Hi all,

My cousin's son just started working for Cutco knives. I was his second sales call (his parents were his first) DW  permitted me to fill out my set, and I let him know that the knives are good (they are a little overpriced, but the quality justifies a good bit of that) Long story short, even though I already have a set, I still gave him a nice order. That company is very aggressive with it's sales pitch.....He was still reading it out of the book. I proved to him that they lied about persuing his customers directly (I have e-mails where they are trying to get me to buy direct, and he said they told him that they didn't sell direct.

At any rate, I have to support his interest in working....

Time for bed now.....Good Night All

Good morning everyone,
Today promises to be a nice day here and guess where I have to spend most of it, in the theatre (the air conditioning is a little dodgy in there at the moment, plus the heat from the 70 lights pointing at us makes it more than a little bit warm!!) We only have 11 days until the show opens and it is so not ready. The chorus have hardly had any rehearsals and so do not know the dances well, but we are spending 4 hours going over them today. The main problem has been people missing rehearsals which is a pain when a lot of the dances require a partner.
Before I go there though I need to do some housework. My SIL and BIL are coming to visit on Tuesday so I need to get the spare room ready for them. We are going to Alton Towers (my favourite rollercoaster park) on Wednesday and my BIL has never been before. I love taking people who have never been before to see their reactions to the rides.
Oh well I should go and do something. The cats are miowing for their breakfast!!
Have a great day everyone.

Hey Danauk I can't wait to hear your opening night report.

I don't even want to think of Ohana's rat problem, my solution nuke them.

Off to DN soccer game, church and not sure what else but just knowing I don't have to go to work tomorrow!

Hi all,

Danauk, you go girl.... Bring your own fan to theatre... Some day I would like to do Alton Towers, Asterix, and of course DLP.... Some day when my son is old enough.....

s&ksmom, the rats have been gone a couple of yours. After I scheduled the exterminator I called RRBB to make sure it was acceptable...

Once again...WE FOUND NO RATS,
(JUST CATS!)
:jumping2:

Good morning :sunny:

ohanafamily - I have a question for you. Have you done the Leave a Legacy at Epcot? The reason why I am asking is because I have seen some DISer's use their picture as their avatar and I want to know if you would know how to do that. We did the girls last year and I would love to have that as my avatar. Please let me know if you know how to do that. Thanks!!

As I'm sitting here I am struggling on what to make for breakfast. Should I make french toast sticks, should I make eggs and cinnamon rolls, should I make cocoa wheats - I just don't know :confused3 . I'm hungry, but have a taste for nothing - I hate it when that happens!!

So my 10th wedding anniversary is coming up on June 3rd :bride: :groom: . I can hardly wait -DH is taking me to Downtown Chicago to spend the night and the girls are going to be split-up between the Grandmas. There's a very large Disney Store downtown that I always look forward to visiting - the girls birthdays are coming up and I can do a little birthday shopping w/o them.

Alright, I better make a decision on breakfast and get going. I also have some inside chores to do before I can head outside today.

Talk to you all later!!!

slo

Hi Everybody.

Ryan nice to see you around!

Ohana I bought a set of those knives in '82 and have NEVER had to have them sharpened!!!! Worth every penny. Same with my Wearever pots and pans purchased in 1969!!! Still use them, only have ever bought assorted brands of non-stick (teflon-like) fry pans since then, which seem to need to be replaced every couple of years.

Well, I went into the office yesterday for 5 1/2 hours, and will probably go back this afternoon. I can't believe how back-logged they were....guess they really need me there. Fortunately my review is later in June, so looks like I have some barganing power ::yes::

OK, gotta get clothes out of the dryer, shower, dress, hit somewhere fun for lunch and go to work.

See ya!

Sorry I wasn't more help...

Yes, the knives are good.....
Hey, is that 6 flags the one with the coaster that spins freely on 2 sides of the track????
We will be there 10/22 to 10/30... If you make it a little earlier we might be able to get together.....

:jumping2:

Good morning guys,

geffric I am envious that you went to six flags great america, I would love to visit there and many other rollercoaster parks in the USA. Which coasters did you ride? Our next big trip after WDW will be to Australia but after that Pete and I intend to do a 3 week rollercoaster tour of the USA and try to hit as many rollercoasters as possible.

slo I forgot to say yesterday that I hope you and your DH have a great anniversary get away trip.

Today in England is a Bank Holiday, basically some old fashioned tradition that the 1st and last Monday in May is a day the banks close and so do many other companies. We have a few more of these throughout the year. We are going over to our best friends later for dinner. As for this morning I need to tidy out my guest room for my SIL and BIL tomorrow.

I guess I should get going, the only problem is that Big Brother started on Friday and I love Big Brother. I don't tend to get too involved with other reality TV shows but I love Big Brother. I keep putting the live streaming on as I am doing the house work! Sad I know!

Have a great day everyone.:flower:

Good morning, my mom brought over some Swiss chocolate yesterday she got on her Swiss Air flight, mmmmmmmmmmm it was so good.

Good morning everyone. We just got back from our morning workout. How about cereal, eggs (any style), toast, juice, and fresh fruit for breakfast. (I'm starving!)

TagBabyIan slept all night in his room last night. He went down so easily and slept for a good 8 hours :) without waking. But :( I missed him and had a hard time falling asleep with him so far away.

