weekend away.

DH and I are hoping to grab a weekend away just the two of us in a few weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions of nice hotels/B&Bs that they have stayed in; we don't really mind where we go, just want to relax!

What about Birmingham Verity, not too far and loads to do

I would suggest Birmingham too Verity. The Ramada at the Mailbox is nice (where we're holding the Girly Weekend), so you could just relax next to the canal and have a nice meal, or take a five minute wander into town for a bit of shopping

Saunton Sands in Devon was nice, over-looking the beach, very quiet and had nice leisure facilities.

DW and myself went to Ragdale Hall for a weekend a couple of months ago. If all you want to do is relax then this is definately the place to do it.

I won't go into too many details as everything is in the link above, but we had a thoroughly chilled time spending the days in our supplied robes, going from one massage/facial/pedicure/sauna/jaccuzzi to another
The food is first class - breakfast delivered to the room each morning, a buffet lunch and table service dinner. Some guests were getting dressed up for dinner while others came down in their robes. You are encouraged to do whatever you want to help get the most out of your stay

I had never done anything like this before so was a bit cautious at first - but once I saw how everyone else was getting on I quickly got the hang of it.

Tony and Theresa had a lovely weekend away at a place just outside Oxford for Tony's Birthday in March - can't remember the name of the place but it looked fab! He did a mini trippy so you might find it if you have a look - or maybe Tony himself can let you know where they stayed.
