I can think of lots of weird facts about myself.
1) I can smell and taste glass. In all my life I've only ever met one other person who can smell glass. I can't drink from glasses unless it's with a straw because they are so nasty...I have to drink out of plastic containers. If you're curious at all, glass smells exactly like farts...sort of sulphery. Gross beyond words. If you don't smell it, you're very lucky.
2) When I moved from Ohio where they refer to carbonated beverages as pop, to Washington State where they refer to carbonated beverages as soda, I didn't know what to call the stuff! Soda seemed so bizarre after calling it pop for 23 years. I started refering to it as my morning motivation (the caffeine motivates me and I can't start my day until I've had it!). My favorite is cherry motivation. I have gotten so used to calling my cherry coke cherry motivation that sometimes when I go to a restaurant I forget where I'm at and I ask for cherry motivation. Needless to say, I always get these kinds of looks...
3) If I could visit one fictional place, it would be Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I'm totally enthralled by Harry Potter and friends!
4) I'm so obsessed with Indigo Girls (my favorite band) that I go on the road for weeks at a time following them around the West coast. I've been to over 30 shows in the last four years. I always photograph the shows...and even got my pictures published in Curve magazine.
5) The sound of somebody scooting across carpeting is like nails on a chalkboard to me. I don't know why...it just drives me crazy. It literally makes me feel nauseated.
6) I work at home as a web designer and I swear, I can't work unless everything in my office is just right. If anything is out of place, I have to fix it or else I can't think.
7) I am terrified of ants. I don't mind them when they're outside but I freak when I see one in the house. It's not the ant as much as what they do...they get on you. You know? They invade your personal space, and that is SO wrong.
8) I felt cheated in college because I wanted to major in so many things. I really wanted it all...every single class the university had to offer. By the time I settled for a double major in biology and pyschology, I graduated with over 350 credits. I'm now taking correspondance courses in computer technology. I think I'll probably take some kind of class til the day I drop dead from it.
9) I have a psychic bond with my best friend in Ohio. I always know when she's going to call, and I always know when she's in trouble...and it goes both ways. Whenever I need her and start to call her, the phone rings. 2,500 miles and ten years apart hasn't lessened that connection.
How's all that for weird?
