I was told I had pretty blue eyes one time. I haven't had blue eyes since I turned 1 year old.

I don't even know what means. I had to laugh though....

Not only is it a bad "compliment", it was said to me by my Grandmother!! She says whatever comes into her mind...gotta luv her!!

I get backhanded compliments all the time. This "friend" of mine is notorious for them. This one came from her a couple of months ago. She was talking about this friend of hers, and she was saying that she didn't really think that the woman was attractive at all, but she did concede that she might have a certain sex appeal about her. I thought that was about the most underhanded compliment I had heard in I don't know when, when she decided to throw in for good measure "you know, she kind of reminds me of you!"

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, but in the end, considered the source, and decided to laugh.

I have two. In high school a boy once told me that my behind was shaped like a banjo. Whaaat, I was crushed lol. Another time I was told that I had a beautiful neck. I was pretty pround of that until he added that it remind him of a goose neck. Wow, It was kind of hard to have a good self image of my self after that.lol

So, you have a banjo butt and a goose neck? I am ROFL right now with tears streaming down my face. Thanks for starting out my day with a laugh as I'm sure you actually have NONE of those qualities!

My principal once wrote on an evaluation that I had "good dipsticking techniques"........... Thought for a while she was calling me a "dipstick" until she explained that it meant I was using effective questioning methods. Hope the school committee knew what she meant .
