Hi all,

slo, first of all, PD to BabyKate. I hope she feels a lot better soon. RRBB is doing well, but most of her time is taken up with TagBabyIan. He has the cutest smile... I think I may be a little biased though... They are out getting some sun right now. His room is almost ready, but we will not move him in there until after Passover. She looks great, but is shedding a little!?!

Oh well...guess I had better get back to work...

:jumping2:

ohanafamily - thanks for the PD :wizard: - you'll be happy to know that it is working already. BabyKate has been doing much better since 7:30am and is now drinking about 2 oz of Pedialyte w/o any problem. Well.....I shouldn't say any problem :sad2: , as soon as she's done she screams because she wants more - she's so thirsty :guilty: . When I tell her "not now" she goes and cries by the refrigerator. She's taking another nap now - when she wakes up, we have to go pick Stephanie up from school and then I'm going to try and give her some saltines for a snack. If that stays down, then we are definitly on the road to recovery :)

I'm glad to hear that RRBB is doing well and that TagBabyIan is doing well too. I understand what you are saying about her time being taken up with the baby - it's amazing how much time and energy a tiny little person can be. But.....in the end, there is nothing more rewarding than being a parent.

Talk to you later and thanks again for the PD

slo

QUESTION!!!

Have any of you been to Mickey's Backyard BBQ??? ::MickeyMo

I really want to take the girls in Sept and I have heard mixed reviews here on the boards. If you have gone, please tell me what you think.

Thanks

Hi guys,
Sorry I have been MIA for a while, I'm back to work now and things are hectic. We have had 2 parents evenings this week so I have been home late. Parents evenings are always fun. I get to speak to the parents of the great kids and of those who are bothered. However the parents I really want to speak to don't come. Then you phone to ask them to come in and they either refuse or say they will and then do not. Oh well!!
I guess I should go back and check all the posts since my last visit here.

PD to all those who need it and congratulations to all who have had great news lately.

Hi Danauk - we missed you!!! My neighbor is a teacher and she also says that parents are either really great or a real challenge. It's to bad that parents can be difficult when you, and other teachers, are preparing children for the future. You would think they would be more than cooperative. God Bless you for being a teacher - you have one of the most important jobs in the world!!!

BabyKate is not getting better. I was really hoping she was getting better and then late this afternoon she became worse. Diaherra (spelled wrong I'm sure) and fever - I think she has rotavirus :scared1: She has had this before and then we all got it. I'm just hoping Stephanie doesn't get it. Wish me luck!!

Well, I better be on my way. Talk to you all later.

DHSsenior007, I truly apologize for calling you a "Cheerleader". As far as that bill goes, I heard about it on Fox (after American Idol. I didn't even hear about it on 8 (ABC) which has the Disney programming on it...The Weatherman on Good Morning America keeps sucking up to Ei$ner... I digress, I have no idea about how far it goes. You have mentioned that your mom has gone to Austin a few times for political things; If you think this could be an important issue to you or your school Might I suggest having her look into it for you? It might be a good Mother-Daughter bonding experience... (Isn't this a wholesome post, I am asking a teenager to talk to her mom about whether or not the state will see her school as too risque)

Oh well, see you all around...

:jumping2:

OF, you don't need to apologize! LOL! You can't possibly keep up with everything in MY life, with your life and your new baby's! Anyways, I'm glad to hear that RRBB and Ian are doing well! :) Nice wholesome post... my mom and I talk about a lot of stuff anyway. For some reason I don't hate my parents! But back on topic, we know my school isn't too risque. For one, our drill team director is a strict Baptist (no offense to anyone at all!), so we never really have 'slutty' dances. I remember there was one school we played at a football game last semester, and OMG! That was interesting! Now no offense to anyone at all, I'm not racist, but this school was totally African American. They had security guide us in to the stadium and out of the stadium. All of the spectators had to go through metal detectors, and there dance team was definitely 'risque,' even by some of the more 'loose' girls on my drill team! Anyway...

Slo, I'm sorry to hear about Kate! I sure hope she gets better!

Bye everyone! C-ya tomorrow and have a great evening!

Good morning! It's Friday!! Woohoo! For the drill team sister hunt, I already know who my lil' sister is, but I don't think she knows who I am, so she gets to meet me today! I'm excited! What we have to do so we recognize each other is put on the same thing that I bought her and me. We have these really obnoxious blue hair clips, little bracelets, and blue and pink spotted and striped bandanas.

C-ya later!

Good Morning all, time to rush into work. I sure hope TagBabyIan loves us when he gets to be your age DHSsenior007!!! (and I have more than a few experiences with "Other Sides of Town" lol, one thing though, they are life-lessons, and you never forget them...

OK, for Breakfast I still have some of my Whole Grain CoCoa Puffs to share....

We had a nice relaxing evening last night. I had to run an errand and was home a little late. I held the baby and worked on setting up this computer I have been Playing with...We had Chicken Casserole Suprize for dinner. It was quite good, but Nephosaurus thought that Suprize means "Containing Chocolate". It was a No TV night, we listened to Radio Disney (We're All Ears).

Oh well, I must go to work...
Ciao

:jumping2:

Good morning :wave2: - here I am again, home from work a second day. BabyKate is still not well  and she is just exhausted from all of this.

