Evening, yayas!

Got through a quick day at work, lots of moving stuff around and putting out the most adorable valentine's stuff. Woohoo! I'm eyeing a vase that my antenna toppers can go in, they're running over the cobalt bottles. It's got Pooh and Eeyore on it. There's a DIS Green topper now, too, although I think the intention was that it is part of the Spring assortment, lol!

Finally got to watch my copy of Princess Diaries 2. It was cute. Now, if I could only get through all the other movies piled up. Ed just popped in the Mickey Mouse Club DVD.

Lily, When Harry Met Sally is one of my alltime favorites-I can probably recite the whole movie verbatum. I even used a line today "Harry, you're going to have to move to New Jersey, because you've slept with everyone in New York and I don't see that turning Helen into a distant memory"...made my friend laugh (she really needed it, too).

Nancy, got your PM. I have to wait for my new passes to show up to go back over to WDW, but I can go pick up that ToT topper in two or three weeks. I'll gladly ride ToT for ya, too-no one else in my family likes it (wimps!).

Liz, last night we were outside watching the neighbors shooting off fireworks and enjoying our lovely beverages and commenting that last New Year's we said 2004 was the year to make the move. We did it-really took 18 months from the decision to setting foot in the Sunshine State for good. I've got no regrets-wish Ed had a job, but hey, that will come. (Plus there may be a silver lining in that, too). It turned out to be positive in so many ways and I can't believe he didn't talk me into it years ago. Come visit me and you can see for yourself what it's like away from WDW and you'll still want to move.

Speaking of visiting, my house HAS A ROOF! I called my mom to share the good news that the crane came and went very quickly yesterday morning and she said we should get the sleeping bags and sleep under our roof last night, lol! Now, if only I wasn't such a picture posting spaz...you could see the progress, lol!

Caroline, hope your New Year's night goes well. I remember my gas station days and the one coworker trying to call out so that Ed or I would cover her shift (back when he was just a good friend)-we were smart and didn't answer our phones!

Deena, sounds like your new year's was similar to ours...we did make it past midnight, though.

Bethie and Dave-HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to the nicest couple in Virginia! Hope the day was extra special.

Kimmy, sounds like you're taking a page out of my younger sister's book. She and a friend went to Cancun for vacation, and each night, she or the friend would celebrate their birthday! Free drinks EVERY night. If I ever tried something like that, I know I'd have been asked for proof, lol!

Karen, please take it easy. Is there someplace you can sleep sitting up? That will help minimize that coughing and help you heal quicker.

Off to get some sleep. I think we're headed to the zoo in the morning, and get some use out of that membership!

Suzanne

Hi Suzanne! :) I'm not sure what perversity of our shift rotation it is that always lands me working on New Year's. I don't mind though - it's just weird. The weather's really quiet across my forecast area too, so I'm almost done although I still have to stay until 7.

Sherry, AMC is good. I used to watch that all the time when I was in middle school and high school (a friend of mine and I were total junkies .. I watched One Life to Live too). I stopped watching through university and now when I try to watch every now and then, I can't figure out who's who or what's going on. lol

I've been watching AMC since like jr. high. :teeth: Its been really good lately, but it would be hard to figure out what is going on if you haven't watched in awhile.

Im gonna write a complaint letter and dog nabbit I better get some free Wings for my distress!!

You got a deal. I'll meet you by the bushes in your crazy neighbors yard and will throw the bones in her yard and TP her sad shrubs.

:scratchin Im sure we could get into some good trouble in the wee hours of the morning.

Well my back hurts and butt has become flat from this chair so Im off to bed.
Nighty nite Sherry!

Oh, I'm sure we could get into all kinds of trouble.

Hope your back feels better. I'm gonna head to bed after AMC.

Nitey Nite!

Wow, things got a little wild in here after I left! Good thing you crazy kids headed to bed. I don't want to have to be wiring bail money! :teeth:

Sleep well.

Im up Caroline. The Prednisone makes me sleepless and the pain pills arent really killing the pain all that well. Im not miserable I just cant sleep. Was kinda looking for someone to talk to. How is work going?

Aww, sorry the pain pills aren't working so well. :(

Work's going ok. Very quiet tonight. I don't mind the odd quiet shift, but this is the 3rd in a row, and quiet is not a good thing on the overnights. zzzzzzzzz. lol

Anything good on tv for you?

Just watching the Wings Channel. It's kinda like the History Channel but all about aircraft. I thought it would bore me enough to put me back to sleep. Im sorry work is so quiet for you. That must be so hard to have three in a row like that. LOL here I am wide awake and nothing to do and you are at work tired and wanting to sleep. We should switch places!

Planning anything fun with your OT money??

I would love to hear about your Ferrets. My BIL had one called Psycho. That little bugger was so cute but got into so much trouble for stealing stuff etc..... He was such a sweetie.

Haha .. I have to say the Wings Channel sounds like it might put me to sleep too! We used to have a channel here that was local real estate listings. That was great for sleepless nights. One benefit of overnights is I sleep really soundly the day after. There are some people I work with who can't manage to sleep during the day at all. I can't understand how they can do this job.

No plans for the OT money yet. My husband actually works at the same place as me, and generally the same shifts, so he's working tonight too. Double OT checks! :Pinkbounc I would like to say that they will go towards Disney, but they will probably go towards the trip we already took.

My rambling on about my ferrets should be enough to put you to sleep, lol! I can talk about them forever. Stealing stuff is kind of a ferret's specialty. My two right now are both 'stashers'. Pistachio (he's my avatar picture) has all these weird fetishes for things, and he gets upset if you move them around. If that stuffed gingerbread man isn't over by the window, watch out! One of my previous ferrets would actually get really really upset if I tried to get anything out of my pencil case (this was when I was in university). He'd always stuff it in the closet, so I'd go and retrieve it to get something, and he'd freak out and follow me, then try to climb up my legs to get it back. I'd usually just get whatever I needed out and let him take it back.
The other ferret we have now, Soda, is about half her brother's size but she's sooo pushy! She's acts like a little princess but I swear, she could climb up a glass wall. I should make a picture of her as my avatar sometime so they get equal play. ;)

You have a dog, right? (I hope this isn't a figment of my sleepy imagination). What breed is it?

Your babies sound just too cute for words!!! How neat they are and all the neat stuff they do.

Yup I have a dog...Angel....a boy...the kids named him. He is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and as not so bright as they come. He is oh so cute but not the brightest bulb on the Christmas Tree. He is snuggling my feet as we speak. He will be a year old on the 4th and we have had him since May. He is an absolute love though. Sweet sweet dog and good with the kids even though they tend to love him a little too much LOL. I so missed a dog after our other one died several years ago. He tends to sleep with me at night and I just love that. Its so calming when I wake just to reach over and give him little pets and I get sweet doggie kisses.

We also have a cat. She is 18. Her name is Sunggles but is the least snuggly cat you ever met. HATES to be picked up and will bite you if you try. She has become mainly an outside cat but does come in sometimes. She is very very loved on though because dh and I love to sit on the porch and pet her and pay attention to her. She loves my chair so much out there that I rarely get to sit in it because she is sleeping in it all the time LOL.

No No No you cant put the money towards the other trip you have to put it to a new one so I can come up and meet you!!! I only live three hours from Disney!!! I know Im a bad influence heheheheheheheheehe
