Morning! :)

Jordan's shot went OK. Dr. gave him a Snoopy band-aid, though, which is so not cool. :teeth:
Didn't find any costumes. Have a couple more places to try today. I'm getting frustrated. Went to Dave & Buster's for dinner and to play games. Had a blast. Too expensive, though. Next time we'll go and just play games. :teeth:

Lily, hope all went well with the Race For The Cure. Been watching parts of it on Channel 3. Glad the weather held up. :)

Nancy, hope you had fun at your wedding. :) Forgot to tell you that Sissy is wearing her Sleeping Beauty outfit for Halloween. :)

Elaine, hope you get your software probs fixed. They are such a pain.

Hi Pammy! Good to see you! :wave2:

Good morning. Not much time to post as we are headed to a birthday party this morning and I have yet to get a shower!!

Nothing exciting here its just been go go go go this entire week. I keep saying I'm going to stop and rest but that hasn't happened. I did find out however that Ethan won't be getting the RSV shot he needs. It is a shot to stop a virus that premmie babies get during the winter that can cause serious complications and often long hospital stays. The shots are given each month from October to April and are really expensive. So my insurance has decided that he doesn't qualify for the shots even though he was preterm, low birth weight, and in daycare (my mom is keeping them but she will be keeping other kids as well). Then I find out that none of us can get flu shots because of the shortage. Soooo now I have to worry about bringing the flu home from my students and giving to the baby and then worry that he will develop this lung illness!

Other than taht life is good. Sorry I can't do a better ketchup! or any ketchup at all!!

more later....I hope!
tara

Well this sucks... the CD rom broke... long story, and it was totally accidental and unintentional... so now I am going to remove it and see if we can fix it. Or I will have to go to Microcenter and buy & install a new one today

Sherry, I would have loved a Snoopy band aid :teeth: Good luck with costume shopping though!

Tara, sorry about all the shot issues you have :( I feel awful that I was able to get my flu shot just hours before they announced the shortage. I would have gladly given it up to someone who needed it!!! I just hope y'all don't get sick!

Good morning.

Wedding was nice. It was in one of our favorite churches (must be a popular one). Great pipe organ.
Friday traffic was TERRIBLE!! Good thing I left really early. It took 2 hours to go the 55 miles!
Reception was nice. Great cake. I have to ask them where they got it.....after they get back from their 2 week honeymoon to Italy!!

Pam  Glad you are back.
I'm sure some nice, kind Yayas would be glad to look for a Sleeping Beauty costume for you. I'm going by our BaB on Tuesday (although that is the one they were out of last time  ). I will be glad to check for you.

Tara....ohhh...that would make me mad about the shots, especially the RSV. Our friends' grandson got that when he was almot 1 and it was a tough one! They almost lost him. We actually were talking about it at the wedding last night.

Elaine.....have fun with that CD thingee ;)
Seems the Yayas have moved from car to computer mishaps :(

Lily good luck with the walk. Christin paid $5.00 yesterday to wear denim to work for the denim day for breast cancer (or whatever it was called).

Off to kethcup on some exchanges and things. Have a good day everyone :wave2:

Nancy, glad that the wedding was nice, sorry about the traffic though.

Yep, computer mishaps. Unable to fix the old CD-WR we had on this one so I went out and got a good deal on a CD/DVD-WR+ So I am a happy girl. Testing it out now.

We are having some people over in just over an hour... can't wait for these Sat visits to stop ;)

Race for the Cure event was excellent today! It is always such an inspirational thing. I got home and went to register for a 5k race that takes place tomorrow on the Towpath in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. I just love it there and proceeds of this race event go toward things dealing with the park.

Elaine, sorry that you had problems with the burner. We had to replace that in both of our computers recently. Seems to be working fine now. (Hope I didn’t jinx things by saying that.) DS has severe allergy problems and has bee really in bad shape these last couple of weeks; of course he won’t go to the doc either. Says doc can’t do anything to relieve it anyway, so he won’t spend for the office visit.

Pam! :earseek: It is great you stopped by. Hope all is well with you and family.

Nancy, glad the wedding was a good event. Traffic sure doesn’t sound too good there. We almost got onto the freeway by us and I think we would still be there. It is totally stopped for some road stuff going on and when we came back from errands it is still not moving.

Tara, sounds scary about not being able to get those shots covered. Isn’t there some sort of appeal process that can be pressed before the opportunity of time passes? After hearing responses from Nancy, I guess I’d be skeered. We were just talking about flu shots here and whether we would all need to try to get them or just Ted and Mom. I am hearing that if you have persons in your household that are at risk that the rest of the members should get the shots if they can to lessen the risk to the others. Will have to consult the Docs if there is an option. Sounds like the shortage is so serious, that it may not even be an option.

Sherry, glad Jordan’s shot went ok. I love fancy bandages! We call them fancy bandages at work and have fun with whatever we can with them. Snoopy would be ok…anything is fun!

Well, I am going to rest up for a couple of hours and get ready for the next event tonight. DH and I are going to an Octoberfest at his HS alma mater. Friends son is attending there and it is their fundraiser. We will enjoy.

Well, one CD down, 2 to go. So far so good with this. It is similar software to what I had before, but designed for XP and my specific burner. I just hope this software doesn't turn to toast like the others did.

Lily, glad all went well with the race. I would imagine it would be such a wonderful one to run!! Sorry you had troubles as well with your burners last month. MIne broke due to a knee though ;)

LOL Lily :teeth: Fortunately the only thing that hurt was the CD burner... but now I decided to go for a DVD burner so I guess it was worth it getting broke.

And I proved to my husband that I can install everything myself ::yes::

btw, nice edit there Lily... much appreciated!

Well 2 are done and now on the last one... so far this thing is so much faster!!

Good evening, everyone!

