Just got back from taking DH to the airport. Just wanted to be the first to say Good Morning!

Morning All,

Boy busy weekend. Started packing for our vacation. We leave Friday for Myrtle Beach. It's about a 10 hour drive, but we always stop in NC overnight, so we're fresh for our first full day in Myrtle Beach.

Kristy - hope you're feeling better soon. Put on some Clay. That'll perk you up.

Betty - I'm sure you'll be fine. Definitely have DH take the drive with you. The company will be good for you on the ride home. Wow, it must be great to actually feel like you'll miss your kid when they go to college. Right now, I can't wait for the day they leave. LOL

Can someone please fill me in on Riddle Con? I must be a total loser, because I have no clue what it is???

Boys are going to Cedar Point today with my mom!

Betty, yes, I do have to babysit this morning. Wow! You sure were up early this morning!

Hi Lizzie! Riddle Con was held here in Ohio at Cedar Point. It was a bunch of the Riddle folks (Oldkickers riddle thread) and other DIS'ers, too. We had a really fun time.

...my sis (AspiringCindy) is driving out to Cedar Point on Friday (I believe) and also to 6 Flags out there (?). How were the criowds?? I heard that they have some of the most AWESOME roller coasters around!!

Kimmie - We have a running joke, that If I drive, it takes us 10 hours, if my DH drives then 14.

But 10 hours is what AAA say is total driving time. That doesn't count bathroom stops, food stops, or my favorite "How much longer till we get there - I'm going to kill you if you ask me that one more time" sanity stops.

We'll leave here at about 10am Friday and stop in Rocky Mount by about 6pm.

Lizzie, that sounds like dh and me. He drives so slow sometimes it makes me crazy. And yes I have to admit I do driver the speed limit but geez lets get where we are going, lol.

Hey kimmar I think Im making your chicken tonight. I went out and got all the stuff but just havent had time to do it. Well I probably did have time but Im not much for cooking so I do tend to get lazy in that area. No wonder my poor dh is so skinny

Aww Betty--Im going to fele the same about my kids (if they ever leave ). My oldest is a sophomore this year so I still have a couple of more years to prepare.
Isnt today Rose Mary's first day at her new job?? Hope it goes good for her.

Glad to see that everyone has finally checked in. Deena thanks for reminding me that RoseMary starts her new job. I wish her luck.

Now if I forget anything else you all just nudge me a little and let an Elder Ya Ya know what is going on. I feel so out of touch.....

Deena, I think you are correct! She should be starting her job today. I hope that all is going well for her.

Lizzie, you sound like my mom! if she drives (say its "supposed" to be a 10 hour trip) it'll take 8 hours and if my dad drives it'll take about 14!
