Hey. I've got an idea. How about a Mammoth Cave DISmeet??? ::yes::

I think I could talk Amanda into that...
It would seem closer to all of us to do a Hocking Hills meet...:D

Morning all!

Elaine, your just a wee bit predictable. :teeth:
Went to Target and Clay's CD was sold out. :( Gonna have to go out somewhere else and find it.

Good morning, kids! Happy Thursday!

Today is our annual Thanksgiving luncheon at work. We will have a full turkey dinner with all the trimmings. The spread is usually a lot better than any Thanksgiving meal I've ever gone to.

And today is the day that I will be going to mail in my DVC paper work. Just have a few more places to sign at the Mickey heads and date at the palm trees. Yay!

Sherry, good luck finding your Clay CD. I saw it at Border books yesterday :)

Suzanne, sorry for your mom's Verizon problems. I had them as my cell phone carrier for about two weeks at one point. I got such lousy reception I had to can them. I couldn't get a signal in my house (and I live in a small city just outside of Boston--not out in the sticks somewhere).

Dave, good to see you here :) I have very limited time available on Sunday and Monday, so I may not be able to meet with everyone those days (unless it's Monday night, or sometime Sunday at Epcot I could probably make it). It's going to be hard to get all of us together isn't it :(

Elaine, you dislike tacos? Those are one of my favorites. Yum.

Lily and Beth, you are going to take care of me? I don't know what you mean by that ;) I don't know if that's a good thing.

Liz, you are evil. Just had to say it publicly.

Have a great day, everyone!

JellyrollsKaren

Hi JRKaren! :wave2: Enjoy your T-day dinner. :)
Wish we had a Borders closer by. :(

Jonathan stayed home this morning. He has a tummy ache and a sore throat. :(

Morning all,

My eldest was in All County Honors Orchestra concert last night and we are all croaking this morning because we are so tired LOL. He did an awesome job and is looking forward to being in it next year even though he wont be in a regular strings program at school like he is now. We are doing private lessons and this teacher pulls from her private students and puts them in this orchestra. I really wish they would do this on Friday though instead of Wednesday night as it has been on for the past three years my son has done it. Its really difficult on the kids and parents having to get up the next day after such a long night the night before. I heard though it has to do with getting the venue that they use.

Karen have fun at your TDay dinner today. Glad to hear everything is progressing well with DVC.

Suzanne Im so sorry to hear your leg is still acting up. Im saying prayers that you will be able to get your surgery very soon. I guess all cellphone companies are the same. This is the first bill in six months that AT&T has gotten right for me. I was shocked when I got the bill and it was correct LOL!!

Sherry Im sorry to hear that Johnathan is sick and that you also couldnt get your CD. Hope Johnathan feels better very soon.

Welp I guess I better get back to work....not that I have anything to do but I need to look busy LOL!!

Morning Ya Yas!

Whatever day you pick for our mini meet I will plan to show up. Where is Cosmic Rays?

JRKaren, Oh you know you will have fun! :) We won't hurt ya.
Have a great luncheon. Sounds yummy. Happy signing.

Sherry, hope all goes ok with your younster and that this is not a pass it around thing.

Karen, what a great honor to be picked to play. I am sure you are proud even though tired. I'm with Suzanne on the no more doggie bath thing. The kids will just have to learn to deal with this one.

Todd, a Hocking Hills meet...I am guessing that it will be near some sort of non-tent place. It is beautiful both cave and hills. Might be fun.

Suzanne, sorry about your Mom's phone prob. We have Verizon here and have not had any problems. DH uses Nextel as it is his work contract and even they cannot all communicate depending on where they all are. Guess there is no one perfect system.
Hope you don't suffer too much with that leg.

Nancy, thanks for the cookie recipe. They sound yummy.

Liz, congrats on your loss of poundage there! You are really working on this. Great news.

Elaine, sounds like you are sticking to your plan too.

I struggle. For me it is a job and one I really don't enjoy at the moment.