I went shopping today :) I had a 30% coupon for Kohl's, so I went and bought some clothes and stuff. It was nice to see my $122 bill go down to $84 with the coupon. Woofreakinghoo!

I wound up cancelling my Segway tour for Dec., and reserving the Backstage Magic tour instead. I did half the Segway tour in May (we got rained out of the outdoor portion), and I figured since I had already ridden on a Segway once, it was a lot of money to do it again. So, I opted to take an all day, more expensive tour :)

Elaine, enjoy your DVD burner! I have one on my PC, and love it. My nieces and nephews got the biggest kick out of the title's I put on the DVD I made of my nephew's school play.

Lily, very cool about the Race for a Cure. Good for you :) I'm sure it was very inspiring. You're just the racing fool. I'll race you to a barstool at Jellyrolls in Dec.

Well, gotta fly. Later.

JellyrollsKaren

Good news.....Michael got a job! He now works at Chik-Fil-A at the mall. I like it because the company is closed on Sundays so I know he wont be working all weekend and will have time to study. He is taking one AP class this semester and they have lots of homework. Im very proud of him. Just when they are driving you crazy and you are sure they have no sense they go and do something responsible, lol.
Tara check with some clinics to see if Ethan can get the shot there. All my boys had and still have their shots at the clinics that dont charge because our insurance will not cover it. I do think he needs the shots though. You just cant be to careful.
JRKaren--I must hit Kohls too. I love that place but its heck on my wallet.
Pammy!! Nice to see you pop in. I dont know why but every time I go to a crop and see the ladies with hammers hammering in their eyelets I think of you :D
:wave2: Nancy, Elaine, Lily, Sherry.........and everyone

...hey, what am I, CHOPPED LIVER??!?!?!:guilty:  And CBT only acknowledges me when I post a pic of one o' her cabana boys....oh, don't mind me, I'm in a pissy kinda mood today.....rant over

Awwww kimmar puckerup: :flower3:  You are not chopped liver! Plllllleeeeease forgive my horrendous oversite :worship:
To get back in your good graces I will let you know the minute I see a code for Feb :D

Join the club........but you have to dig your own hidey hole........

Carry on :worried:

Awww Beth  I am so sorry you aren't having a good day.
Kimmar, you too

Well Ohio State lost and Luis is in a surprisingly pissy mood, so I think I will avoid him the rest of the evening.

JRKaren, congrats on your good deal there at Kohl's! My dad took that tour last year and loved it. Said it was so worth the money. I wanted to do the Segway tour this year, but Luis isn't too keen on doing it. So I guess I'll wait for another trip.

Deena, congrats to Michael on his job! I love that place!!!

Hi. Woke up with what I guess was a pinched nerve in the neck. Couldn't move most of the day. Anyhoo... seems better now.

Kimmar I'm sorry. I didn't realize I had done that. It most definitely wasn't done intentionally. I apologize. :( That's something I usually try hard not to do, but guess I screwed up a bit. I'm sorry. :(

Beth, I'm so sorry you're having a hard day. A hug to you Miss Bethie!

Deena, congratulations to Michael on the job!! That's wonderful!! Isn't it great when that happens?! Cam has shown signs of maturity and responsibility lately that truly make me smile.

Elaine, Nasty computer problems. :( I feel bad now. Ack. I'm glad things are getting all straightened out though.

Woofreakinghoo! LOL!! :p Love that! :p

So how come JRKaren was hiding and didn't want to be found earlier? Was that so that Pammy couldn't find you and make you do the nekkid roadkill dance? ;)

Speaking of Pammy... hello Pammy! It's so good to see you! Wonder what the deal was with the 'puter lockup? :( I hope it doesn't continue to be a problem for you because we would love to see more of you around in YaYa land!

Sherry! Any luck with the costumes yet?

Nancy, the story of your friend's grandson was so scary!! Bless his heart!

Tara, I'm with Lily...can you go through some sort of appeal?

Lily, you are an amazing woman! The walks and the races you take part in... I just think that is truly very cool!! So how is your mom's bedroom looking? BB&B has a bed set that I love. Only problem is the set comes with only shams, a bedskirt and comforter. Well, the only thing I would really want is the comforter and I really don't feel like paying 250.00 for a comforter and two other items I'd never use. Sigh. BUT... I did find the matching accent pillows on sale, so went with them instead. Everything else on the bed is white, so thankfully all goes together well.

Hello to RoseMary! Did I read something about a water fight back there somewhere? :p LOL! That's great! Lots of fun!

...and a hello to all YaYas that haven't checked in today. :)

Went down to see how Luis was doing... he seems to be taking the OSU loss worse than I took last weeks  I got his mind off the game a little and we watched Dirty Dancing for a while. Feel like I have a sinus infection in the making... so since that's going on, I figured I would leave the windows wide open... if I am already congested who cares :p Feels so great to have the wind blow through like that :)

Hush it Kimmie... don't you dare feel bad about anything! I didn't put a lot into this computer previously, so this cost isn't all that bad. Plus I have a DVD burner now :p It's also my extra paycheck month so I have extra $$$ to blow :teeth: It will be nice to be able to back up onto DVD-WR as well. I might get less use out of my laptop in the future than I thought

Hey Everyone,

Sorry I havent been around. Going through a really tough time right now and I haven't been really chatty. I have been reading and you have all been in my thoughts and prayers.

Sounds like bad day for a lot of people :(
Hope everyone has a better one tomorrow.

P&PD please. Just found out that BIL is in the hospital (has been for a week  That is a rant for another time).
He is scheduled for surgery on Monday. He has a lot of health issues. We don't have a good feeling about this time around.

Just motoring through on my way to church.

Suzanne I returned your PM.

Nancy prayers and pixie dust going out for your BIL.
