I woke up and there are at least 100 more pages on this thread to read. Think if we move we will all be too busy moving to keep up this rapid pace? Just thought I would say  ! Not sure what we are doing here, but I think we are going to and find some fun, or trouble....whichever comes first!! :earseek:

Very quick hi here... way behind in schedule...

Nancy, well girl only time... that's all good! And yep, multiple times in a year can work ;)

Todd, sorry that Mandy as strep. I was wondering if it was due to an infection or thing like that. HOpe she feels better soon.

Suzanne, loved all the pics! I am laughing at the one of me though... mostly because I can tell from the pursed lips and the look in my eyes that I must have been just about to crack up. Even Luis said that. It's very cute to me!!!!

Welcome Home Lily!!!! Cannot wait to hear all about it! Congrats on doing so well!!!

Karen, glad youa r feeling better! And feel free to pick my brain with Spanish stuff. If I don't know it, Luis does ;)

Caroline, just book it and drag him there! They actually look fun to me!

Glad you enjoyed the movie, Sherry

And hi Liz!

I do need to go... I am starting a search for a bathing suit (just started seeing them in stores) and shorts for the cruise. Mad love to all, and check y'all alter!

Gotta get my stuff together this morning for the pin meet in Lorain this afternoon. Hope to see Sherry there (or else I'll have to drop by your house) and maybe Lily will feel like venturing out on a chilly NE Ohio afternoon. Or not. Welcome home. I can't wait to hear all about the Disney marathon.

Good morning.

No way can I follow all those amazing ketchups

Lily...Welcome back!! And congratulations!!

Hope Mandy feels better soon.

Good to see you back, Karen.

Suzanne.....hope the surgery goes well. And that table is great. Christin needs one, but I think her budget is a tad too low for something like that ;)

Liz how goes your job seaching?

JRKaren...you want to meet me?? Okay, you might be a tad disappointed. I am not much fun.....

:wave2: Sherry, Caroline.

Kristy....hope you're feeling better.

Busy day today. We're leaving soon for some shopping, apartment re-looking, lunch and movie.

have a great day everyone.

Oh, just to set the record straight, my birthday isn't for another couple of weeks.

Ohhhhh, Kimmie - what have *you* started???

;)

Suzanne - I love that table! It's gorgeous!! (And your DH and little munchkins are pretty cute, too!) My DH's great-grandfather made a little side table that looks just like the top of your table! He cut and molded little pieces of wood and it was a chess/checkers table! We have that table (think night stand size) as well a a stagecoach, horses, and coachmen that he made! And I nearly split a gut at that roadkill graphic on the back of that pickup!!!! :rotfl:

Shep - that is unbelievable about Mandy! Hope Cassie remains well!

Caroline - I have to chuckle at your comments about wearing the ketchup costume - first off - when I first invaded the YaYas a few years ago, I actually did that - wearing a Wonder Woman costume! (well, "wearing" in verbally in computer-eze.....

Secondly - yesterday, on the way home from picking up DD, we passed the Heinz ketchup factory and I had to snert when I saw the big Heinz bottle pouring the ketchup out. I will try to snap a photo the next time I'm down there. :)

Liz - how's your weather? And silly girl - you only had 88 pages to ketchup this morning. You are *such* a drama queen.....

Karen - congrats to your ping and pong!

Aha - Elaine sneated!!! Hey - they hve some really nice thong bathing suits online.... want me to send you some URLs???

LILY! LILY! LILY! Welcome Home!! And WooHoo on completing the Half Marathon!! Details - we want details!! :jumping4:

Good morning! Well, I'm happy, the cold weather has arrived, it's 27º outside and it finally feels like winter! Had a nice lazy sleep in till after 8, baked biscuits for breakfast and now I'm ketchupping while DH
coffee-n-news_2_2.gif
It is soooo nice to actually have a day that is completely unscheduled!