Hi all... been hiding out... probably will be a bit quiet for a while. Just lots to deal with up in that flakey brain of mine ;)

Meets at WDW are fine by me. We have no plans and I figured we all would try to meet up sometime. I was kind of hoping that someone who won't be there as long as we are, would have an iea of what they would like to do. Or we can just say, hey let's meet up at a certain place at a certain time. No big deal either way to me.

Oh and Ohio meets... Hocking Hills is always good for me... not sure how far that is for everyone else (it's w/in an hour drive for me)

I'm skipping tons I know, but sorry for that.

Hi YaYas... Forgive me for jumping in without a ketchup, but wanted to swing in and say "hey". Life has been a little crazy here. Mom had her surgery on the 22nd of October. Came home a week later, then went a few rounds with pneumonia. A week in the hospital with the pneumonia, a few days home and it was back again last Thursday. Kidney failure. Sigh. She's back home now, and seemingly on the road to recovery but a very slow and winding road it is.

I hope everyone is happy, healthy and having a good time getting ready for trips and holiday preps.

Elaine... I'm thinking of you. A very big hug to you my friend. :)

Do any of the ladies out there (Well, Todd, John and Alan, if you can answer this too.....go for it...:earseek: ) but does anybody love the feeling of freshly shaved legs and clean sheets? Do you look forward to the day you wash your sheets and shave your legs to make sure you get that wonderful feeling? I am asking for a reason of course....just want a certain YaYa to know it is not just a me thing!!!

See, I told ya Bethie!!!

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

:wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

LIZ!! What?? A woman is supposed to shave her legs??? But, but - the extra hair keeps me so warm and toasty on the roadkill line....:o

Kim - Hello!! I missed you, my dear old friend!! Wow - you and your Mom have really been through it, haven't you?:( I hope she starts to feel better soon. How's Viggo? And your dogs? And DS's school situation??

Elaine - :lovestruc

Nancy - I am just about done Christmas shopping!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: I have packages and bags stuffed everywhere...

DS just called from school - he was upset because he walked into one class 5 seconds after the bell and he now has a detention to serve. This is the History teacher who threatened to flunk DD 3 years ago even though she had a 98% in the class because we got stuck in Vail during 9/11 and couldn't get home and he spouted that you are only allowed to miss 8 days a semester and she used up 5 because of the flights being cancelled. DS has had him for the last two years and this is the first dention he's ever had. I told him not to sweat it, just go and do the dention.

:wave2:

Went to the cemetery this morning. :( Today would've been my Dad's 60th birthday. :( I miss him so much. :(

Elaine, for you.

Hi Kimmy! Good to see you pop in. I've missed you. So sorry to hear about your mom. :( I hope she feels better soon.

:rotfl:, Liz. I like that feeling, too. Now if I would only shave my legs more, I could experience it more. :teeth:

 for you Sherry on this day when you especially feel the loss of your dad.

 for you Elaine. Cheer up. In just a few days you'll be at the Happiest Place on Earth with your honey.

Liz - I can't speak directly to the shaved legs thread, but I can say that after having my ankle in a cast for nearly 8 weeks, the feeling of a blanket on my leg was as close as I've ever been to heaven on earth.

Wow Pam that teacher sounds a little whacked. Can you talk to the principal about this and the occurance with your daughter??....just so that the principal knows this isnt a one time dealie with this teacher. Here you have to have so many tardies before you get in trouble....I forget just how many. That just seems so extreme for being five seconds late.

Okay Okay I promise no more doggie baths. Im kinda still paying for it and I had just gotten my back to where it didn't hurt a lot. Im not sure what the doctor did differently this time but it has worked wonders for my back and neck. I was like a new person. Slowly but surely the mess up from the other day is going away and I hope for a few weeks realitively pain free. I don't think the boys can handle the dog for a bath so it will be up to dh to give Angel his bath outside....which is where I should have done it so I could sit down and use the hose.

Hello, Ya Yas!! Another busy, but beautiful day here.

