Weird Messages

Has anybody else besides me been getting random blank messages from the DisBoards today?

I know it's not VMK-related, but I was about to ask this question myself. I've gotten 7 of them, 6 of which came in the last 20 minutes. They're all blank emails but say they are from the webmaster. Mal or Lori (or anyone else moderator or admin-wise who may be reading), any idea what's going on?

Well I just checked my email for the dis and..
I got about 50 blank messages.. says it from here and the subject is [none]

with nothing inside them..

Boards crashed today, and it seems the emial I got was to let me know I got a pm...

Could not find phrase 'pmreceived'. Was the title of my email...

Sooooooooo it seems that the auto email system is out of wack.

Ha ha, every time somebody posts on this thread, I get another blank message.

Yes, he is the bomb. I still miss "DisAlex" on VMK who personally took me on a tour and showed me around when I first joined VMK and was totally clueless. Thank you, Alex, for getting me hooked! LOL!

And a BIG thank you for working so hard yesterday and bringing our beloved DIS boards back to us!

I too have been receiving those blank or no pmmessages both yesterday and today.

But as far as the outage.. it wasn't just yesterday. I am a night owl (kinda duck) and I can't begin to count the number of times over the past 3 or 4 nights that I cannot access DIS boards due to outages. One time, after the outage was resolved, it even made me log in again! Talk about trying to find a password I have not had to remember in the 18 months or so I have been on! (Yes I know there is the typical down time every night roughly between 3 - 4 am Eastern) But this has been a much bigger issue than just yesterday daytime for outages.

I also have been getting a LOT of lag in waiting for pages to change or to go between forums. Sometimes I give up the lag is so bad. May I hope this too, is related to whatever is going on with the outages?

I appreciate Alex's working on it.. but could we maybe get a few more to help too - if it would help?

Once- I should be so lucky!

I have to log in every few minutes all day every day since the night we went down to fix the search feature.

I had to do this right after the last major update then Alex fix it and now it is back again.

Talk about frustrating.

I know that Alex is doing everything he can to get the boards running smoothly as quickly as possible.