Tara, what a beautiful way to celebrate Rick's life! I will keep my eyes peeled late this afternoon to see if any of those balloons float up this way. I think it's a lovely gesture and will be a great catharsis for all of you, as well.

Suzanne, I LOVE the table set!! I prefer dark woods and that is simply gorgeous! Love the parquet effect on the table top and the height is just soooo neat. Dare I ask how expensive the table is? I'm seeing a $99 price tag on the chair, so 4 chairs would be about $400? I think I am going to be haunting the furniture stores now to see if I can find anything similar here. Wonder if IKEA has anything...........Oh, and that roadkill sticker is too funny!!

You bet we'll plan a girls trip around you, Nancy! I'll bring my guy and the 2 Dave's can head off on their own when we have our girly time! We'll have to do a tea at GF or a princess: breakfast/brunch or something and we can all wear tiaras! Maybe even princess gowns!! Can't you just imagine a gaggle of Ya Yas, strolling regally down Main Street in their princess outfits, tiaras and all........

Hey, Stacy! So how far north up the Jersey Shore are you? My DH is from south Jersey (just across the bridge from DE, actually) and we buzz up that way to visit his family now and then. Maybe we could come shop at your store one of these days! Wouldn't be the first Ya Ya meet to take place at TDS!! That's how we got Suzanne!! Can't believe the weather you had yesterday--what a confusing day! My mom always called that pneumonia weather cuz nobody ever knew how to dress. Hope you are staying cozy and dry! And I love that you are throwing the surprise party for your DH! Good luck keeping the secret and I'm sure he will appreciate it even if he does think he hates surprises.

OMG, Todd! I can't believe poor Mandy has been walking around with strep for over 2 weeks! Stupid doc
bif.gif
who saw her the first time!! Hope she feels better right quick, now. Glad to hear you've got meds for Cassie too, just in case. Although if she hasn't caught it after all this exposure, she probably won't. Always good to be prepared, just in case, though. {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}

ACK!!! Suzanne posted pix that reminded me that I still haven't finished going thru my December WDW pix! I gave ya'll a few Little Liz pix and then forgot all about the rest.
bonk.gif
I plead senility and old age.......will try to get to them after we play domestic today.

Congrats, Lily, on finishing your 1/2 marathon!! Glad you are back home with us and I can't wait to hear all about your experience. We'll give you some time to get back to RL and then you can join us in planning the next Ya Ya invasion of WDW. How does the first weekend of May sound to you?!!

{{{{{{{{{{Karen}}}}}}}}}} Sweetie, I was gettin' worried about you! I started to IM you at work yesterday, but my boss interrupted me and then I got busy again. Now I'm glad I didn't, I would NEVER want to jeopardize your job!! So glad to see you post again and to know that you are on the road to recovery. Wonderful news about the boys' report cards--tell them Auntie Beth sends hugs for both of them! So glad to hear things are so much calmer at dinnertime. I had too many years of the frantic dinners and evening activities, that I can identify totally with your relief!!

I meant to say before, that I think your co-workers were wonderful the day after your cake, JRKaren. Not many of us get to work with such a caring group of people--you are truly blessed!

Caroline, don't make Scott sulk in May--bring him along! Think of the envy he will see in all the other guys' eyes when they see him squiring around a bevy of beautiful Ya Yas!! Besides, we could all use a cabana boy to fetch Mickey Bars and such for us!

OK, time for
bath.gif
and play domestic goddess. Hope ya'll have a great day!!

Oh my!! Almost a whole page of sneaters!!

Poohzanne, thanks for the Haverty's link!

Liz, have a good time today--hope you find fun and not too much trouble!!! Although, trouble is usually fun too............. ;)

Elaine, are you going to be like the comic strip Cathy when bathing suit shopping?! I swear, I cannot look at the swim suit dept. without thinking of her in the dressing room screaming AAAAACCKKK!!!

