The ferrets definitely do neat stuff. Even when their 'neat stuff' is 'bad stuff', it's so hard to try to punish them because they're soooo cute! Little devils. ;)

Angel sounds adorable. One thing the ferrets don't do well is snuggle - they're just too squirmy. Has he outgrown his 'puppy' stage yet? We had a miniature schnauzer when I was little, who was a sweet dog but chewed everything for the first year or so!

I have to say, I laughed out loud when you said Snuggles will bite you if you pick her up. Just too ironic. I guess when you get to 18 as a cat, you pretty much want things your own way. ;)

If I had my way, that OT money would definitely be headed for a new WDW trip. I've got AP's burning a hole in my pocket! lol I guess we'll see how things work out .. so far I'm eyeing a trip in May, but that's still in the very early stages.

Thankfully Angel never was a chewer. We had a heck of a time house training him but that was the only real tough point with him besides figuring out how to finally get him to eat dry food. He is very very picky and I am a worry wort about him not eating sooooooo that took awhile and several different foods before someone finally made me come to my senses about not getting so hyper about him not eating for a day because he was being picky. Now he eats what we put down for him. He is snacking as we speak in fact.

Psycho my BIL's ferret would lay on him and let him stroke him but ONLY as long as he wanted it then he would squirm away.

I bet it is hard to punish them when they do bad things. They are just too cute. Im kinda the same way with Angel. He just gives me that DUH WHAT DID I DO????? Look and I end up laughing at him.

Snuggles is very much a woman of her own and you know with her where you stand. She dictates what you can and can't do and what she will tolerate. She is the Grand Dame of the house.

May is a WONDERFUL time to come down here!!! If you have AP's then you just have to you see because then you will be getting your moneys worth from them. Is it working yet??? hehehehehehehehehehehe. I know I am a very bad influence.

I have my Lavender candle burning. Dh said he thought that would be the least liked thing that he bought me that day but I have been burning it off and on all evening. I just love it so much. It's such a relaxing scent and it scents the whole room without being overwhelming. He was so pleased that I really really liked it.

Heehee .. I can understand about worrying about what pets are eating. I'm a self-confessed 'nervous mother' about them. It's Orson's doing (he was my 2nd ferret .. he died last year), he was always having some health catastrophy or another, so whenever his appetite dipped, I worried. Same goes for my new guys (although they're not that new anymore .. heh), even though they don't get sick like he did.

Pistachio and Angel must have taken the same course in innocent looks. Pistachio is a master of the "What? Oh, that? That wasn't me" look. Soda is just better at not getting caught.

A lavender candle sounds really nice. And it's so nice that your DH got it for you. When we were in B&BW in December, I was waiting in the check out line and Scott came up to me with a candle and just added it to my stack of stuff without saying anything other than "We should get this". Turned out to be a Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream candle. Smells amazing! I go back to waiting and when I'm next in line, he comes up with another one, this time open for me to smell. *Buttered Mashed Potatoes*!!! We got that one too. :teeth:

I told him about your 'encouragment' for May. He laughed and said "Yes, she is a very bad influence!" :rotfl: (He was kidding, btw. I know he'd like to go in May, too).

Speaking of bad influences, though, I'm being one by keeping you up chatting. You should try to get some more sleep so you can get all healed up. :)

edit to add: ok, I think she went. Hope you get some good zzz's Karen. :)

Morning Ya Yas!

Dogs got me up and at 'em early today.

Looks like we had som chatty folks over night.

I did go back to sleep for about an hour and a half. That candle made me very sleepy. Must be the lavender in it that relaxes me. I blew it out and layed down for a bit and was out again.

I'm up now because we need to get ready for church. I'm only doing Kidz Church today. I made that very clear to the director. I still don't want to do the meet and greet shaking of hands thing with a lot of people and they do that in regular church. Just gonna mose along in Kidz Church, do what needs to get done and come home. this is the first day for our new Kidz Church Leader and I really don't want to miss it. Should be very interesting since he is very very different from our last leader who was very strict.

Caroline the candles you got sound so neat. I would like Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. Does the potato one really smell like buttered mashed potaoes?? I think that one would make me hungry LOL!!! We have a tree down here called the Mallalucca that smells like boiled potatoes when it blooms. They have pulled down tons of them though because so many people are so highly allergic to them. Thankfully it doesn't bother me. Pepper palms are another story though.

Morning Lily. Im so sorry the doggies got you up so early. Whatcha got planned for today?

