Good evening everyone :wave2: - I worked out in my yard all afternoon today and threw away alot of yard rubbish - dryed leaves, weeds, and twigs. Because the old owners of this house probably didn't do this for the last 4 years :earseek: - it took me all day to just clean up an 1/8 of my yard. I barely made a dent!!! I look around and get exhausted just looking at all the yard rubbish that is still laying around :guilty: . I'll be so proud when it's all done - it probably won't be until August - but I will still be proud!!

geffric - is that a photo of your cat? The cat is very cute - we are all allergic to cats so we don't have any. If this is your cat...what's the cats name?

s&k'smom - so the movie Ray was really good? I do want to see it - is it rated R? I'm always looking for something that is safe for Stephanie to watch with us.

Well...I'm going to go collapse from being outside all day. The fresh air really knocks me out, plus DH has been out of town since Thursday night and I haven't been sleeping very well. He's finally home now, so I will sleep good tonight - I always feel safer when he's home!!

Talk to you all later!!

slo

Hi guys,

Sorry I have been MIA for a while, things here have been busy. This is the first time I have switched my laptop on since I shut it down at work on Friday.

ohanafamily I'm sorry you had to bear the brunt of the office busy bodies latest gossip. People like that really anoy me. My moto is if you can't say something to a persons face, don't say it at all. I have never been to a viewing, so am not sure what advice to offer. PD to you and your friends family at this time though.

DHSsenior007 sorry about your eyes. My SIL gets conjunctivitis all the time (occupational hazzard in the nursery she works in.) I hope you get better soon.

geffric I love the cat picture.

slo I'm glad babyKate is feeling better. Sorry about the mouse. We had a similar problem last year. We live next to a field and the back doors had been left wide open as it was warm. I guess one just wondered in. We managed to catch it under a box though and took it back outside. Our cats being as lazy as they are were of no help what so ever and slept through the whole thing!!

s&k'smom I'm glad you are over your colds. What fun things do you have planned with the kids off school? My SIL and her boyfriend are off school this week and next (they are teachers too.) They are in Egypt at the moment which I am slightly envious yet nervous about. I would love to go to Egypt one day but we figured the political situation is not safe right now and tourist busses keep being targeted by terrorists. I really hope they stay safe.

So on to whyI have been so busy. On Friday I went to the theatre to see some of my friends do a charity show. My friend Martin was amazing. He is so tallented. In September he is going to Central school of speach and drama in London which is one of the best acting schools in the country. This year thry interviewed 2000 people for the 20 places on the course which he was accepted on!! I can see him being a west end or broadway star in a few years time.
The yesterday it was my best friends surprise 40th birthday party. We managed to get him out of the house for the day (actually we got him out of the country as he and Pete went to France for the morning to go shopping - we now have 6 bottles of champagne in the garage!!). So whilst he was out his wife and I decorated the house and prepared the food. We made salads and marinades for the BBQ food. We did discover however that there is a reason our husbands do the BBQ. We couldn't get the things to stay lit!! Luckily one the of the guests was a mean BBQ cook so he took over!! My mum made him an Eeyore birthday cake which he loved. So we all had a great time.
Today though I need to clean the house as it hasn't been done for a few days. Then this afternoon I have a rehearsal at the theatre and then a pre audition workshop for another show I am going to do. Then I guess I should do my school work (which is still in the boot of my car!!)

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning, slo Ray was an amazing movie but there were some sexual references not sex scenes but you know they were lying in bed etc. But there were a lot of drug references showing needles etc. Ray had a really bad drug problem and they didn't blink in showing it but they also showed what he went through to overcome it. What I found good was they showed him as a real person not just the amazing musician he was.

Now as for vacation week I do have to work but I think we are gonna try and go into Boston one day to see the Aquariam and have lunch. Other than that we'll see how the weather holds out.

"Ray" is fantastic! But I really didn't like when they showed up withdrawing (sp?) from the drugs. I don't know, it creeped me out!

My eyes are feeling so much better! They aren't red at all or irritating. I'm happy!

By the way, for all you baseball fans, heck even you non-baseball fans, the movie "Fever Pitch" is really sweet! I absolutely loved it!

MORNING.. been busy this weekend too. Between Scouts, yard work etc.. And the boys ( all of them including the biggest one) were no HELP at all with the work.. seems that they were too tired to do anything but sleep, eat and watch TV Saturday until we left for an Eagle ceremony. Then Sunday was homework.

