So Betty has boy toys on her mind Im sure if we looked hard enough we could definately find some.
Tara it was hard when the boys started going with their dad but they were older than Jarrod. They were 4 and 7 when we split but they didnt have any overnights for atleast a year or so then he was still living in our house so it was a little okay since they were at home. Then finally after the divorce me moved in with his crazy girlfriend--I wasnt to happy about the boys going over there but they liked it because she had a ds their ages.
Now that they are older we are all used it and sometimes its nice to have peace and quiet--especially when those 2 have been fighting with each other.

Betty.........the first week is the hardest part of the kids being gone
DS went to school in Pittsburgh for 2 years.........that's a LONG way from here. I didn't see him from the end of August until Christmas break But that's when I really got into using computers. E-mail was a lifesaver and he probably "talked" to me more than when he was home

DD was so upset when she first went off. None of her good friends were going to the same school. She called home everyday...sometimes more than once. But then she made friends and joined clubs and now loves it and I don't hear from her often.......again computer is the main form of communication (probably because they are on it so much )

Stormy (kitty) should be home Monday. I will call in the morning to check on that. They have to make sure his iodine level is low enough to leave.
Then he will have to forgive us for leaving him there for so long

Oh...I wanted to address the Atkins diet
It certainly isn't for me.....I'm also a carb addict and proud of it. No one takes my chocolate away!!

But it is the only diet that DH has ever been able to stick to and he is doing really well. It takes a lot fo my time (but it's wotth it an dI do like to cook) to cook and plan for it.....of course planning that one and mine plus DD's for a few more weeks does take time.
Anyway, he has been on it since June 2 and has lost 30 pounds. The only time he has trouble sticking to it, is when he travels and he doesn't always get to chose where they eat.

okay well since I preordered 2 movies and a couple of other items I ended up spending $100 so I will actually get 2 reward dollars instead of 1, lol.
But atleast I got a little Christmas shopping done. Got my DC discount and free shipping. So I guess not a bad deal.

Oh Beth about the boys being so spread out, I love it. My oldest is crazy about the 2 little ones. My 13 yr old is hit or miss, lol.

mornin' ladies and gents., can't sleep cause of stupid bird outside my window and stuffy nose that won't let me breathe. So I decided to come check in here.. Hubby can't sleep either....we're just messed up not being able to enjoy our sleep on the WEEKEND!!

So glad to see that Beth is back for a bit...hopefully life will quiet back down soon and you can come play with us more!!

okay.....eyes are still drooping and don't have to be up for church until 9...so going to try for 2 more hours of sleep.

Nancy, I am sure that your baby will forgive you. I know mine hate it when I do things like that (leave them for vets or elsewhere) but they usually forgive quickly... especially if by doing this he will feel better He'll know it was you who helped

Beth- As far as Adkins is concerned. I just Carbed out. I had some chips, cookies, a cupcake, a 16 oz Pepsi, and am now looking at some peanut M&M's

I have to get back on it tomorrow though. DW said she would only take me to WDW in December if I lost some weight. She didn't say how much so I think I will be safe just loosing a pound or 2 . I know I have to do it. With my brother just dying it really sacred me and I know I need to loose some poundage. I just get fed up at times and say "SCREW IT".

Betty---- I know you are having a hard time with your son going off to college. Just tell him that YES, you are 3 hours away, but you know someone who is only 1/2 hour away, and I have mom's back! LOLOLOLOL.

Elaine--- Did you have fun at the Fair? Did you find those deep fried twinkies?

morning yahoo's! i can not believe i'm up so early! Ugh!! the lady i nanny for is supposed to call me to let me know if she needs me today or not she better call soon!

i just found out that my HS reunion (5 year) will be in November! EEEEK!!! i can't imagine seeing those losers, i mean um...classmates again!

Tony, i carbed out of Atkins too. But now i'm doing WW and its so much better! I can eat whatever i want but in small quantities! So far i haven't lost any weight (i joined a few days ago ) but i feel so much healthier than i did on Atkins!!

Tony, I carbed out on Atkins, too. I need to get back on it so I can still fit in my gown at the end of the month. Once you cheat and get off, (for me anyway) it is hard to get back on. We keep going out to eat and then I get screwed up all over again. Today I start up AGAIN and I start exercising again.

You know what though? I feel that there is a diet or a way of eating that works best for everyone. I know Atkins isn't for me for a bunch of reasons. It is for others and that's fine. Just find what works for you.

Did I eat a deep fried twinkie at the fair??? Oh goodness NO!!! Those things are so bad for you anyway, why go and fry them Actually I am not sure I'd like that taste so I didn't even bother looking for them. Only a very unhealthy funnel cake for me