Good morning everyone! Lily's right! There sure were some chatty Yaya's here last night. I'm not even going to attempt to catch up since my last post.

But I will say Happy Anniversary to Beth and Dave, and Happy Fake Birthday to Kimmie!

I have to get ready for church soon. Between my trip, getting sick, and working so much OT I had no energy one weekend, I haven't gone to church (other than Christmas) since Thanksgiving weekend. That's not like me. So I'm going to the 7:30 mass at my church today.

Well, that will do it for now. Talk to you later.

JellyrollsKaren

Morning JRKaren!!! Hope you had a wonderful New Years at your sisters.

Pammy, I'm comin' to join ya at the Senior Center! Save a chair for me at bingo!

Great  Boo - want's to the young and sexy one - she NEVER lets me have my moment in the spotlight...... It's always all about her, her, her.... She'll sashay in the Center and grab all of my men away with her little Daisy Duke shorts. She do that high-pitched giggle of hers and toss back her mane of hair and then proceed to completely win them ove by taking their bingo winnings and sticking all of the dimes up her nose...... :guilty: I'll never fit in now - I will have to go find some new Seniors to hang out with. :crying:

JRKaren - we are missing Church this morning. Our pastor is away and there's a sub and it's Communion Sunday, so we're skipping.

Gee - did we have to use any of our bail fund last night on Deena and Sherry???? :earseek: I'm glad they didn't know that I have 2 packs of wings in the fridge for dinner today........

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY BETH & DAVE!!! :flower1:

Ohhh and Boo, I can't speak for Beth - but the scent of my BenGay *AND* Vicks VapoRub drives my hubby wild..... :cool1: Well - that and a little dab of Buck Lure behind my ears.....

Suzanne - I admire you for picking up and moving!

Nancy - I could always whip you up a nice gown made out of roadkill hides..... :smooth:

Lily - if you were planning on doing Zoo Lights on the 30th, it's probably a good thing that you stayed at home. It was literally wall-to-wall people. They only had a few trams and they were just packed. So the rest of us walked and people would congregate with 2 or 3 strollers and take up the whole walkway while they stood there and gabbed. And you just got pushed and shoved trying to look at the animals.......

Funny story though...... at the duck pond there was no one around, including no ducks..... we walked over to the railing, mainly to get away from the crowd and I told the kids that if we hung over the railing and started pointing and yelling, "Get a picture of that, get a picture of that" , a bunch of folks would dash over and push us out of the way to see what was going on. Well, they didn't believe me, so I did it and yep - we were soon shoved out of there - and people were pulling their cameras out and taking pics of a snow-covered pond and scratching their heads and wondering just what it was they were supposed to be viewing. The kids thought it was hilarious!! :)

Karen - don't overdo it today. I got DD a lilac candle and also a stargazer lily one.

We are supposed to take our tree down either today or tomorrow, before DD heads back to college. DS returns to HS tomorrow.

Nancy, got your PM. I have to wait for my new passes to show up to go back over to WDW, but I can go pick up that ToT topper in two or three weeks. I'll gladly ride ToT for ya, too-no one else in my family likes it (wimps)

:hyper: Thank you, Suzanne!! I would love that topper....and a ride too ;)
I rode by myself at DL (DH doesn't like it :( ).....4 times in 45 minutes! It was great!

Pam sews too!! Ummm.....I don't like dyed skins Pam, sorry. Guess I will have to pass on your offer. They just don't come in a color I like ;)

Cleaning today.....and my back hurts from all the lifting yesterday :(
Oh well, I need to do it.

Sherry, I haven't gotten to watch AMC since before Christmas. What have I missed? Did Bianca get Miranda back?
Tomorrrow I will be back on schedule. ;)

Jeannie, I would love to see a picture of your mother's dress(es) 2!!

Have a good day, everyone.

Nancy,
Nope, I don't sew. Just handy with staple and hot glue guns!! :rotfl:

And - the color would be the natural fur color - I'm thinking of something on the order of Joseph's coat of many colors - a little skunk, some raccoon, a couple of possums, lots of deer hide, maybe a squished fox, touch of coyote, and trimmed in beaver fur. What do you think?? I know, I know - you absolutely loooooove me idea, don't you??

Good morning gang!!

Wow! 3 pages overnight. I'm impressed. I'm sure you all are wondering why I wasn't around yesterday? pause while everyone nods their heads in agreement

You are probably thinking I had some big plans to take in the sights of the town, or to go visit all those people who live in town that I never see, or maybe I was out chasing some young dude! Welp! You would be wrong! I didn't even get dressed yesterday! I moved carpet squares, cleaned the play room, and lounged around like a rock! I did check in and read but didn't have the energy to even reply!

