Good Morning Ya-Ya friends!!

Last night was a quiet night - Alyssa went out with friends (12 of them went out to eat at an ice cream place an thm to another friends to watch a movie - what a great group of friends she has!!) - Christopher and his friend went to 2 hockey games (high school - girls and boys - DH (Jeffrey) fell asleep watchign Sci-Fi - as predicted - I watched TLC. Did a little shoping yesterday - still buying exchange goodies - no luck yet on finding lapel pins.
No plans for today - anyone going shopping feel free to swing by here and pick me up  - I am carless today - Alyssa is at work now and leaving for Connecticut when she gets home - hubby is at his brothers playing "butcher" - Christopher is still sleeping. I am venturing into the basement "archives" today to find more Disney pics for scrapping. Have to work tonite 4pm - 11pm and tomorrow noon to 7pm.

Todd - :wave2:

Alan - :wave2: - your pics are just too funny!!

Sherry - continuing to pray for your SIL - glad thre was some good news.

Caroline -

Suzanne - how very kind of you to offer to share your weather with me!! Glad to hear that your interviews went well.

Kimmar - great haircut story - now if I could only get my son to cut his hair....it's about to his shoulders - it's becoe his "signature" (he's 16).

Tara :wave2:

Elaine - you made me chuckle "I wasn't intending to drive that fast" - hahahaha

Karen - sending good thoughts to you about the job - soi much to think about - enjoy the baseball banquet tonite.

Lily :wave2:

Beth - shopping??? Can I come?????

Nancy - hope your restaurant quest is successful today.

Kristy - glad to hear that the doctors appt went well - I have never had Tetnus shot - my daughter Alyssa however had the 3-series rabies shots because she works with animals. As far as Daycare goes I didn['t go back to work until my son (#2 child) was 2 - my SIL babysat until Alyssa had to go to kindergarten then I found a babysitter in our town - unfortunately it didn't last - she was not licensed (I knew that and had no problem with it) and was reported for having too many kids mien being "new" they were the first to be let go - fortunately the company that I work for is a 24hr company and they offered for me to work from home - Alyssa was in kindergarten then - I'm still working from home (now a supervisor of the after-hours staff) and Alyssa is a senior in HS!!!

I hope everyone has a great day - just a quick Disney memory - was looking thru some old stuff that I took when my dad moved - found a box of book matches - 2 (unused) from Contemporaty HOtel!!!! Can you believe that??

Hugs to all,

Afternoon!

Thanks for all the prayers for my SIL. She stopped by last night on her way home from the hospital. They prescribed her some Nexium for her horrible heartburn, so she is happy about that. She will have to test her sugar everyday, and have her BP checked at the hospital every day. The dr. said it isn't preeclampsia, but it is like a minor form of it. They are still baffled, and just can't figure it out. Regardless, it looks like my little nephew will be here by the end of the month.

Nancy, good luck looking for a restaurant.

Kristy, glad all went well at the dr. :bounce: Can't help with the child care. I have stayed home ever since the oldest was born. If you lived closer to me, I would babysit. :teeth:

Karen, hope all works out with the new job.

Kimmar, great story. So glad DS was able to get his haircut.

Well, I best jump in the shower. Need to take the boy's to the library, go to Sam's Club, exchange some frames at Michael's, and get the van washed.

Me again - didn't expect to post so soon byt today is shaping up to be a very good day - my husband had a doctors appt this moring - all is well - and he came home with a Large Dunkin Donuts coffee for me!!

Alyssa just came home with the mail - she got a scholarship award letter from the college she will be attending - SUNY - Albany - she has bee acepted into their Honors/Scholars program - adn awareded a $55 scholarship for merit and the opportunity for a 5th year graduate scholarship - this program also offers perks for housing, registration - tutoring - etc.

I am so very proud!!!!!! :cool1:

oh - boy - I need to learn to proofread - it's a $5500 scholarship - hahahaha

Good speller - bad typist!!

:flower:

Dang it, I jsut hit a wrong key and di dwhat Lily did :(

Busy day... ran errands, got my exchange package sent along with some others. Luis called a while ago and told me he'd be home at around 5 PM or so.

Karen, good luck with figuring out about the job.

Nancy, how did it go today? Were you able to find a place for the dinner?

Kristy, be sure to share the pictures when you have them!

LOL, Paula... I swear I don't mean to drive fast near my house. It's very well known that I have a lead foot... but I am usually very aware on how fast I do go :p

Sherry, I hope that all goes well for the next month for your SIL.

Congratulations to Alyssa!!! That is great!!!!

It must be a '16-y-o" thing! Although my DS's hair isn't to his shoulders [yet!], you can see it's 'outta this world'!!(pic on right - he's wearing the blue striped shirt):

:( No luck......looking online for more possiblities. Pam you are on call!!!

Paula, congrats to your DD. Christin got something similar :) She had 12 best friends too :)

:rotfl: Well, Geoff's hair is down to his waist! Hoping someone can talk him into cutting it before the wedding.

Off to do some more looking....no more trips.

quick question...what program is everyone using to host pictures now that imagestation is cracking down on links??

I haven't had trouble with imagestation as of yet... although I do use a different site for my sig pics... always have though.

Sorry about that Nancy :( I hope something works out!!!

Just a quick hi!
Looking for some Anne Geddes pics for SIL's shower cake. Her shower will now be AFTER the baby, but oh well. :teeth:

Sorry you didn't have any luck, Nancy. :( Hope you find something soon.