This week is gonna be very busy too. Eric has tryouts for the talent show so he has rehearsal and then the tryout at 6:15, Scouts at 7, Tuesday Geoff has track meet, cat goes to vets, then of course we have Scout committee meeting , more track meets, more rehearsals. Plus Baseball and Football too so we don't get bored. This weekend , our troop is hosting the Spring Camperee. So the parents have to be at the campgrounds and work Friday through Sunday. And in the mean time, I still am working a full time job, plus cleaning and cooking to get ready for Passover which starts Saturday night. We will rush back Saturday from the camping trip ( 2 hour drive), shower change and be at my brothers for the first sedar, then sunday I need to cook and clean more for the 2nd Sedar..

Thanks for the comments about Tigger..I was trying to see if I could post a picture .. She climbed a tree on Saturday and got stuck on the roof of the house.. guess she forgot about the roof thing from last year. LOL Ususally she just hides in the trees waiting for an unsuspecting bird to landin the tree..

DHSsenior007 glad your eyes are better.

Danauk sounds like a lovely party. Did you take a picture of the cake? It is so fun to read how Pete just zipped over the France to buy Champagne.. wow!!! All we get to do is zip over to the store to buy champagne.. oh well
Danauk what other shows are you working on now?

slo glad you got the yard work done. Doesn't it give you a great sense of accomplishment once it is finished... ( if you get bored you can run over here and help with our little yard..LOL) Next time call me and I can bring the cat over to get your mouse.. she is very good at huntiung. We average about 3 rodents per week brought to our doorstep as a little gift.. This does not count all fo the ones that she gives the neighbors..

Oh well back to work.. talk to ya later

Good Morning all...

geffric, wow you are busy... Yes, the whole Passover thing gets a little busy for us too. We go to San-Antonio to be with DW's sisters (and their Families). We have a Bat Mitzva there over Labor day too... Our Deaf Niece. It should prove an interesting service...

We went to the Car show this weekend, I have been trying to convince RRBB she needs a new car. She will need a "Mommy Type Car in a few years, I hate the radio in her car, I don't fit comfortably in her car, and the Baby seat base keeps leaning over no matter how I try to straighten it. I am pushing her towards a Volvo SUV (Thanks for the accident report cadburysmom) She likes the Toyota Minivan. We also looked at the Cristler Minivans and the Saab...and a whole lot more. I thought the SCION was really cute, and it was suprizingly roomy, but it wasn't built with safety of an infant in mind...

Oh, Our e-mail server is back up finally, RRBB lost her archives. We also lost pictures from one trip, and a loy of the stuff we shrunk to post on the Dis... I will need to take a new picture for my Siggy...

I will leave some Breakfast Waffles (Chocolate of course), and see y'all later...

:jumping2:

Helloooooooooooo !!!!! :sunny:
We are Back from WDW and I have TONS of pictures from the Flower and Garden Show..It was so beautiful... In MY opinion, they added alot more character bushes this year.. We didn't see Davy Jones this year, we accidently saw him last year releasing the butterflies... :flower:
Soarin' was AWESOME!!! exactly like the one in DisneyLand. We rode it twice on Friday..When we tried on Saturday it was shut down..They had problems with it around 11 30 am and then when we tried again, we were at the very front of the line waiting to be let in the door as the next riders and Guess What ..??? yup..the ride was closed down..we waited for 10 - 15 minutes then Disney finally evacuated everyone from the ride.. Oh well at least we rode it on Friday with no problems.. :cheer2:
We even got to see a preview of the new MGM Stunt show...It was cool too. While we were there, Mikey from Orange County Choppers (motorcycle show) was there and did a little skit...We were told it will be included in their show airing May 15th..
On Sunday we used the day to go and explore some New Home Construction sites we have been looking at over the web. We want to buy a condo/townhome or even a regular house.. The one site we looked at was about an hour away from Disney...the Lot itself ( no house) was $415,000.. :earseek: Of course it is on the ocean and golf course in Cinnamon Beach...anyway, DH & I have alot of comparing ideas and notes for which places we liked best..We were too exhausted last night and we were all asleep by 11 pm.. :faint:
The temps were in the 70/80 but there was a chilly wind. We had shorts and tshirts but were glad once that sun went down that we brought along our sweatshirts too... :cold:
Oh yea and Guess What?? I had my 1st, 2nd and 3rd, (not all at in 1 day) Krispy Kreme Donut... :cloud9: They were very good... Still warm even...The hotel we stayed at had them every morning and on Saturday the delivery man was just dropping them off so they were warm outta the boxes.. yummm...
When we were at MGM I bought (m) (m) every shade of purple.. I did notice they had Jelly beans on one side and m&m on the other..

