I want to cry right now. We lost our nice AoA reservations for february due to a super long story. Had to rebook at AsMu. Saved ourselves a lot of money, but my friends are so ticked at me now, because I made things super complicated. Just..... Not a good week. At all..... Is it Christmas yet?

The guy at hotels.com did us a "favor" and waived the extra person charge. When we called to say wait it only says 2 people now, they're like oh. Those rooms don't fit 4 people. We can put you in a suite for 4 for 100 more a night.

Most companies do that now days, once someone was gone they figured they could pay less than the last person. It is so hard in this ecomony. I hope by her saying something doesn't hurt her in the process.

I will keep her in prayer.

What a bunch of jerks!!! Make sure she stands up for herself. Accepting low pay now will only lead to lower pays in the future (employers usually ask for salary history).

Awwww, that is not cool. I hope she is able to prove her point and they work with her on the salary!

Thanks for the good wishes, everyone. She's still in negotiations and doing really well with it - it's so hard to negotiate for yourself! They didn't mind having her question them. And she went in with specific numbers & information, showing them that she did her homework. It does look like it's going to work out a little better for her. She's probably going to take it because it's the start of her career path, so it's worth the risks involved.

There are times I wish she were a little girl again and I could take care of everything for her. But I can't.

It's been said that parenthood is the only relationship in which you actively prepare the other person to leave you. She's leaving, and it's bittersweet. But I am grateful, too, particularly with what's happened recently.

Use someone who can actually fix the problems for you. If you can cancel it I would and make reservations with WDW.

Yeah. Canceled and booked through disney directly. The woman who took my call was a saint because I was like trying not to cry on the phone.

I use to do direct before I found a TA I love... it's easy peasy
