Lily, I take it you are working from home? If so, at least htat is better than having to go in! And I hope to find just a couple more shirts for work. A few that I bought a couple months ago are too big... I'm running out of things I need so at least that's good!

I'm not even going to try and ketchup. I had 12 pages to read since the last time I was here. Mothy bunch you are!! So I'm gonna sum it all up:

I survived the field trip. Ethan finally slept Tuesday night....after midnight and then a new medicine that I started taking (new happy pills) made me jittery all night so I didn't sleep much, the trip would have been great if you took away the girl who got sick on the bus on the way to the battlefield. Take away the rude and obnoxious children who had no manners. And you subtract having to ride home sittng next to the still sick girl!! Really, the trip would have been perfect if there had been no students!! But i have to say my four students out of the 55 were very good. It was the others!!

I'm not sure my florida yayas saw my post the other day about needing info about florida school systems so if you didn't I'll ask here for help. (Thanks Pam for the bump the other day!!) the summary is I have lost my teaching position within my school. I still have a job but my job was cut....(the less experienced cheer leading coach got to keep the only Deaf teaching position...I'm pretty unhappy right now) Anyway, I've said for 10 years I needed a husband so i could go live in Florida...but I've decided maybe I need to just do it myself. It wouldnt' be for at least a year, but I thought I would start checking out school districts in Florida to see what they have. So if you have any web addresses for your local school systems I would appreciate them. thanks!

Okay, gotta rock and roll. I'm doing the cakes for the baby shower today and I need to go finish them now. I hope to check inlater!!

A real quick hi......gotta sick puter ....4 viruses thus far ...and I am only about a 1/4 of the way through the free McAfee scan...off to get some puter pills....aka anti vorus software!! Argh!!! You may not see me for a few days til I make this all better........so hey! Love peace and happiness all the way around! Oh, and my exchange package is boxed and ready to go! Should hit the post office Monday!!!

We didn't go shopping yesterday Just watched Buffy most of the day while Geoff played poker.
We did get to go to Olive Garden of dinner
And we did get to Cheesecake Factory for lunch of Thursday. The avocado eggrolls were so GOOD!!!

Tara, I have the three counties school systems bookmarked on the old laptop. I'll pm ya later with the info. And I have the special ed coordinator's number for Hillsborough and Polk Counties around here somewhere, so that would help you, too. Hillsborough's is Denise Provenzano (don't remember her number).

Having done the move-
You can write off the move if you do it for a job and it's more than 50 miles.
Housing is still relatively inexpensive compared to up there.
You know a few people down here if you center on an area.

I know Rosemary's up by Jax, but their municipal site is www.coj.com. It probably will link you to the schools. From what she's told me (my boss got promoted and thought he had to move there), south side is the way to go. Jacksonville is huge, and growing. More need for teachers!

Sorry, probably should've pmed all that, but I was too lazy!

Gotta head to the post office with my friend Aeryn's apartment locator stuff, then off to order our microwave and dishwasher. Oh, and to see the house in the daylight. I'll take pictures and post later.

I liked the Lemon Chicken because I am a citris freak, however they used too many scallions in it, so next time I'll have to ask for it w/o. (onions of any time and me do not agree with each other )

Hey all,

Thanks for the support with my decision. I appreciate it a lot. I feel pretty darned good about it. It's whats right for me and my family. Since leaving there I have come to the realization of what an unhealthy place it was for me. Sometimes it takes a push out the door to make you realize stuff. I am in a much healthier work environment now. Lily thank you for the kind words about me not being stupid. I actually think for me this was the smartest thing I ever did. I am much calmer, happier and more content than I have been in a very long time. My husband, my kids, and even my doctor noticed the change in my demeanor.

Tara I will post the Broward County School Board site in a little while for you I will also PM you with the name and phone number of the SE specialist at my kids school. She is wonderful. I am really sorry to hear about your job.

Pammy Im so sorry you lost your post. I found something really neat for you today. I think I have your addy from the card exchange so I will send it out Monday.

Liz Im sorry your computer is sick. I hope you get it fixed up really soon. How did you get so many viruses?

Sherry Im sorry you are feeling poorly. Prayers and pixie dust that it goes away quickly.

Been busy today....we got the oil changed in both vehicles, bought a 'thingy' for the top of the van to store stuff in (too many camping items), picked up my new glasses, took a walk, necessary shopping then home to relax a few before we go to the cheap theater to see the Incredibles.

Evening, all. We had a nice day running around and spending more of the tax refund. Ordered the dishwasher and microwave, got pictures of the house, went to the home show and bought two cases of wine (!!!). We were a bit tipsy from the tastings, and if I'd walked Ed past the spas again, we might have ended up buying the cozy spa for 3! Oh well, not this time-but now I know what to do when I want to get one, lol!

I'll upload some pics from the house in a bit, they're on the laptop and ready to go onto the imagestation account. Cool deal was that we found some of the cut laminate in the garage trash pile, so we now have actual samples to take with us places to match paint and furniture.

Sounds like a busy day in yaya land!
