Good morning - welcome to Friday!!! Hope you all had a good week and expecte a GREAT weekend. A little viewing please for all of you.

I was in TX las week at the best quilt show in the world. A sea of quilts and vendors. A bit overwhelming but I'd do it again in a heatbeat.

Rajah; you live in a great area, everyone was friendly and helpful. Hope next time we can get together!

An now the Friday sample

And now for the quilt show. The Best of Show and the winner of $10,000 and the respect of many quilters
This is based on the rivalary between Affirmed and Aladar (sp?) please note the picture includes all of the quilt all the other stuff - flowers, book etc are part of the quilt not "real" items. This was a show stopper and well worth the first prize. It took her three years to do. This is her 3rd horse quilt and the owner of one of the horses has already purchased one of her quilts, I'm sure he'll purchase this one when it's done touring the world.

Wow Denise -- I really like that expression, "Welcome to Friday." It sounds so relaxing and inviting. Thank you.

At the first glance of the quilt, I thought it was just the picture of the horse and I wasn't very impressed. Then when I realized the quilt was the entire picture, WOW! That's incredible! I think I have to go to a quilt show someday! The quilts you show us are amazing! Today's is well worth the prize money and more! I look forward to your threads every Friday. Thank you!
