Weekend rates?

I had heard about Disney implementing weekend rates, but when I look on mousesavers and wdwinfo it only appears to be for peak season. If I am planning to go during "Regular" season, are there premiums for Friday and Saturday nights? If so, where do I find this info online?

Thanks!

Ok, dumb question, but how do I find Weekend rates for May on here? I"m looking at the Contemporary and don't see it. :confused3 Thanks!

Each resort, even in the same category, can vary by season dates and rates, weekday v. weekend.

I only see a weekend rate for the Contemporary during peak season. Going to WDW reservation site and clicking in dates for a two week stay mid-May as a room only reservation, I get one rate for each night. No change for Memorial day either.

That's what has me confused. I was expecting weekend rates, a new TA I thought I might work with quoted me something high b/c of weekend rates, but I can't find the documented weekend rack rate anywhere. I like to comparison shop and confirm numbers that I receive. Argh.

Prices should not change. You can always find the rack rate just by getting a quote online at Disney's site. If you do a room only, you'll get the day by day quote for your room. As you know, rates are also listed on Mouse Savers, and then WDW Info and a million other fan sites.

You do know that there is the 4/3 deal available in May? You don't have to stay 7 days. The deal is really buy at least 4 but no more than 10 and get up to 3 free. If you're a member, you can see about a AAA rate too. If you're military, there is a discount for mods during part of May.

I am actually looking at May 2010. I wanted to try out a TA since I missed the boat on discounts for our last trip and was hopeful a Disney specialist would be more on top of things. But the two different companies I've requested quotes from are failing my request that I could do through CRO no problem.

I'll play around on the disney site again to see if I can figure out the rack rates. Last time it gave me an insane rate.

Thanks everyone.

Ah, that explains it a little more. Rates for 2010 are not out yet. Therefore, what Disney does is charge you for the highest season in 2009 and then adjusts the rate after the rates (and seasons) are released. That will give you weekday and weekend rates at a higher rate than what you would be paying anyhow.

I do have to say, when it comes to Disney, I have had no luck with TAs--even Disney specialist ones, but I know a lot about Disney.

Makes sense now! I may try and find time b/w meetings today to sit on the phone and deal with the CRO. Time to do that has been next to impossible as of late and why I prefer online/email while I'm on work calls.

Working with a TA honestly has me a bit apprehensive. I may cover my bases and do 2 different reservations for 2 different times since we are *very* flexible when we go. I just know that many folks last December got discounts through their TA's but by the time I got onto disboards to see the new discount and called in (6-48 hours later), my resort was booked up. With a new job coming next summer I know my web time will be hard to come by so was hoping a TA will do the discount work for me :) We'll see.

Thanks for your help!
