Weekend vs. Weekdays in the summer

In the summer are weekends still more crowded then the weekdays?

I've always considered the week-ends good park days and actually plan my trip around that. I figure the travelers are "traveling" to and from, and I don't know how many locals go out on summer week-ends to WDW.

Most of the parks aren't too bad on week-ends. The only one I avoid is MK on Saturdays. It is just too much of a zoo. The water parks tend to be crowded also.

We were at MGM Saturday 6/5 and MK Sunday 6/6. They were not bad at all. On Saturday, we actually left the park about an hour before closing, which we never do, because we had done everything we cared to do including several rides on TOT and RNR. Sunday at MK we did EMH and had done six major attractions by 10:00 am. We hopped over to EPCOT for lunch and then back to MK right as the afternoon parade was ending. Many people were leaving and the crowds thinned even more during a brief rain shower that followed. That was probably our best park day, which really surprised me since it was a weekend. Just avoid MK on Saturday and you should be fine.
