Beth I would be MORE than happy to make you one of those salads. They came out so good!! Nothing like having farm fresh veggies!! I wish there was some way I could make you one at our next Disney meet!!! It is so warm here that I welcome anything that I can make that I dont have to heat up the kitchen for. Its been near 90 here every day this week. I see a lot of salads in our future. My eldest did great with the spinach and the mushrooms and tomatoes. He normally doesnt eat tomatoes but loved these. Littlest was not too sure about the mushrooms but ate most of them. He wasnt crazy about the spinach.

Ohh funny story. I was talking to the kids about what I was going to make for dinner when we were coming out of H&R Block and my eldest said. OOOOOOOO Mom I LOVE Spinach!!!! This lady stopped in her tracks turned to me and said. Now that is one thing I have NEVER heard come out of a kids mouth. She was litterally flabbergasted that my kids eat vegetables!!

Oh, I'll take a salad please. They sound great Karen!

Sherry, prayers and *PD* for DH. That would be great if he could get back on days. Keep us posted sweetie.

And Karen, sorry about the announcment. You keep us posted too.

Beth, I sincerely hope the underwear match your outfits. You know how we Pollacks can be at times.:o

Sumptin' tells me I win the "olders" contest. :teeth: (Marilyn pulls out her motorized walker and sees if there are any takers)

Jodie, have fun with the Scouts tonite.

Where have our bothers been today? Are they out on the golf course together? Shep! You didn't fall in the lake retrieving your ball did you? (Or the club you threw in there?)

Well, dinner time for me YaYa's. Later.

(Karen, I am going to pick up a couple more of Leslie's tapes this weekend)

Karen, cute story. My son has liked spinach since he was little too. I LOVE it...raw or cooked or creamed. Yummy!

OOOOOOOO Mom I LOVE Spinach!!!! This lady stopped in her tracks turned to me and said. Now that is one thing I have NEVER heard come out of a kids mouth.
Never heard it come out of my DH's mouth either!!! LOL!!!! Amazing, isn't it--so many people think they're raising their kids to eat healthy, but if it doesn't come frozen, in a can, a box, or pre-made, they won't touch it! I know a lot of adults like that too! When DH & I got married, I had to break him of the instant potato habit (YUCK!!) He is still amazed that I actually peel potatoes!!

HI MARILYN!!!!

Marilyn I am so happy you like the WOTP tapes!!! They are so great. One of the things I like about her is just about the time Im pooping out she is at the cool down and I know its almost over.

I will keep you all posted on dh's promotion. I just wish he didnt have to wait all weekend. Poor guy is on pins and needles. He REALLY wants this job.

Spinach Is GOOD food for ALL ages!!! :):):)

smiliebiceps

I must admit I got into the habit of using easily prepared foods and my kids got away from fresh stuff. Its been interesting going back but they are doing pretty well with it. Im using much more in the way of fresh veggies and fruits. Found out my youngest is part ape I think. He is a little banana fiend LOL. My kids eat all kinds of weird foods you wouldnt expect a kid to like. My eldests favorite cereal is WHEATIES!!! He asks every so often for the sugary stuff but is just as happy if we buy Wheaties for him. He eats it with NO sugar at all and will snack on it dry if he gets the munchies.

Marilyn I love spinach too especially raw in a salad.

Whew, I knew I loved you guys! We are going to have to do spinach salad at the meet. And I'll bring the champagne so we can celebrate for real!

GP=Mr. Lumpy Butt, just because he likes to tease me about my choice in men. I can't help it GP if I don't like lumpy bumpy muscles. That's why Jodie wasn't too worried when I stole Brad the other night, she knew he really doesn't do much for me. Hey somebody's got to like the scrawny sensitive types!

Something tells me that Mr LB (GP) might just be a M*A*S*H fan after hearing his idea for the picnic. I can't get M*A*S*H here anymore, even in reruns. :(

DD is a butthead tonight!!! Must be the stereo envy! :teeth:

Hey all. Sorry I never got back after the lunch episode. I've been researching cruises. Heard about a new royal caribbean ship going out of port canaveral and was looking at that.

Talked to by brother today. He is doing well, and doesn't think that they will be called back to deploy. He did his part.

