When I saw STacey's question about your group on the CM I just knew I had to join also!!

I'm Paula - from northern Rhode Island - very rural here.

Wife of 25 yrs (this July) to Jeff and mother to Alyssa (senior in HS and Christopher (Sophomore in HS).

Caretaker and companion to :
Fluffy the cat - age: @12
and
Casey the dog (shepard mix) - 5 yrs.

I work full time from home - nights and weekends - the company that I work for provides 24hr/265 days a year maintenace and repairs to retail chain stores nationwide. I supervise the "off hours" staff - there are 8 of us. I have been working for the company for 16 yrs and from home for about 11 yrs.

Hobbies for me are the DIS of course, reading and baking - though I'd like to try scrapbooking. My DH is an avid fisherman,hunter, gardener and makes his own beer and wine.

I'm glad to be a part of this great group!!

p.s.......for my Cabana boys I choose Johnny Depp and Jon Bon Jovi - lol!!!

Paula - my DH and DS are avid hunters and fisherman!! That's where I get the nickname, "Roadkill Mama" from.... although I can truthfully say I've only ever personally picked up 1 roadkill off the highway!

I keep telling my self and my BestFriend (she doesn't belive me anymore) that I am going to start scrapbooking but I never seem to have the time. I always buy all my supplies at great sales and my boast to my BF and she gets so mad cause she never finds the deals I get.

Baking, now that is a tasty subject. I bake alot but I always have to give the stuff anway or else I would gain 500 pounds. DH only has a sweet tooth for chocolate icecream bars. DS only likes Reese.

In my Yahoo groups we swap through snailmail alot of the small things so I always have supplies that you can't get in the USA. I have an overseas partner most of the time, sure I pay more in postage but just think of all the awesome stuff I have to put in my book, when I start one that is..

Yea, I am gunna like it here !!!

Who has a list of those cabana men?? Don't want anyone trying to steal anymore of them You can look, Paula, but no touchy We kind of guard our men pretty closely.

Pam forgot to mention that she is our resident road-kill mama....and she is great fun!!

I do love to bake.....send cookies every week to work with DH.

Oh....the interview went well for Christin today. She will know at the end of the week about the job. They have 25 openings for the sleep-overs. They start the first week in Feb. The groups are mostly scouts and other youth groups.....400-600 of them at a time
The other job looks like it isn't going to happen before spring. Geology is slow this time of year, so they have no openings.
We are however, going apartment hunting Thursday and she will take another minimum wage job for now Ho hum.....

It was good to FINALLY get on and see so many new people paying us a visit.

Kimmie.....is that picture from one of Viggo's movies? Which one?

One last thing and then I will shut up ....for now.

Din Din is made and in the crock for dh to put on at Noon and Im all set up to get ready for work. Tis a GOOD morning......remind me of that when the kids get up and I attempt to get them ready okay??? ROFL

My name is Amanda. I am married to Todd (shep), who was a YaYa before me We will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary in April. I have two DDs, Mandy (7) and Cassie (4). Todd and I work opposite shifts, so we are single parents Monday-Friday. We have 2 cats (Whiskers and Melody). My hobbies are reading, baking and hiking.

Good morning everyone! Bad storms and flooding going on here. Luis called a few minutes ago to make sure I was okay since there was a bad injury accident on the route I take to work. I would guess I missed it as there was hardly anyone out on the road when I left.

Let's see a bit about me... I am the unofficial "baby" of the Ya Yas here... not sure if there are any regulars younger than me, but it's close. I turn 28 just 3 days after your birthday and spending it this year on a cruise down to Mexico. I have been married for 4 years to my husband, Luis, (who posts under coqui now and then) and have 2 cats, Cleo & Gwen, who are spoiled terribly. I'm the Disney Freak in the family (my license plate proves it) and convinced Luis to do DVC this year... best thing ever

Suzanne, I swear after getting up at about 5-5:30 every week day, it's kind of easy now

SSB, The doors never locked, We've got Alabama Alan-better than a security system! Much funnier, too. Just gotta feed him

Oh and yep, Stacy, we get cabana boys... I have Orlando Bloom & Antonio Banderas. I say that Alan (alabamaalan) is also mine, but he was feeling left out so i claimed him... he seems to work hard for Pam in the kitchen too, so I guess we all kind of like having him around But as long as they aren't taken, you can have whomever you want!!

And Paula, hi to you as well!!! Welcome to the group! I am quite envious of you being able to work from home... that would be a dream come true for me!