TC, you are actually going to meet up with Sherry today?!! Whoo-hooo!! Guess I got my money's worth out of your delivery service. That's OK, at least I know some goon didn't stack heavy boxes on top of them and crush them to smithereens. Have a great time at the pin meet!! Hope you find something really great!!

Nancy, now don't you go telling ANYbody that you are not much fun!! I can CERTIFY that we had a blast with you in both Chicago and DL!!! And I am really and truly looking forward to planning a WDW trip to meet up with you again! You won't by any chance be bringing any more of those cappucino lollipops, would you? :P

Yes, Pammie, methinks you and Caroline must be sisters-at-heart with your matching fetishes for tights and capes and super hero gear :teeth: That is sooo cool about the stuff you have from your DHs great-grandfather! I would especially like to see the stagecoach, horses and coachmen--sounds sooooo cool!! I have a precious piece from my dad--a jewelry box he made for me when I was a teenager. It looks like a little chest of drawers and exactly matched the divider he built in the room I shared with my 2 sisters.

I can't believe I'm still sitting here.........it's been nearly 3 hours!!!!!!

About to go... wish me luck... plan to have lunch at Chick Fil A

John, have fun at the meet!

Nancy, you too are fun!!! I remember having tons of it when I was at DL ;)

LOL, Beth, I am not so worried this year, and honestly there isn't much choice out that at this moment, but my other suit is baggy... I've already tried some on, but the styles right now I've seen aren't very good for a larger chested woman. I'll find something though.

See y'all later! :)

Good afternoon everyone!

I just went into Boston to do a few errands. I wound up having lunch at PF Chang's (potstickers and soothing chicken lettuce wraps). After, I couldn't resist geting an ice cream at the Cold Stone Creamery. And then I proceeded to walk to the subway in 30 degree weather eating my ice cream. Yes, ice cream in 40 degree weather :)

We're having my mom's first anniversary mass this afternoon at 4:00. Three of my aunts, and a few of my cousins are coming. We are going to have dinner at a local Italian restaurant called Pastalenas afterwards. I arranged for the musician to sing my mom's prayer--the Prayer of St. Francis (the patron saint of our church).

Caroline, you should definitely come to Disney in May when I'm there. I'll even let you talk to me sometime. And yeah, bring Scott. We can torment him ;)

Liz, I think you have some number issues. You said there were a hundred pages for you to catch up on since you went to bed last night. There was a total of nine posts between your last post last night and your first post today. I think you need to spend more time with Cassie and Mandy so they can teach you to count.

John, have fun at the pin meet.

Elaine, hope you have luck finding a bathing suit. I had a dream the other night that I bought a new bathing suit.

Bethie, yes, I do have some wonderful co-worker. They were incredibly sweet the day after I broke down in work. I am really blessed to have wonderful people in my life--not just at work, in my family, and here on the DIS. Oh, and check your voicemail. I left you one. Give Dave a big hug for me.

Lily, I'm glad you're back! Now get back to posting. I want to hear all about your trip.

Nancy, I'm sure you are a lot more interesting than you think you are. And I must be a lot more interesting than I think I am--I think people enjoyed my company last month.

Suzanne, I can't keep track of everyone anymore either. I'm just going to start calling everyone "hey you" and let you all figure out who the heck I'm talking to.

Pam, unlike Kimmie, I was actually being truthful that my birthday isn't for another couple of weeks (January 27th to be exact). I'm not trying to mooch extra wishes from anyone or anything like Kimmie.

Well, I think that will do it.

JellyrollsKaren

I have 4 pages worth of stuff to ketchup on...It's now 1:52pm..let's see how long this takes me.

Yup Carolina 109.00 for ONE book. that would be one heck of a grad school if you only had one book :p

Yah Nancy I've been following C. Ann's story. It's so sad and heartbreaking. I really feel for her and what she's having to go through. I can't remember if I said this before or not, but congrats to Christin on getting the job and finding an apartment. Hope you're able to find your table, chairs, and rug today!

