work  .

Off to figure out if we're gonna do the movie thing.

Suzanne

Caroline things went really well for a first run with the new leader. He is very energetic and very different from our last leader so it will take some time to get used to the new ways of doing things. Our last leader was very good just more reserved and we had to be stricter with the kids. I think the kids did get a lot out of today even if we did have a few glitches. I'm gonna go back to bed after dinner is over. Im just sitting here smelling the food cooking, drooling, and getting more and more hungry by the minute LOL. I hope it tastes as good as it smells. LOL about the groceries. Dh always leaves that all up to me because he can't figure out where non refrigerated/frozen things go to save his soul. We have only lived in this house since 1986 ROFL!!! He can put things in the fridge and freezer but doesnt pack it or put it the way I would so he leaves it for me to do.

Hi Ya Yas!
It's good to have you back home Elaine. Sounds like a wee bit of a "different" weekend. Glad you all managed to make it work.

Karen, sounds like a lot of time spent at church. I hope that doesn't cause you to be set back any. I am thinking you nee someone to leash you so you don't go off running around so as you are trying to recover.
Suzanne, sorry about your movie choices. Hope you figure out something.

Caroline, I love tacos. Yup I agree after peanut butter and chocolate and salt -- preferably in the form of Reese's Peanutbutter Cups.

Liz, yup, I gues I am as ready as I will ever be for the 1/2. It takes place next Sunday. I made my first iron on transfer t shirt for it. I think it came out pretty good.

Beth, I was looking to ask you a bit of advice as you seem to be the resident expert on t-shirt transfers. Hope to get a PM to you.

Everyone, I am tired. Trying to psych myself out of being sick. Was supposed to go to the service for my boss' FIL and did not go. Slept and tried to feel better. Tea with lemon and honey and all. I am hoping to call it an early night. I have all my things washed and ready to pack. Very tired and I have been resting. I hope I am not contagious as I must go to work tomorrow or lose holiday pay.

Being a bit pathetic with my replies, but I think I am now just going to sign off and go to bed with my book...

gotta say I am, more than ever, looking forward to the cruise and relaxation at the end of the month. Have a great night all!

Lily I will say tons and tons of prayers that you are not getting sick. You don't need that right now. Hopefully you are just feeling run down from the holidays. HUGS sweetie try to get some good rest.

Sending good health vibes Lily! :cheer2:

Hey Lainey! Huh-you're going on a CRUISE? Lucky!

OK...I am snerking myself over y'all!:p:p Don't let Pam snerk and snort over you---she's got snorters the size of QUARTERS! :earseek:

:moped:
