Weekend points? for DVC experts

Hi,

I have 286 WLV points to use next May and am planning a trip for 2 adults and five kids. But, I can't work out how best to use these points. We are planning to stay 4 nights at Vero and 11 nights Disney. At the moment I've got it worked out at - pay cash for the first four nights at Vero and use points for a four night stay at BCV then points for 7 nights WLV, renting the extra points from a member. Would this be the best way to go? I know I could probably get a cash ressie cheaper for the weekend nights, but would these be available this far out? And could anyone work out a better way to do this? Your expert advice is appreciated. Thank you. (sorry - meant to stay, hoping to stay in two bedroom villas)

okay I would go with 2 inn rooms at VB you can get a guaranteed ocean view in the Inn Rooms - the villa part won't guaranteed anything.

is your BCV stay then immediately a VWL stay?

that is alot of moving with 5 kids. I won't and I like to move. but moving with kids can be a big pain!!!

how about going with OKW for the entire trip. a May trip for a 7 days would be 263 points in a 2-bedroom. (this includes the weekend)

So I would go with the Inn rooms using point 8 points (garden view) - so for 4 nights 2 rooms - I am assuming you are arriving on Sat - 71 points - if you get a cash reservation for Sat -then 48 points.

sat-sun-mon-tues- arriving Wed at WDW - Wed & thurs at beach club - 64 points then go to OKW on Fri to Fri - 263 points or stay the entire time at OKW for 317 points.

You can get a cash reservation at anytime - I would definitely try that route first. If MS doesn't have any rooms for members. THen I would go through CRO and use my AAA discount (if you have one).

you can do the plan above for 365 points. can you borrow from 2007?

or you can pay cash for fri/sat stay at WDW, do VB totals on points (2 inn rooms) 94 points
then 2 days at OKW 54 points, then after the weekend where you are paying cash - 135 points

sat - VB - 23*2 = 46
sun - vb - 8 * 2 = 16
mon - vb - 8*2 = 16
tues - vb - 8 * 2 = 16
wed - OKW - 27
thurs - OKW - 27
fri - cash OKW
sat - cash OKW
sun - OKW 27
mon - okw 27
tues - okw 27
wed - okw 27

Your best bet would likely be to get cash reservations for the 4 or 5 nights you wouldn't have points for assuming you covered the nights in question. You still might have to rent a few points or pay for one extra night with cash. But that way you wouldn't have to move at all extra and it would be the cheapest option short of II exchanges or renting distressed points.