OK so I hope all is well with everyone...have a wonderful day/night...
Hugs to all ... :grouphug:

Welcome back phishgirl sounds like you had an amazing time. Only 3 krispey kremes? Bet I could stuff more into me than that! :goodvibes

Good evening guys,

Welcome back pfishgirl I'm glad you had a great time at WDW. I hope you can post some pictures of the flower and garden festival soon. At DLP they have a really cool Alice in Wonderland maze that I love and I am sure I read somewhere they were doing something to do with Alice in Wonderland at WDW, do you know what they did (if anything.) I think the maze they have at DLP would be a great addition to WDW. I agree that the new stunt show is great too (another thing I saw at DLP last year.)Were any of the the other OCC team there? I love that show!!
This got me thinking. I know a lot of people bad mouth DLP but it does have some great attractions that would be a great addition to WDW. There is a great rollercoaster there based on Indiana Jones. It is a looping rollercoaster a bit like RnRC (only not with a quick start and it is not inside.) The first time I rode it the ride went forwards, but then a few years later they re-did the ride and now the cars go backwards. I love the ride. Also Space Mountain is also a looping rollercoaster which I think is actually a better ride than RnRC. I think changing that to be like the one at DLP would be a great addition to the MK at WDW.

geffric you do seem to have a few busy days ahead. I hope you have a great time doing all the things you have planned. Right now I am working on 2 shows at the theatre, Me and My Girl which we are performing in June and then next weekend we have auditions for Fiddler on the roof which we are performing in October. After that I will be doing a pop music show for charity. We are doing music through the decades as a cabaret style show with music from the 1940's to now. After that I am having a break as I will not be able to do the Christmas show (they are doing Snow White and the 7 dwarves) as I will be in WDW (with the REAL Snow White!!)

I will try to post a picture of the cake my mum made for my best friend. I have a copy on my laptop but I need to upload it onto the internet.

ETA: I uploaded the picture of the Eeyore cake my mum made for my best friend but the site will not allow you to copy the picture directly onto another site. Please click on the link below to see it.

Danauk, beautiful Cake!!!!!

pfishgirl, Welcome back!!! I hope you don't mind but I posted on the Mr. Backs Thread that you saw mikey and that the show will air in May 15th. There are some big Codey fans over there.....

:jumping2:

My God Danauk that cake is absolutely incredible. What a talent your mom has. I don't suppose she'll ship a princess one for DD for her birthday in June?

Hi everyone,
Just dropping by quickly before bed. This thread is so quiet lately. I just dropped by on the other thread to say Hi. I do read as often as I can it but it moves far too quickly and as I don't post on their too often I think my posts get lost in the conversation which is understandable.
I hope everyone here is well. I'll pass on the compliments to my mum about the cake. She is very tallented at them (I wish I was too, but sadly am not!) She really should have done it for a living but she only makes them for friends and close family.

Oh well it is nearly midnight so I should be in bed. My student teacher is in tomorrow observing and teaching all afternoon so I need to be in early to make sure I am ready before she comes in so I can go through her lessons with her before the kids arrive.

Oh I could use chocolate. Starting PMS so hand it over NOW!!!!

Friends, Romans, Country men, Lend me your ears! I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him!

Hey, I had to memorize the first 40 lines of that speech. Woohoo! Goo me! I get to say it tomorrow to the teacher to get 10 extra bonus points for saying it early. I'm proud! Anywho...

Danauk I loved that cake! Your mom does an excellent job!

I don't have much time tonight, so PD to all who need it and congrats to all that did something great!

C-ya later!

Good morning it's gonna be 85 degrees today. Whoo hoo

Good evening everyone,
I'm just dropping by quickly as I have lots to do this evening. I need to get the house cleaned and do some tidying as I am busy tomorrow night and our best friends are coming over on Friday. Then I have guests all day Saturday.

I had some great news today at work. My head teacher is going to recommend me for the payrise so she is ending the paper work off tomorrow. It doesn't come into effect though until the new school year in September though but I am pleased. She told me after school today which cheered me up as we had just played another school at netball and they were the rudest team and coach I have ever met. I see now why other teachers in the area have complained about them. I don't think I will arrange another match with them in the near future. Fortunately my girls were great sports and showed them what manners were.

I hope everyone has a great evening, I'm going to clean the kitchen!

Hey pfishgirl any photos to share yet? I can't wait to see them.