Today I think we're going out for breakfast. Then I we'll probably go looking for a new crib. (The one we have up in TagBabyIan's room right now is 14 years old and in really good condition, but I think it got a little warped in storage. Whenever you try to put the rail down or up the whole thing shifts. I'm sure it's just fine but it makes me a bit too nervous that something could happen and I don't want to take any chances with my sweet baby.)

We have a guest bedroom for when you get to Six Flags over Texas...

Good morning all, I think we will all go Hopping to Breakfast this morning...

What page? Were you at one time able to look at your Leave a Legacy online? Unfortunatly the only copy of the picture that I have is the one they send you which is approx. a 1" square. I think I am out of luck :guilty: Thanks for you advice though.

hi SLO - when ya going to downtown? I have a coupon for raspberry chocolate at Ghiradelli's Let me know and I will forward the email to you..

Thanks geffric!! We are going on Sat. June 4th and staying until Sunday afternoon. I'll take you up on that offer for Ghiradelli's - I'll send you a PM with my email address.

slo I forgot to say yesterday that I hope you and your DH have a great anniversary get away trip.

Thanks Danauk - I'm really looking forward to Saturday!! It's so hard to believe that we have been married for 10 years, they went by so fast!! We started dating when we were 16 and he is the only person I dated - so we have really been together for 17 years. He's been my only sweetheart

Well, I better go - I hear BabyKate in the baby monitor. It is currently 8:40am and this is really late for her to have slept. Normally she wakes up at 7:00am - I was able to have an entire cup of coffee in quiet and DIS this morning. I guess it's a sign that she is getting older - which is kinda nice and sad at the same time. I love the age that she is at right now, which is 21 months. There is so much that is new to her right now, that it is exciting to watch her discover things that we take for granted everyday - like seeing airplanes in the sky (which is calls "army's" because she can't say "airplane").

Have a good Memorial Day everyone - the weathers going to be great here, so we are working outside again all day. Talk to you all soon!!

slo

Hey everyone! I'm back now. The trip was okay, it rained A LOT!!!! I had a bunch of great food, though! Nothing really great happened, though, so nothing to report.

Tomorrow I'm going to get up fairly early (8:30... hey, it's the summer!! ;) ) and go workout and get a gift for my one of my best friend's b-day party that's tomorrow night. It should be a bunch of fun! I also have to get To Kill a Mockingbird at the bookstore. We're reading that for english next year. I'm actually looking forward to it.

Danauk, I have no idea about the actual first day of school because I don't want to think about that (I'm sure you know what I mean!), but it is sometime in August. Lol, I know that doesn't help much... but I'll look up the exact date sometime when I'm not to exhausted.

Sorry I didn't read all of the posts, so PD to all who need it and I hope everyone has a good week!

Um, DHS, I would call seeing your Grandma important!!!! I am sure SHE thinks seeing you is important.... (OK ;))
PS, I hope this web link helps...
http://www.lausd.k12.ca.us/Belmont_HS/tkm/

It is a guide to help you get more out of the book and explain all of the stuff I had trouble with. I would read a chapter, then look at the notes (or read the book and go back). I think this site was designed by a teacher...

Oh well, long day at work tomorrow...

:jumping2:

Good morning, TG the kids go back to school today.

DHS To Kill a Mockingbird is a wonderful book. I read it in HS after seeing the movie and it is a true classic.

::yes:: what s&k'smom's said

Danauk we rode all the coaster at 6 flags.. Superman and Batman are my most fav's. I rode Batman about 7 times, Superman 2, Raging Bull 3 times and the rest only once.. When we did the 6 flags in St Louis - the loved the Boss ( rode it 7 times) and Mr Freeze - which is the same as Dejavu at Great America.. and of course Batman.. we are not doing Magic Mountain when we go to LA due to the really bad reviews it has been getting.. but we will ride the Washingtin DC area coasters too. :et me know when you and Pete are coaster riding in the US.. we can meet you at Cedar Point and Great Amercia...

ohanafamily we are stuck on the school schedule and Geoff's school is a different distrist than Eric's for the next 2 years.. so he is Off school - November 11 -14.so if i can make enough $$$ I will take him to WDW. We want to eat ay Boma, Jiko, and Artist Point . While Eric is in School those days.. But Eric is off the entire week of T'giving ..he wants to go skiing with his Dad for a few days..

Ohanafamily, I know she enjoyed it. She had no idea my mom and I as well as my aunt, uncle, and cousin were coming, so she loved the surprise! But I was tired last night, so there's my excuse! ;)

I get to go workout today... woohoo... NOT! I have barely done any physcial activity in 2 weeks. I'll definitely be sore tomorrow! Well, I better get ready to go! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning - or what's left of it - Chocolate Lovers.

TagBabyIan has now spent two nights in his own room. He seems to be sleeping really well in there. Yesterday he woke about 5:15am after going down around 9pm. This morning he didn't get up until after 7am. (We're not sure if he woke and cried himself back to sleep in the middle of the night since the monitor wasn't working.) Now if I could only get him to take naps during the day, too, so he wouldn't be so cranky as the day goes on.

All this talk of roller coasters and parks, really makes me anxious for October to roll around. Well, off to run some errands while a baby is still in a good mood.
