Yesterday, I decided to rent a DVD. I never do this--never really have time to sit and watch a movie. But, DH and my son are out of town so I have a lot of "me" time. :teeth:

I go to Hollywood Video and decide to rent "Thumbsucker." (Don't ask).

I load it in the DVD. The "loading" sign comes up, the "play" sign then comes, up, and finally the word "menu" comes up. Yet, the movie doesn't play and all I get is the screen that is there before your movie comes on. It says "Sony DVD/Video."

So, I take it to the DVD player upstairs. Same thing.

So, I put in a few of our home DVDs and they all work. No big deal, I think. I've got a bad DVD.

Today I return it Hollywood Video and explain it. The girl looks at me like I have 3 heads and says "are you sure your DVD player is working properly." Yes, I tell her. She gives me a new one.

I bring it home and, guess what, same problem. :confused3 :confused3

We've rented plenty of DVDs before and never had this type of problem. I cannot believe that ALL of their "Thumbsucker" DVDs are blank. And no one else has complained?

Ever heard of something like this?