DHSsenior007 - thanks for the well wishes for BabyKate and have fun today with your new little sister - tell us how it goes.

ohanafamily - it does sound like you had a relaxing evening last night. Stephanie and I listen to Radio Disney too when we are in the car - I have XM Satellite, and it is on there. Is Radio Disney on FM or AM where you live?? Here in the Chicago area, it is on AM and the reception is terrible!!!

I am going to be on my way - the baby is sleeping and I have some things to do around the house. Talk to you all later!!

slo

Hey all,

Radio Disney is on AM 620 here, and we get lousy reception. We were listening to it on a TV Music channel (with the TV off...)....
More PD to BabyKate

Hi everyone,

IT'S FRIDAY!!!! Can you tell I'm glad it's the weekend?

slo how is Kate today? I hope she is feeling better. Thanks for the nice comments about my job. I'm glad we are appreciated by some parents (just not the one who threatened to hit me as his son who was in my class was banned from the football team!! It wasn't even my decision!!)

Well coming home from work today I am happy. The boss told the deputy today that she is taking a term off (at least) and will not be returning after the summer break until Christmas at the earliest!! So hopefully things will get a lot better. Staff moral will go up, changes will be made and the school will be a great place to work in. I will get more responsibility as the deputy will be made acting head and the head of lower school and I will be joint deputy. Oh and I handed my pay rise application in today and the bursar said it had already been put into next years budget so it looks like I will get it. More money for WDW at Christmas :cool1:

DHSsenior007 I hope you had fun with your drill team. When do you guys break up for the summer? I know you break up ages before we do.

Oh well I guess I should get going. Our Disney friends are coming over in half an hour for dinner so I guess I should quickly dust and throw the hoover around (I have only been in from work for 10 minutes.)

Danauk - thank you for asking about Kate - she unfortunatly is not doing any better today :sad2: . She can't break her fever and she doesn't really want to eat - therefore, she is just weak and tired. I'm hoping tomorrow will be a better day.
I can't believe that a parent threatened to hit you - how scary!! :scared1: I'll tell you the same thing that I have always told both of my girls daycare teachers - Whatever you are getting paid, it's not enough!!! I'm glad to hear that you are probably getting your raise next year - you definitly deserve it!!!
Talk to you later!

slo

Danauk, Welcome Back!!!!!!!!

I am so glad that next year you will have an easier time!!!!! (and a pay raise!!!)

I just wish that we would be at WDW during the same time as you!!!!!

:jumping2:

Congrats on the extra $$$ for the mouse.....

I just wish I were going to WDW!

:jumping2:

pfishgirl - thanks for the well wishes for BabyKate.
I'm glad to hear you had a nice anniversary dinner - my 10th anniversary is coming up soon and I can hardly wait for us to spend a night out alone together.
Also.....how awesome that you got that check in the mail  . Something similiar happened to me once and I was so excited too.
Talk to you later!!

Evening everyone,

I am so excited this evening. Our Disney friends came round and we decided to phone WDW again to check on booking tours. We phoned a few weeks ago but the CM told us tours could not be booked until the 90 day window. We thought it was strange or that perhaps it was a different rule with our trip being Christmas week. But then I read a thread on the DIS where people had already booked for Christmas tours. SO we phoned up to check. Anyway, we managed to book our tours for the days we wanted. So we have the backstage magic tour booked for the 23rd December and the segway tour booked for the 27th December.:cool1: I think I have just spent my pay rise!!

ohanafamily I wish I was going to WDW at the same time as you too. I would love to meet you, RRBB and baby Ian.

slo I'm sorry baby Kate isn't doing great today. I hope she is feeling better tomorrow.

pfishgirl how exciting to get money you didn't know you were going to recieve. I am so envious!!

So what do people have planned for the weekend? Tomorrow I am driving up to Leeds to see my parents. It is only a quick visit (except for the 2 hour drive each way and we need to be home for 3pm for a rehearsal!) I need to go though as it is our best friends birthday next weekend and we are having a surprise party for him. My mums hobby is cake decorating so I asked her to make a cake for my friend. He loves Eeyore so my mum made him an Eeyore cake. So I need to go home to pick it up. The party is next weekend and our friend does not suspect a thing. Pete is taking him out for the day so his wife and I can set up. They are going to France for the morning to Calais to a wine warehouse to get some champagne (it is actually cheaper for them to go to France for champagne than it is to buy it here!!). So they are taking the Eurostar and will be home for 6pm.

Oh well, it is 11:40pm here so I guess I should be going to bed.

Have a great evening all.

No problem for the PD, and I send more! Being sick really does stink!

I have XM Radio, too. I love that thing! My whole famliy has it, actually.

My lil' sis is soooo sweet! We only got to talk for about a minute or so, but I'm really glad that I got to meet her! I had bought us blue hair clips for us to wear today, and I know that I was getting some strange looks. They were HUGE! lol!

Have a good evening everyone!

DANAUK, we get out of school on May 27! Today was the end of the second to last 6 weeks of the school year. I can't believe it's already almost over!!

The thing about England's schools is that y'all have tons of breaks! We have 3 day weekends thrown in, a 3 day Thanksgiving break, 2 weeks for Christmas and 1 week for spring break. Speaking of three day weekends, we have one this weekend!! Woohoo!!