Kimmie!!!!!.........Beth runs over and gives her friend a huge
hug.gif
Glad you stopped in! I knew you were busy with your mom since her surgery and am very sorry to hear of the subsequent complications! Know that I'm keeping you all in my prayers for the strength and peace you need for whatever His will may be. I hope that she is resting easier and her further recovery proceeds quickly!

You're not flakey, Lainey! No more than any of the rest of us IMHO. Love ya!!!

So I guess somebody needs to "take charge" to get a Ya Ya meet going on that first weekend. All righty, then--Sunday, noon. There, it's set! Choices for where to meet: 1)Walt/Mickey statue in front of the castle at MK; 2)Cameraman statue at MGM at the end of Main Street before the big open area in front of the Sorcerer's Hat; or 3)Entrance to Ice Station Cool at Epcot. We can go shopping, go on rides, or go eat together--whatever we feel like at the time---from any one of those choices.

Deena, I agree and am trying to convince Dave he needs to organize another Prime Time meet for Thursday, 12/9!! That was sooooooooooo much fun!!! But "party of 73" was just a few too many...........

Nancy, have fun Christmas shopping!! I have to wait till Saturday...But one of my stops will be the BaB store :teeth: And that cookie recipe sounds really good, too!! You are SUCH a good influence!!!!

Sherry, sorry to hear that Jonathan isn't feeling well. Hope it's a 24 hour thing and not something that ends up running thru the family.

Lily, I hear ya on the poundage struggle. I grew up a bookworm, pretty much a couch potato, and never developed any good exercise habits. Sooooo hard to change that!! You are doing so well though, with your walking! I'm having trouble deciding what to give up to make time for SOME kind of exercise! I'm thinking sleep is not a good thing to give up.........

Karen, Sorry to hear the concert ran late again this year. But glad to hear your young'un did such a good job! So heartwarming when they are enjoying themselves doing it, too! You got all caught up at work, too??!! WTG!!! I've been working on this post for the last 3 hours--little bit at a time.....sigh......

Turkey dinner for JRKaren at work!!! WOW!!! I'm lucky if I get treated to pizza once in awhile. And of COURSE Lily and I are going to take care of you!! After all, what are friends for, anyway? Whoever this Drew-fella is, won't let him anywhere NEAR you!

Lizzie-dear, don't worry. You are NOT evil, JRK spelled it backwards! You are as LIVE as it comes!!! :rotfl: How's dinner coming? What time should bwe be there?

Arrrgggghhhhh.............just got a whole FLURRY of emails for work that I need to deal with. I'll get back and finish ketchupping later. :grouphug:

Okay that is so hard to ignore something like that :teeth:

Sherry  my heart goes out to you today...

Back to the sheet/shaving thing... honestly NO! I do not like the feel of freshly washed sheets (I do it, but hate the first night) and I particularly hate the feeling of freshly shaved legs beneath anything... just feels so cold. Actually I don't mind it when I wear hose... like today, I do feel warm and don't mind that feeling.

Sorry guys ;)

Thanks all for the hugs and good thoughts... I think about 4 times this week, I have felt like I was at my limit when yet another thing was dumped.

Yep, WDW is coming up soon. I have all but two gifts bought for Christmas/birthdays coming up. I only exchange gifts with one friend and her gift was delivered to me yesterday. It's nice to have that almost done completely. I will get my dad's gift when I go shopping this weekend for my exchange ::yes::

*sigh* and to clean and pack... that will all happen too... 2 weeks to go.

Kimmie  you've had a lot to deal with lately... I pray your lives will remain healthy and calm for a long time :)

Bethie, you could always make it for a Party of 10-12 or so at Prime Time ;) I have my Segway Tour that morning but I think I am free for lunch or dinner ::yes::

Btw, noon on Sunday is cool! Don't care where we meet though. I know I will have already done a little MK by then... oh and my first evening will be at Epcot for sure. Not sure about Sat... hey we should see what others plan to do and meet up tons :p

Blah, gotta work... catch y'all later

I pick #3. That way we can have a Beverly drinking contest.
