What a quiet day here.....where is everyone?

And I don't know what has come over me!! I am a cooking fool these days!!! I have been bitten by the domestic bug!!! It is ...Last week I started South Beach and I have lost 6 pounds....but now I am crazy iwth cooking all these yummy recipes!! Something new and tasty everyday. I do enjoy cooking....but the grocery shopping.... but anyway, Greg has come home to a nice dinner everynight for the past week, so he is loving this.....actually, I am too!!!

Nancy, sounds like you have ben getting some good shopping in as well. Tomorrow is get teh hairs golored and cut day...and then shopping for somebody's holiday package and a yaya's birthday!! Oh boy! I just love the thought of retail therapy!!! I might even make it to the post office as well! I have lots to send!!!

Todd!! How are things with you? Glad to hear you will have some nice Christmas lights this year.....we still have some in the trees from 3 years ago!!!

Karen, feel better. I am so glad I take Barkley to the groomer for just that reason!!

Lainey, you aren't aware of all these new things your boys have? And I thought you were the trend setter here!! Don't feel bad, I could not even point out Antonio or Orlando in a crowd!!!! No flames please!!!

OK, that is all I have...but I do have one last thing to share. I am getting Greg a handpainted picture of Barkley for Christmas. Just thought you would like to see how it is looking so far. I think it is a pretty good representation of him!!!

Hi all... wasn't on much last night... have some work to get done quickly today as well. But when I did try to get online, we got kicked off of the internet for a while so I didn't get to PMs or posting last night. Got one e-mail through to someone before it happened.

Y'all I am a bit off today... I've known about something that was in the news for a while, but heard today that the vaccine for cervical cancer was found to be a success, and I guess one step closer to becoming a reality for every one to be able to use. Anyone who knows anything about me might know why I would have such mixed emotions about it... so if I am not around, y'all know why.

And sorry about the lack of catch up too...

I'll get to real replies (here and PMs) when I feel more up to it.

found out not too long ago that a close co-worker of mine was killed in an accident. We don't know much details at the moment... sad though... she was right around my age too.

I got an e-mail last night from an "e-friend" that her DS passed away suddently on Sat. from a heart problem.....he was 39. How sad

Liz.....how do you like South Beach? Dave has been on it for about 2 months. I can't fit all the veggies in my frig. He likes Atkins better. SB makes him stay hungry all the time.
Oh well, if it works........we'll see if he can stay on it.
But.....DS has been on Atkins since Jan. and has lost 75 punds!! I'm so proud of him. And that is going off for holidays and trips.

I get to stay home today and get caught up on things. Yes....Cookie Day!!

Nancy, I once tried using the oatmeal raisin cookie recipe and substituted dried cranberries for the raisins--they were YUMMY!!!!!!

Pam, I loved your description of DDs dorm room!! LOL!!! So glad to hear you raised a true Disney fan!! Oh, and I haven't trusted MapQuest for several years now. Tried to get directions to a local country fair and the first part of the directions told me to turn the wrong way to get to the highway!!! Then when I was looking for a doctor, I entered the local street address and got a map of Richmond!!! I'll stick with AAA, thank you very much!

Sherry, hope things work out for your hubby. That was soooooo inconsiderate of the doc's office not to confirm with him that the appt had been cancelled!!

I have to admit, I do okay by Mapquest... the one that I hated was Yahoo maps... that one sent me in bad bad directions.

Perking up a little. Just bought my tradtional underwear & socks for my trip (as I always do for long trips) and picked up 2 new CDs today. One has Clay and one has Josh... life is good

Liz, DVC is going along. I haven't officially dated by the palm tree and signed by the Mickey heads yet (or is it signed by the Mickey heads and dated by the palm trees), but I will soon. I've decided to mail everything to them rather than wait until I'm down there. I also booked my first trip home for the first week in May, and I will be banking some points soon