Susie one more sneat and we're going to have to rename you to SneaterSus. ;)

Looks like John will have a big Memorial Day group with all of the roadtrippers joining in.

Elaine can you have Luis make me one of those brownie sundaes? It sounds SO yummy!!!! Good luck finding a bathing suit and shorts today.

Beth can I send my laundry over to you, please? ;) shhh..don't say SCI FI too loud..Derek might here you, then I'd have to give up control of the remote :p Hope you had a good evening lounging on the couch. Enjoy your day of rearranging and cleaning.

Tara that was very sweet of Rick's mom to tell you that. Glad that you were able to see old friends even if it was bittersweet.

Suzanne I LOVE that table set. It's GREAT!

Stacy that's a heck of a weather jump!!! Good luck with the surprise party. Hope you're able to convince hubby not to kill you ;) Congrats on hitting 500.

Todd glad to hear the doctor was able to figure out what the knot was. Sorry that Mandy isn't happy about staying home though.

Lily Welcome Home!!! Congrats on the marathon!!

Karen glad that you're feeling better and today is your last day of the nasty medicine. Kudos to Ping and Pong on the report cards

Carolina great ketchup as usual. Hope you're day is going well at work.

Sherry glad you enjoyed the movie.

JRKaren

 Pam..hope you're behaving today ;)

TC hope the pin meet goes well. You'll have to fill us in on all the new pins you get.

Shew...it's now 2:48 and I'm officially ketchedup.

I slept in till about 11:20 this morning and have been lazing on the couch since then. My tummy is better, but now I'm all congested and my throat hurts. I'm also wobbly when I'm up and about.

Liz, I think you have some number issues. You said there were a hundred pages for you to catch up on since you went to bed last night. There was a total of nine posts between your last post last night and your first post today. I think you need to spend more time with Cassie and Mandy so they can teach you to count.

It's the drugs and alcohol talking again, JRKaren. :earseek: Poor dear, we try to be supportive and play along with whatever she says.... it isn't always easy, though......

Ahem - I don't recall having that Lexus I had delivered to your house returned to me. You know - that nice shiny silver car with the BIG red bow - just like on the TV commercials!

And - (it appears that I am on a roll, now!) When you started walking toward the subway eating your ice cream it was 30º and in the next sentence it is now 40º! Just what flavor was that ice cream cone - Vodka Venus Delight, Jack Daniel's Dimples or Schooner's Scotch Smoothie??????

(Don't mind me - I had miffed at DH and have been since last night and I need to take my aggressions out on someone. ;))

Blech, found one bathing suit I half liked, but it was a bit small in the chest... if I went up one size it would have been way too big around the stomach (it was already too loose as it was). It really really really really sucks to be big chested when trying to find something you like :( No luck on shorts either... only the Junior's department has them out

I'll keep my eye out, but I might just wear what I have and not care. Don't feel like doing a ketchup (even though it would be short). In a pissy mood because the mall was crowded and I hate that! Big crowds make me cranky.

Ah ha! I see on Saturday we are less mothy but more ketchupy. I guess it's a combination of having lives and free time. ;)

Work is going by fairly well. There are a few people here I'd rather not be working with, but the headphones are serving me well, so not too much trouble on that front. On the other hand, my wrists are giving my grief. Tara, do you remember where it first hurt when you started on the road to carpal tunnel? Top of wrist or underside or somewhere else?

Hi Sherry! Hope you're having a good Saturday.

Suzanne, we'll hold down the fort for you while you're offline. Hope you have a good trip.

Liz, hope you found some fun trouble to get into. We'll want details, of course.

Elaine, I'm trying to convince him that yurt trumps tent, because he doesn't have to sleep on the ground. He still seems skeptical. Maybe it was the idea of the cold that was the hitch. I'll have to try again this summer. ;) I hear ya about fitting the chest and not the rest of ya. I dream of someday being able to tuck in a shirt and lift my hands above my head without having to re-tuck in. Sorry your trip wasn't a success.

