Welcome to the WISH Biggest Loser 7 Challenge

Workout 45 minute on the treadmill this morning. Still hard to wake up at 5am.

I've been doing really good with eatting. I have an advantage of having a DH that works for Schwan's so I can get a lot of easy to cook low cal meals at employee discounts.

Haven't told anyone other than my DH that I'm trying to change my Health lifestyle. For some reason I feel like if I tell people I have a greater chance of failure. Does anyone else feel this way or am I crazy?

Locker room discussion this morning at the gym. Someone suggested that the participants must get paid while being there or how would the husband/wife teams especially be able to make their bills, mortgage payment, etc. does anyone know if they are paid? It makes sense as not a lot of people who would qualify, who would want to, could afford to go without a paycheck for 102 days on the ranch!

I'm pretty sure they get a stipend's for being there. Big Brother, Survivor, etc. all give stipends to the contestants. I'm not sure how much it is though.

I have always felt the opposite, lol - I feel if I tell someone I have to keep it up so I don't look like a fool, lol!

Ok people - Go listen to Jillian and Bob -

What is it going to take for you to make that change (Jillian yelled this into the TV)!!!

Woo hoo I'm excited!

Bob just yelled at ppl to not eat ice cream while watching the show!

The Biggest Loser is starting right now and I've got the laptop on the couch. It's a good time to do a quick report.

My screen name is Disney, because of course we love Disney! The Fam5 is because I have three sons, ages 16, 14, and 12 so there are five of us. Not too tricky or imaginative, but it works.

It's good to see that so many people are doing well. I'm trying to stick to about 1500 calories and exercise each day. I've been having fun with Dance, Dance Revolution. I'm not really great at it, but the treadmill has seemed so boring lately and the Illinois winters aren't much fun outside! You'd think after 14 years of dance lessons I'd be awesome at this little video game, but my parents might have thrown their money away. I've definitely seen improvement after only three sessions though. I don't know how it compares to the treadmill, but lately I can't wait to get off of that thing. Last night I was only going to do DDR until 6:30, but after I kept doing "one more song" it was 7:10! It's a start.

Hang in there everybody. It's time to go watch BL. :yay:

Wow, for some reason I didn't think I needed to check in on a daily basis, just Fridays for weigh in. Boy did I miss a lot! I like a talkative board.

I decided that the best thing for me was to add my goal on my outlook calendar. It popped up first thing this morning. Great I thought. I looked at it then closed it. I didn't realize that unless I dismiss the entry it pops up every time I log into outlook. Ugh, it was frustrating. So I've decided that every time I first log in to outlook I will move the date up so I see it the next day, but only once a day. Not a great plan I guess.

My screen name is a nickname my brothers used to call me growing up.

I'm doing ok as far as eating. Cereal is chex with dried cranberries. Lunch is salad and a light dinner. I'm having a hard time quitting coke though. I had 1 can of coke only today :cool1: . Yesterday it was 3 cans :headache: . Really have to work on that. I haven't started walking yet. I chased my boys all day yesterday and today and didn't bother to exercise after that.

Yesterday I did my first workout of the challenge!

I did a 25 minute workout on the treadmill after work.

I'm working on getting ready for the Princess 5K on March 7th.

I'm using the couch to 5K program and am liking it so far!!

Keep up the good work everyone!

Well, I've been here before...had some success...some failures...you all know how it goes.;)

But I am back and would like to join the BL7 challenge.:thumbsup2
My goal is 20 pounds for the length of the challenge.

I have not had a chance to read through the thread yet, but will hopefully catch up in the next day or two.

I have a big year ahead - Alaskan cruise in June, My sis-in-law's wedding in November, which I am singing at, and a week long Thanksgiving trip to WDW. So I really need to get some of this extra weight off!!

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Good evening everyone!

Taking a break from watching BL to check in.

Sounds like we had good days. I jogged two miles at lunch and stayed on track with my food.

I went to the store this evening and bought a cute book to log my workouts in. I wish that I had kept track of my mileage etc over the past months building to Disney so I am going to do that this year. Plus I tend to be motivated by "reporting" LOL!

Got to go watch who they throw off the ranch! Talk to you tomorrow!

I am here to report I had a great day... my food was perfect and I did my hour of exercise (need a bit more water to be perfect :rolleyes1 ) But it was a great day.

Hello everyone, today I did good on my food, but didnt exercise as I have been feeling sick all day, but I did walk 30 min yesterday on the treadmil, hopefully it was just today of feeling bad and not for getting sick.

I also watched The BL and it just broke my heart to see the other team mate have to go home, but it is inspiring to know they only had a week on the show and Im sure most of them will make it back.

I was doing well today, and then I got home. I was so freaking tired I took a nap and missed my WI at Weight Watchers. I was starving and ended up going to Ponderosa, which never ends well. I even missed the show because I was so tired I forgot about it. We're in the first week and I'm already feeling discouraged. I don't know if I want to continue with this or not.

Please don't let one day get you so down ... we ALL have those. I totally hear you on the "so tired that you forgot" thing ... I think January is such a tough time on everyone. I've been exhausted lately, and I'm so sick and tired of cold weather and snow. And I thought I was doing pretty well today with my eating, and I slumped back into a very old, very bad habit ... loaf of fresh bread sitting on the counter, and I just ate 2 slices as a bedtime snack. :scared1: I got angry with myself, but then decided that what's done is done, and tomorrow is another day. :thumbsup2

Don't leave us ... we all need each other! Wouldn't it be great if there were as many people posting 12 weeks from now as there has been this week. :goodvibes

See you again tomorrow. ;)

Busy time for me trying to get everything done before the trip. I did pretty good with eating today. Esp breakfast and lunch. I did find something bad and did eat something bad, but not as much as I would previousl have done. I guess I've got to get my mind better programmed and I cannot figure out why I am not full on yet.

I know I'll have tons to catch up on when I get back next Fri. I do WISH it is tons of weight lost too.

Go for it Losers!

Okay so today is the first day of being getting back on track after my vacation. This is the first vacation that I gained wieght but it is also the first time I have gone on vacation since I lost my wieght.

I have been on track with food so far today. I need to stock up on things to take for lunches. I was taking buget gourmets but they aren't very filling and at 250 - 300 not a very good option.

So I am off to do my new in home walking DVD followed by time on the treadmill, while BL is on.

My fellow Edward Lover :lovestruc

Please don't give up - one meal and one day doesn't define you - just pick your self up and move on. Take it one day at a time, you can do it and you are worth it. I have faith you can do it. Get a good night's rest and try to not think of this as a "diet" - its not a diet, it must become a lifestyle change that you learn because diets are just something you go off of. Trust me, I've gained my weight back because I had the i'm on a diet mentality.

 Hang in there

Morning everyone.

Just weighed myself and have lost 2.5lbs already this week. :) Shows just how bad my diet has been over the past weeks!!

I'm finding being back on WW really fun and it makes me feel great. :)

Also have been getting an extra hour's excercise each day, as our roads are so icy (and we have a steep icy driveway!) that I'm haivng to walk 30 minutes to work and back.

Morning WISHer friends and "hi" to all those I haven't met yet. Grammy here -
yes- I need to be among friends and get back into the healthy eating and lifestyle once again. ohMom (my DD) said not too late to "join" so count me in with you!

I am off to tm - so more later - WISHing everyone a great day

Ok so I"m going to need a little extra encouragement today!

At work Wed. are the worst for me because I work 12 hours!!! EEkkk
As of now my plan is to hop on the treadmill after work. I work at a PT facility so the workout equipment is literally staring me down every day! It is time to attack it!

WISH me luck! I'll be thinking of you all today!
