Weird Aulani Mattress Question

Ok this is going to sound really weird but for anyone going to Aulani in January (or soon), can you please look at the king mattress in the room and post (or PM) what brand/manufacturer/type of mattress it is?

I have shoulder problems and realized that I never felt any type of shoulder pain on vacation, whereas the minute I got home I started getting sore again on my own mattress. We've been looking to replace our mattress for some time now, and thought we might as well figure out which bed Aulani uses

I can't tell you the manufacturer but I agree - the beds are amazingly comfortable! I hope someone going to Aulani soon can help you out.

Something else to think about - it may fully (or partially) be the pillows you are using. 3-4 years ago I started having terrible shoulder pain and even getting numbness in my arm. I thought it was the fault of our newer pillow top bed but my doctor suggested changing pillows. A buckwheat filled one was recommended b/c you can completely adjust it. It's a different type of pillow to use compared to a feather or other softer pillows but voila - arm and should pain gone. We kept the bed and my masseuse had one less weekly customer.

I'll look into it, thanks! I've had this problem for years...and the mattress I have used to be firm enough for it..but now it's kinda saggy which is a disappointment as it's supposed to be super nice one. Oh well, live and learn.

Our mattress had been quite good at first too but it started sagging. Made me wish for the cheapo rock we had got rid of! I don't know but guess that it put more of an angle on the upper part of my body which is why the buckwheat pillow that both provides lots of support but is also quite moveable helped. Whatever it was it was a god send. Hope you find something too!

I just bought the gel pillows from the Disney Resort Collection last week (there was a catalog in my room) after a great stay at the Tree House Villas at SSR. I really love them and they were delivered very quickly. I have never seen them or used them except at Disney (I stay at a lot of hotels for business).

What! I've never heard of either the gel pillows or the catalog! Gotta check it out, thanks for the tip!

Just a thought - call the hotel concierge and ask them! You might want to mention that you stayed at the hotel recently and would like more information about the mattress. I did the same at a hotel we stayed at in California and the concierge was very helpful. Good Luck!

I also inquired about this a few months ago, and someone was kind enough to look for me while she was there. The mattress is a Posturpedic Monogram Series 600 plush euro pillowtop.

Just know that Disney and most all large hotel chains get mattresses made specifically for hotel use.

You may be able to find something similar or Disney may be selling them in their Disney collection or you might them online but very unlikely you will find them in a local store.