TC, hope you had fun at the pin meet. How many people were there? All Disney pin-ners?

Nancy, hope you get some time to relax in your busy day. Is the apartment re-looking just going back to make sure, or is she looking at somewhere else?

Pam - Are there pictures of this Wonder Woman activity? I'm frightened, yet curious. LOL. One of Scott's favorite pictures is me, when I was about 5, in Wonder Woman underoo's. I'm looking forward to pics of the big ketchup bottle. A ketchup packet made me giggle yesterday (made me think of yurt again). The Ya Ya terms taking over my brain!

Beth, that's a ketchup and a half you have there! Sounds like you had a nice morning. Hope the rest of the day is as peaceful. I'd definitely bring Scott along if we could go in May. He's well versed in the art of hunter-gathering Mickey bars and Dole whips. ;)

Hi Lily!.

JRKaren, ice cream in 40 degree weather. I can't say as I see anything wrong with that. Hope you have a great dinner with your family and a joyous celebration of your mom's life. (Scott will love being tormented in May, I'm sure of it. heehee)

Kristy, I'm a little afraid of how much my books are going to cost. It's not like atmospheric dynamics books have huge printing runs. Publishers have to recover their costs somehow (to say nothing of the kickbacks to the professors - snork). Glad you're feeling better tummy-wise. Hope a relaxing weekend gets you back to 100%. Take care of yourself.

All righty, I'm gonna make some people in the west wonder why they live in the terribly cold place they do. heehee. Talk to you later (maybe in chat, even). Have a good afternoon.

*edited to add a word and (with any luck) some sense - heh

Caroline, I hear you on the headphone thing... really helps me at work ;) Oh I agree, a Yurt definitely out does a tent!!!!

Kristy, actually the sundae was made by TGIFriday's. BUt you can go out and buy Ghiradelli brownie mix and go from there ;)

JRKaren, best wishes to you... I hope this afternoon wasn't too rough on any of you

Pammy, such teh sweetie you are ;) but nice catch there.

I think it is definitely a DQ night for me. Luis said he'd go look at the bathing suits with me. Not sure I am in the mood anymore *sigh*

Ugh....I'm SO bored!!!! I don't know how much longer I can surf the DIS tonight..just not moving fast enough for me. Where is everyone? How can you possibly have a life when I need company? :p :p

Pam  hope your hubby digs himself out of the dog house soon
Elaine bummer on not finding a suit that worked for you. Have you tried the tankini's? A good friend of mine swears by them since she's rather large busted and small on the bottom.
Caroline glad the headphones help you get through the day when working with not so fun people.

Guess we are going out again... he'll check out what I put back.

I do wear tankinis, Kristy... they usually are okay, but they will still be too tight in the chest or way too loose in the stomach at times. The bottoms aren't too bad, but how it hangs from the chest isn't always good if that makes sense.

HOpe you find something good to do, Kristy :)

Kristy Im here. We just got back from a BBall game for my eldest. My youngest played this morning. LOL its been a BBall kinda day.

I did get the grocery shopping done and got everything I needed plus a few extra things we don't normally buy for 143.00 so I dont think I did too badly. Cant figure out how I did it for 80.00 last week though. Oh wait....hmmmmm....I was only buying for four days out of seven so thats probably why. This time I did a full seven day shop. Decided we are going with store brand sodas though because 7.00 for two things of Pepsi is a little extreme. The store brand we have here is pretty good and we can get it in some neat flavors. I don't mind their cola. Im not picky as long as its cold and its cola LOL.

Elaine Im so sorry you are having problems finding a suit. I have the same problem with the chest area when I am thinner. I can get it to fit the bottom but have a lot of problems with the tops. I found a Tankini worked better for me than a whole one piece suit.

