Good morning Lean Meaners! Such a positive vibe going on here!
Maria, we missed you, and I am so glad to have you back! (((in more ways than one!)))) You have your mojo back, and I feel the good vibes from you. You know what? 200 is just a number......and one you can overcome easily!!! I remember that number.....it was my nemasis for a long time. Once I came below that number, there was no looking back. The one promise I made myself was never to see that number again. That one I have kept.....barely, but I kept it! You will too. And there is nothing for you to feel bad about. Life throws us alot to deal with, and the last thing you need to worry about is where you are now. Don't worry, you will get past it and will so much better. Today is the beginning of a new mindset. One day at a time, is what I say!
I truely am inspired by the motivation we give each other. It's such a difficult fight, day in and day out. The only ones who understand, is the one fighting the battle. It's a battle like no other. It can feel defeating at times. But, if you make a slow progress day to day (that is not just physicial, but also mental) you are winning the battle. The scale does not need to go down for there to be success. The success is the mental game. Read Maria's post above.......that is success! The number is no different on the scale, but the outlook and determination is leaping off the page. That's what it's about!
This little BL challenge is to impower you. It's to give you the tools to get all those good habits in place. It's to give you the control. Food doesn't have the control over us, we do. I am not saying we are always perfect.......my eating on Saturday is an example. I was physically hungery, but also in need of feeding my 'needs'. I didn't do well yesterday. Plain and simple, I ate to much. Do I feel bad?.....maybe a little, but I am also back in the game today. I am not looking back. I have lost alot of weight, I know how to do it. But, we have those days.......those days we need to be 'off' plan. Take the day (or meal, or moment) have what you need, and than right back at it. It's the one thing I am learning in my old age. I haven't 'ruined' anything. I ate to much...... big deal. I can now choose better today. You all can too. Yesterday doesn't matter anymore.....it's all about TODAY!
Get rid of the negative thinking......We are all good enough to be healthy! We all deserve to lose weight, and it doesn't matter at what speed it comes off, as long as it comes off. We all have the time, it's what we do with the time that matters!
This healthy lifestyle takes so much time and effort. We have to plan everything......the time to exercise, meals, having healthy food in the house to fix, etc. Take short cuts when you can! Those precut veggies are more expensive, but when time is running short.....I will chose them. I don't have the money to 'throw' away, but if it's a matter of saving a few cents and getting my workout in.......I'll chose the precut veggies! I'll use a few coupons to make up for it!
There are days I don't know where I will get the time to get everything done. I always have a million things to do...... you all know what I mean. You are all there with me. That's why I 'create' time. I get up at 5:30 am to get my 5 mile run in before work. I do miss the sleep sometimes, but it is more important to get my exercise in. We all have time that we can 'create' time. My kids baseball practice was another. I am there waiting for them anyway......I just dress to run! They are practicing for an hour and half....there is my exercise time. There are so many other mothers there complaining that they don't have the time to exercise (believe me, they complain!) They are heavy, and out of shape. They say they are too tired to get out and walk during practice.....they have worked all day! Just an excuse.....I have worked all day too, but I have to get it done anyway. It gives back in so many ways, especially the energy I get from my run.
I know this is long and rambling, but I just wanted to share some things I have been thinking! Hope it helps!