Karen, hope dh gets the promo! Got my kids to eat spinach last week. Yummy in a salad!

Who's missing the luggage? Cheetos to the airline.

Where have Jay and Shep been today? I thought golf was tomorrow?

Bonnie, love the stereo story!!

Well, off for now.

Ya Ya's, I have not been able to come up with words for all of you who have lost parents. I am so incredibly incredibly blessed that I still have both my folks (who absolutely dote on Bubble Boy) and both of DH's folks are still with us (they too dote on Bubble Boy, but in that mix, he is Grandchild #13, out of a current 15, with 3 more on the way  )

I feel so badly, and wish I were more eloquent, and had these great words of wisdom, but I don't. So I will just say I'm sorry. :(

Deb, you said it so well. I am also blessed with my parents and my IL's. ((((HUGS)))) to those who are missing theirs.:(

HI ELAINE!!

Deb, your words are wonderful....:D Your feelings come through, that is all that counts.
DD is a butthead tonight!!! Must be the stereo envy!
:teeth: Blast your stereo Bonnie! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Michele, glad your brother is OK.

Hi Elaine!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Love your muscle smiley GP.

DH and I were just talking about the yellow bows and ribbons I saw on trees today. He said "lets do that tomorrow, OK?" Sure!:bounce: :Pinkbounc So I will be going to Hobby Lobby in the morning to get yellow bows and ribbons.:D

Hi Elaine!

I've worried that you were amougst the missing...or I've missed you're posts!

{{HUGS}} to all who have lost their parents......

...I have my own tale about that....that I won't drag you down with about that just now...:( I still have my now 83 year old Mom...and Thank God...she's well both mentally and physically! :)

Oyeeee....any one got any smilie clip art .... that put's it's foot in it's mouth??....I could use it on the "what about my soaps" thread........I guess I'm just a goofus.

I did Marilyn! And it was the music from Fantasmic too, which made her twice as annoyed since she can't stand Disney....:teeth: Man, I can just feel the evil seeping to the surface!!!!

I'm off, see y'all in the morning. I'll draw names for the Easter Exchange and get them to you this weekend.

Marilyn,

I was actually heading to the florist tomorrow for the same thing. I am crafty-challenged, and cannot do the bows myself. But, after 9/11, we put a really pretty stars and strips motif bow on our mailbox post. I am going to head back to the florist, and she if she can do the same thing with the stars and stripes ribbon, with some yellow pieces in it as well.

Bonnie--BLAST that stereo, that's what it's for.

Bubble Boy is a TOTAL grouch tonight. Trying to get him to bed, and he is just in tears but cannot tell me what's up. I think it was a really long week for everyone, him included.

Michele, glad you heard from your brother! And that he is OK. I sent you a PM too.

Hey there. :)

Is that Elaine I see peeking in? Hey there Shirley!

Yearbook is done! 'Course I had absolutely nothing to do with it, the last two days. I sort've needed a little break. I left it in the capable hands of the other two ladies working on it. I checked in w/the receptionist this morning, and it was moments from being shipped. Kind've strange to not be in the middle of the last minute rush. I don't even know what several of the pages even look like! :( Anyway... the main thing is, it's done. Thank you Lord!!

Went to town today.... Monster Boy had a dr. appointment. We then went to Walmart and promptly blew off 150.00 just for the heck of it. Work boots for the guys, three sets of bamboo wind chimes for moi, new bandanas for moi, a new something to sleep in for moi, etc.... then went to Hollywood Video and rented some movies. Gonna be a chick flick weekend at the Kama house.

Betty bought a lime green shirt. I love lime green!! I bought a lime green something at Victorias Secret the other day Betty. Now I need a lime green something to wear over it. :teeth:

Karen, my fingers are crossed for you and DH concerning the job.

Spinach..... yay! Love it!

Bonnie, did you know you can get the first three seasons of MASH on DVD? It's about 35.00 per season. My guys are MASH fiends. :p

Michele, wonderful news about your brother! What a relief for all of you! Wish my cousin's boy was home, but doubt if that will be happening any time soon, now. :(

GP. Glad you still have your Mom and that she is doing well physically and mentally. :D

OK, now I am going over to the soap thread and see if there is any hope to pull GP's foot out of his mouth.:p
