I just read on another site that during off times you can rent a campsite for a weekly rate rather than a nightly rate. Has anyone heard of this or done this?

Other than the Winter Settlers rate that was retired a couple of years ago I have never heard of a long term rate at FW

The Disney definition of a weekly rate is:

Nightly rate X 7 nights = Weekly rate

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I have not heard of a weekly rate at WDW unless you book a package and then they will tell you how much it is for the week. It's not really a weekly rate. Like the previous posted said, FW did have a winter settlers rate for stays of 3 weeks or more during January and the beginning of February. That's gone now.