Caroline I also long for the day where I can tuck a shirt in, raise my arms, and not have to tuck the shirt back in again ROFL. I thought that only happened to me. Glad work is going well for you and that your headphones are serving you well. I really hope you can make it in May. Im going to try and make it up there and will be bringing the family along so Scott will have adult male company to make Mickey Bar runs with and talk to.

JRKaren my thoughts and prayers are with you today. You know where to find me if you need a friend.

Hi all! :wave2:

Beth, I got my ornaments! :jumping1: They are too cute. :) Thanks again for getting them for me and thanks John for delivering them. :)

Won't be doing Cheesecake Factory after all. :( Going to Damon's tomorrow, instead. :bounce: We'll do CF some Saturday on our own. Talked to my mom to work out the plans and also found out my brother severely sprained his ankle. :(

Welcome home, Lily!

Elaine, hope you can find a bathing suit soon. :)

I just can't get over men sometimes.........I guess I found some trouble today....but not the kind I was really looking for. Greg got a letter from his last living aunt to fond out that she won't be livng too much longer......she has lung cancer and has been advised to contact hospice. Every year Aunt Helen has sent birthday and Christmas cards, with a nice note included. Several years ago she asked him to please send a litte note here and there when he found the time. Do men ever find the time to write? Ever? Well, I always made sure there was a nice note back to Aunt Helen with all the comings and goings on.....what was new with him, the girls and all that jazz.....all he ever had to do was sign it. She of course, thought he wrote them. No biggie. In fact, I always felt good about writting her as Greg, and knew she loved gettting his letters. So, today after getting her letter, I read it before Greg....and tell him he better read the letter...he tells me to just tell him, so I do. I call his brother and ask if he got a letter from Aunt Helen....he did....2 days ago!!! He never bothered to say anything to us about this. What is up with that? Anyway, Greg and I talk about him going to see his aunt. He agrees, he needs to go. Randy of course can't decide, because his wife will make that decision ( that is a story for another day!). So I figured out air, hotel and car for Greg. It looks like he will be going the first weekend in February. So, I tell him he really NEEDS to call his aunt. He sayd he will TOMORROW!! What!! TOMORROW!!!! I gently reminded him he just got a letter from a dying woman and he wants to call her tomorrow.....argh!! So, i guilted him a bit and he just got off the phone with her. She is elated that he is planning on going to see her. He also promised that he will call her a few times during the week. Now I amy have to help him keep up with that one......but I actually think he is quite happy now that he called.

I am sure it was not an easy call to make as he has not seen her in over 20 years. But none the less it is his aunt. So my next question is...what do you get someone who is dying? I thought it would be nice for him to send her a little something, (he has been known to send her flowers on Valentine's Day, with a little help of course) but what? I was thinking maybe a nice comfy nightie and a Chicken Soup for the Soul book, or jammies and some lotion....I am a total jammie person...jamies will always be a perfect gift for me....but what does one send in this situation? She is 80 and still seems to be quite spy, considering. Rumor had it, she was getting around her mobile home park (in Florida) by way scooter just last year...not so sure she is doing that now though. Anyway, any ideas would be greatfully appreciated. Thanks for your help in this....I have no idea what is appropriate..........but I know some of you are going to have the perfect ideas for me!!

If you can't find an answer to something......ask a YaYa.....they will know.

On a lighter side.....Greg and I were getting the cars washed today when he tells me all about this new website he found. It is a BMW bulliten board.....he is going on and on about the chat rooms and the online service people and blah, blah, blah! Well, there was a time not so long ago that I remember getting A LOT of flack about a certain BB I frequently visited!! So I asked him when the next BMW meet was and he just had a HUGE grin on his face. I am not sure this house is ready for 2 BB addictions!!!

Well, this is a total EOIP........thanks for all your help......a few good thoughts, prayers and pixie dust would be appreciated for Aunt Helen, Greg and Randy. I am sure this is gonna be hard on all of them. Thanks..... :grouphug:
