We took the food over to my dad's, Lizzie. Well most of it... it was a good insentive to clean out the fridge (good thing the trash was collected today!!!)

Kim, around here a generator for a house is unheard of... not sure why but it isn't something anyone I know has. Usually we are up and running quicker than 4-5 hours (usually the limit for fridges). But we are also city folk so I am nto sure we'd know how to even run one if we had one in front of us

Thanks for all the well wishes. We haven't heard anything yet about her chest xrays, but she is at the dr. now, so hopefully in the next hour I will hear something. She has really done well considering the week before Thanksgiving they told us she would not live to see the end of 2002 let alone to see Christmas. She started chemo and the dr. can't explain it but by the time they were finished the tumor had gone completly. She is in a total remission. Well, hopefully she still is anyway.

Elaine, sorry your power is still out : ( !! At least you had somewher to take your food. Not the best way to have to clean out the fridge, but it does work. Been there, done that!

CS-along the lines of Lizzie's husbands gift, what about a gift cert. for his favorite golf course or favorite sports thing.

Will ketchup more later since I can't take the still ailing DS outside because of the 106 degree heat index. Dr. office just called and said he does not have a urinary or bladder infection. So still no reason for the fever. UGH!!! He has to get well soon before he becomes a total couch potato!!

Thanks Shep, I'll take the thoughts and let you keep the cool weather. As long as I'm inside and the ac works then I'm a happy camper. I suppose the least I could do would be to do housework, but instead I sit here DISing. Enjoy your cool weather!!

Hi all!!

Not even gonna try to do a ketchup right now, but wanted to say hi

Had a busy weekend. Friends dropped by Saturday morning, and we all took a road trip to Niagara Falls. Totally out of the blue, just jumped in the car and left. LOL Stayed the night at my BIL's mom's house. Ate dinner when we got to Buffalo, then went to see the Falls at night. (We missed them lit up. ). We got back to the house around 2 a.m. Spent Sunday afternoon at the Falls and strip, then left around 4:30. Got stuck in traffic for over an hour. We parted ways with our friends in Cleveland (they live there....we had walkie talkies the whole trip so had fun with those! LOL) then we headed back to Lorain. Stopped at Joe's Crab Shack at 10 for a late dinner, then went home and crashed. We were all exhausted. We had a blast, though.

Yesterday we went to Michigan to the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. Had fun there. Afterwards, we went to a HUGE mall in Auburn Hills and ate at the Rainforest Cafe and then walked around the mall.

Today, we are just staying home! LOL

Kim, it is nice to live close to my dad for that reason. We did have to "train" him at first not to just stop by unexpectedly though

Tara, I think I missed something yesterday since you talked about Chest X-Rays, but I will keep all your family in my prayers regardless.

Hush it Todd, with the nice weather. We have had crap for the last week and we will continue to have crap the rest of this week I am just very tired of the storms and we are in for a big one again tomorrow

Deena, the answer is no you cannot us a gift card for disney $ . We can only take cash, checks and credit cards for disney $. But the cards are good online and in the catalog. You use it similar to a credit card by giving them the code on the back of the card. Unfortunately you cannot use it in the parks either.

Thats what I thought but I head to hear the bad news for myself. I was going to try to do the Disney Visa offer wear if yous pend $100 they will double you reward points. But I dont need $100 worth of stuff--but Disney Dollars would come in handy on our trip. Thanks Tara.

Ahhhh words of comfort, lol. I am getting better its just taking a long time. Im the only one in my house who has been sick for a dang week. Not that I want the boys to be sick by they had a runny nose for 2 or 3 days and that was it.

Anyway I have a 4 hour drive to Dallas on Sunday so I better be better by then. Whats with all the sick people here lately?? Us and family members. DH grandma (in her 80"s) fell in her house last week and broke her hip, her neighbors went in her house when they hadnt see her for a day Anyway looks like she had a heart attack also. They have been waiting to stabilize her to fix her hip and the surgery is today. Dh mom said his grandma's chances werent all the great of making it through the surgery
Hopefully she will do good. She is a tough lady, still active and up til now had been able to still live alone.

Sorry about your electric company. For the rates they change you deserve the best service.