Paula, congrats to your DD!! :bounce:

Evening all. Productive day today, but I'm a sleepy girl. I didn't sleep well last night and it's definitely caught up to me.

So we NYer's are picky about our pizza. We moved here and the only 'authentic' NY pizza is over by Mom's, an hour away. Ed and I tried to go to a little mom and pop place a few months ago and found that it was only open from 5-10pm. That told us we needed to try it. Finally did tonight-and it was good. Nothing like NY crust, this one was crumbly, but everything else was the real deal. Yummy. As far as Neil is concerned, we can get him garlic bread with cheese and he's done! :rotfl: Still on the search for the real thing, but this was good, too.

Gotta love having 18 year old employees. The first thing they wanna know when I said I hired two guys was "are they cute?", lol! This led to an informative conversation telling me where every cute guy in the mall works!

Liz, I got your prize, woohoo! I got two people bugging me for your b'day toppers.

Nancy, bummer that you haven't found a place yet. Tell ya what, I'll do fondues for you and Pammy can offer the meats for it!

FYI-Alavert works really good! It's done more in two days than benedryl did in a week!

Kristy, I think Imagestation has just cracked down on hosting pictures that are used for commercial/ebay purposes. Ed went to upload to my account and found out that the pretty pictures couldn't be used for ebay! Oops. Now we gotta get our webpage up!

Sherry, just think, you can have pass the baby fun instead of the various baby games!

Paula, congrats to Alyssa! Every little bit helps!

Oh yeah, Kristy, on the child care front. I was very lucky when Neil was born. Had a friend 'nanny' for four months, then I got my next daycare through my interviewer for a job! Having two kids was expensive on that front, so for a year, I waitressed weekends. I actually made more in three days at Outback than I did in 5 days in retail management! I'm thankful the kids are in school full time. The key is that I asked anyone and everyone if they were happy with their child care, and that's how I got some awesome people.

Don't be so mothy folks, wanna be able to ketchup tomorrow!

Suzanne

Hi All,

Paula congrats on your DD! Thats wonderful!

Nancy Im sorry it didnt work out with the place for the reception. I hope you find something soon.

Kristy I would love to see the new pics of Dakota when you get them.

We just got home from the Bball Awards Ceremony. I am SO proud of my eldest. He won the White Star Award for most Christlike boy. I cried my eyes out when he won. He was one of only two...there is also a girl chosen...out of 347 children who played in the league. He won it not by trying, or practicing, or any form of working towards it he won it for just being him, the wonderful young man he is.

My youngest is in love with the watch they gave out as an award to each player. It's a really nice watch with the words Upward and a white star on it to remind them always to be Christlike. He has had a great time showing it off. I was told by one of the grandfathers of another player on his team that he missed getting shots of his own grandson because he just loved watching my youngest play and he was watching him for most of the game today. I was also told by the grandmother and mother of the other boy how sweet and wonderful they think my little guy is. It really made me feel good.

Im sorry if Im bragging but I am just so proud of both my boys.

Gotta get the guys off to bed and then Im gonna hit the hay myself. Night Night all.

HUGS TO ALL!! :grouphug:

Hi gang!!

Help ME, Help YOU...gotta love Jerry Maguire...just finished watching it...

Matthew and Michael had this for a couple of days and I have had it for week!! But mine has mostly been the crappy feeling, not to much of the okay.

Sherry there is a song they play pretty often on the radio "lil sis" by Queens of the Stoneage. It has cowbell in it so it reminds me of you everytime I hear it, lol--Oh and Will Farrell dancing around with a cowbell

Morning Ya Yas!
Karen, great news about your son! I would be proud too.

Todd, hope ya feel better. I like watching Jerry Macguire.

Kristy, can't wait to see the new pics.

Nancy, sorry about the restaurant thing. Baloney sandwiches maybe?

Beth, hope ya had fun shopping.

Paula, congrats about that scholarship for DD. When I first read I was thinking $55 Whoa! Wondered how many zeros were left out.
:teeth: Good news.

Sherry, well at least there will be a baby shower. I've heard of a lot of times if it is after the baby is born many don't have one. Glad you are still going for it. Things are needed for sure. It will be such fun to see the wee one there I'm sure.

Suzanne, I think the quest for good pizza would be fun. I love pizza. Seems like a lot of the ethnic foods that we are used to here are missing in FL.

Oh yeah, Kristy we did in home day care and then day care at a local church for half days. DH and I worked opposite shifts for quite some time. It was exhausting, but we did it. Good luck with that.

Didn't get out to shop yesterday. Got stuck indoors uploading a new Quicken 2005 program then trying it out. Wondering abut doing online banking. Anyone here do that? Bank says it's free and since the price is right I am thinking on it. We went to dinner, watched As Good as it Gets, then did some work.

Off for my cuppa...
Will say prayers for all today! Later...

Quick hi here... I think I am in way over my head for the song I am singing today at church... I just (for whatever stupid reason) cannot seem to get it!

Sherry, better late than never! I love Anne Geddes stuff!

Karen, congrats to your eldest! Definitely should be proud!

Todd, love that movie too! That line is classic! Feel better soon... sound like the same annoying thing I've been dealing with all week.

Hi Deena!

Lily, I do almost all my banking online... I just can track everything better that way. Makes doing payments like the mortgage easier too!

Need to go now... need to get ready as well as work on that song some more... catch y'all later :)
