I'm BAAAAAAAACK!!!

Hopped on for a few minutes...in major withdrawal today. Surgery went well. Pain killers from this morning are still in effect..thank goodness.
I'm telling ya....if I made it through that needle localization thing this morning I can make it through anything!!! Felt like my booby was squished between pavement and a tire(for over 20 minutes)...and in the meantime they stuck a hot poker in it (really it was a couple of needles). I feel for them though....their ears must have hurt once I left I was letting out some serious yells of pain.


so now I'm here....just hanging out. Had planned to watch movies and chill out....but my luck...I'm not in the mood to watch tv or movies right now

Tara.....PD hun....what are those mean doctors going to do to you??

Kristy, glad you are back and that they gave you good drugs!! i don't even like the thought of having mine squished when i get older!! OUCH!!

My surgery is for my endometriosis. They are doing laparsocopy to remove the scar tissue and to take out a cyst on my left ovary. I have such bad periods that aren't helped with meds that if Ididn't want more kids, I'd tell 'em to take the whole kit and kaboodle out!! However, I'm going to wait a few more years before I have them do that.

Good Luck Tara!! I had laproscopic surgery to get pg with my last ds. Yes my family told me I was crazy...I had 3 kids and had to have surgery to get pg with the last one. My fallopian tubes apparently had it pretty rough after #2 and after, lol. One was completely blocked, dr took it out and the other had to have major lasering to get it clear enough for the little egg to sail through and still not have to worry about ectopic pg.
It wasnt really a bad surgery. I did take my pain meds and they helped when I needed them. The only bad thing for me is we have a waterbed and it was a little hard to get out of, lol.
When is your surgery?? We will all be thinking of you and sending you some good vibes.
Kristy sorry hear they were so rough and mean to you Im glad for you that its over.

The boys and I will be at Metallica tomorrow. Its going to be a long day, first of the 4 bands starts at 3pm and Im sure will last well into the night.

Hey Deena! that is funny that you were willing to go through all of that to have more kids!! This is my 3rd time having this surgery. I had it done in 93 and then again in 97. In between I was put on several different bc pills, they didn't work, I was put on Depo Lupron which caused me to be menopausal at age 25. That was fun! I can tell all my older friends exactly what menopause feels like! lol! I was put on Danazol which is a prostate cancer drug. It increases the testoerone in your body. So I started balding and developed a beer belly ( I actually gained 20 pounds in about 6 weeks). So I quit that one too. I was then told I probably couldn't get pg. because the scaring is so bad. So on the pill and unable to concieve, i took an antibiotic....the result is in my sig!! Today is one of the worst days in several months. I finally took a vicodin this morning because I was in so much pain. They have given me plenty of different pms meds and none of them even touch the pain. They gave me the alieve rx and that was about three times the oc dosage and it didn't touch the pain. I feel like i'm four months pregnant right now. Yuck!!!

Anyway, I guess you didn't ask for the life story!! I have this problem with being very open about myself and telling more than most want to know. so please forgive me! My surgery is set for Aug. 19. This is the last bad week before I have surgery!!

Well, I'm going to take more drugs and go to bed.

All that stuff you have gone through really sounds like a major PITA. I hope it gets better for you.
I would like to think Im a cool mom, lol. However when Im yelling go to your room I just somehow dont feel the love
I do try to do some special things for the boys I know they will like since their dad sucks and only does what he likes. However Im also the one all over their butts about school work, chores, etc. so I guess it all evens out.

You definitely have more patience with doctors than I do. Kudo's to you!! Sending lots of PD your way. I hope the surgery goes well. I know what you mean about being so open...I tend to be the same way. Lots of people are like 'TMI...don't want to know"....but others are great.
So I'm up for the day. No major pain....only in my wrist from the darn iv. Put I have plenty of vicodin for that.

Time to get some cereal.

This is the first time i've checked the DIS today. Deena, thanks for the PM. I got it.

Thanks for all the PD on my surgery. I don't worry or think too much about it, until they stick the iv in, then I start wondering "What the heck am I doing here?" hehe But i know it will make me feel better so I just keep that in the back of my mind!

Deena, I understand about trying to compensate for the paternal unit. It's hard to be the only parent. I know my mom had a hard time and she did a wonderful job!