Anyway, glad Karen is feeling better, Happy UNBirthday to Kimmie, Happy Anniversary to Beth and Dave, glad the house has a roof Suzanne, Caroline your ferrets sound cute, Lily don't mention that you go for wings sometimes...Deena and Sherry were jonesing for some wings last night, JRKaren have fun in church today, and Pam remind me to call you when I get married hehehe, I'm sure I would look divine in your dress of many furs! (where's the smiley tossing his cookies)

Okay, I'm going to get ready to take Jarrod to the Marine Science museum. It is the last day for the light up fish. So hopefully we will have a good time.

Hasta la vista folks!

You got a deal. I'll meet you by the bushes in your crazy neighbors yard and will throw the bones in her yard and TP her sad shrubs.
Snerk snerk!! :rotfl: Sad shrubs... okay I think I've had too much coffee... sad shrubs makes me giggle... snicker!

Hi Tara! Light up fish? Cool!

Thank you all for the Un-birthday wishes!! I've decided that my unbirthday undoes the "damage" done by my real birthday, therefore... since I've had an unbirthday for...what... two years now, I'm thinking I must be at least two years younger than my driver's license states. Which means... I'm really only... oh... so let's say 20? After all, Boo said I'm not legal yet!! Wink wink. ...I also like Nancy's idea! Presents for both birthdays! Must talk to hubby about that! He's behind by two presents!

Nancy, be good to that back! Take it easy today if you can. :)

Karen, did you get some sleep last night?

I love hearing about your ferrets, Caroline! They sound like such charmers!

Happy New Year to Loubon! :cheer2:

Duck pond psych out.... :earboy2: Crowds! Oye! They make me crazy!

Ah... sleeping under the stars Suzanne! Sounds romantic!! :p As for the birthday/free drink gag... I would get SO busted! Funny how some people seem to be able to pull that sort've thing off. I would have such a monumental "I'm a liar liar, plants for hire" guilty look on my face, they'd lock me up in some deep dark dungeon and what's worse would probably lock me up with no pictures of Viggo or Apolo!! Can you imagine the horror?! :scared:

LOL...okay, well, if you do it, we'll see. Send it over by mid March, so we can check for alterations :)

Kimmie...I like the idea of an un-birthday subtracting some age ::yes:: I think I need an un-birthday too.
The Yaya birthday list is all back together.....mostly ;) So, if anyone needs a copy for this new year, send me a PM and it will be on it's way. I think we have 5 Jan. birthdays!!

Back is still sore, but no taking it easy today.....must get this mess cleaned up or I will be a super grump!!

I'm sure you all are wondering why I wasn't around yesterday? pause while everyone nods their heads in agreement

"Why, oh why wasn't Tara around yesterday???" :confused3
Pam rushes around the YaYa Club Med beating her chest in her best Irish keening form..... wail, sob, screech, moan.....

maybe I was out chasing some young dude! Welp! You would be wrong! I didn't even get dressed yesterday!

GULP!!! Ye gads!! :scared1: Tara's been at it again...... she drove to the Recruiting Offices, kidnapped a young dude, took him off and handcuffed him to her bedframe!! :faint: Who was in charge of watching Tara this weekend?????

Nancy - can ya wait until mid April for the dress? We've still got tons of prime roadkill season back here....... ;)

Kimmy - I'm snerking and snorting right with ya, babeeeee! :)

Hi honeys, I'm home!!!

No catch up here as of yet, but I am home & tired as all get out. Weekend was okay... not that I am upset with anyone, but it wasn't very relaxing at all... I could've used that I think.

I'll be back in a while to read what y'all were up to this week! :wave2:

Just a drive by, I was up late and didn't keep Karen and Caroline busy!

The menfolk let me sleep til NOON! Woohoo! We have to go pick up some prescriptions before Target closes, though, so I have to get out of the jammies and get going.

Ketchup later...Nancy, I can send Piglet, Christmas Stitch and Stitch...any others? The other one will get sent as soon as I go back, probably three weeks.

Suzanne

If y'all think I am going to do a full ketchup now, you're nuts ;) However, I did just read through everything...

Loved all the pics (even John's) Looks like some great times were had by many over the holidays (and in Indy). The bridal party is going to look wonderful as well as the bride!!! Happy Anniversary (a bit late) to Dave & Beth and as for the rest of y'all

:rotfl:

Y'all crack me up :teeth:
