Weekend crowds in May as to Jan/Feb?

Hi All,

My DH and I are considering taking my stepdaughter for her first Disney trip- she is 7 in June...we were wondering how the crowds would be on a weekend in May? Would they be much much greater than end of Jan/Feb? In another thread it was mentioned that there is the possibility of Star Wars opening as well as The Little Mermaid...these aside, is May much busier?

Also, I know I read somewhere to try to avoid any weekend- are weekends in the offseason times quite a lot busier?

May is pretty empty; it gets more crowded the later you get into May, but still nothing busy until right before Memorial Day weekend.

Star Tours II and Little Mermaid should both be soft-opened by then, but that can change.

I am going at the beginning of may.. easter and a bit after are crazy as well as the end of the spring breaks.. I have gone a lot of times in may and the crowd levels are do-able.. Like PP said, the later you get in may the busier and it looks as if the end of May is when the star wars weekends are.. The weather in May is great too.. Nice and hot..

May is pretty doable. But Jan. and Feb. are much better crowd-wise.
