I need other tear jerking/embarrassing things to decorate with. Don't want to just do the tables in orange and black tableclothes, balloons, and streamers.....Need other things.

OK, so what would be a good way to display his K-12 pictures?. Think Ya Yas think!!

He has gone to six schools and five states to achieve his education. Do you think homemade banners with the schools names on them would be weird. Because of so many moves, sharing pictures through the years would be worthless. He can't even remember some of the friends names!!!

What about using some of his past artwork that I have kept?

Also thought about using pictures from high school sports or high school dances.

I also thought about mixing some music. Should it be from the year he was born.(1984 and Thriller to now) or should it be from when he started Kindergarten?

Ladies, I am a stickler for organization and details. I want to do it right. I want him to remember this!

OK, now for a tearing time out. My mom died before Chris started kindergarten and my dad died during the first week of school when he was in 1st grade. These are the times that I really miss my parents. The thought that they never got to see Chris or Allison grow up upset me more than anything that you can imagine. Steve's mom died in 97. She was never close to my kids(another rant for another time) and Chris only has a grandfather left. He really isn't like a grandfather(another story another time) So Chris won't have his grandparents there to dote on him. Two of my four brothers are dead, so I don't have much of my immediate family left, which is why I guess this is so important. We may not be many in numbers but we have all the love in the world. Steve is from a family of 8, but his 5 sisters favor only the sister's children. (learned it from their mom) They treat the 3 brothers children like sh*t. Can't expect them to be too much help. Actually we(DH, DS, DD, and I) have accepted this and know that we can't change them.

OK, on to some important stuff. Did I tell you all that I bought a lime green shirt? Wonder where I could wear it???? Lime is such a huge hot color this year....I saw lime green shorts but just don't want to look like a giant lime. Marilyn puts her arms around Betty and gives her a hug. My son was the first grandchild. Mom died when I was 14. The first time my Dad came to see him I started bawling and couldn't stop. My Dad asked me what was wrong, and I could only sob out that my heart was breaking cause my Mom never got to see or hold DS.

So, we will get our creative juices flowing as a group here and come up with some ideas.

I've been feeling a little under the weather the last couple days..must snap out of it so i can golf tomorrow..

I am sooooooo overwhelmed at work that I have been really cranky today. I snapped at my poor coworker several times. I just feel like Im getting more and more pushed at me with no help to get it done. I have said something to the office manager whos only comment was Well at least you have job security!! Which means no help from her even though my boss suggested I get her to help me. Arrrrrgh. She better not say one thing about my problem children accounts that are not getting done because I have so much transcription and office billing to do.

My Dad never knew either of my kids and Mom died 6 weeks before DS was born. Its a pain that never goes away, and comes raging back full tilt at the strangest times...and you're never ready for it. Friends keep that pain from knocking you flat on your butt....we are always here my friend....anytime.
I haven't forgotten you need ideas...but it seems the LAST time I gave you ideas I got a "potty humor " tag!!! I'll try and keep this one a little more low key. I'm feelin a little under the weather today...absolutely NO big deal...but it is slowing me down a tad. Plus I am getting ready for an invasion of Girl Scouts tonight. After scouts...if I have any energy left at all...I will think about some ideas for ya!!

My dad died while I was pregnant with DS #3. It breaks my heart that he never got to see DS's #3 & #4. DS #1 was 2 1/2 and DS #2 was 1 when he died so they don't remember him. He was such a great grandfather, too.

DF died 9 months later.
I still miss them too. I'm an only child and was very close to them both.

Sherry, Marilyn, Nancy and Jodie, I realize that I am not the only one who has lost a parent but it is so nice to be able to come here and share. Thanks to everyone for trying to cheer me up. Actually, it was a momentary thing and I was better once I had written it.
