I put in a request for Toy Story. I know they aren't guaranteed either but we will see.

This trip had to be fairly inexpensive and short since we will have just been there in October.

Hey!! No fair!! I wanted Toy Story, too, but it's my ds's and dh's b'days so I bow to their Birthday Prince wishes!! :worship: Plus my mother is going and she also likes the Dalmatians.

We are planning for Nov 27th - Dec 4th, too. I'll be celebrating my birthday the 29th. Can't think of a better way to celebrate.

It will be our first trip during the holidays. Needless to say, I'm crazed with planning and can't wait.

<wail> That sounds so far away! I've purposely not gotten a trip counter because it's just too depressing to see that high of a number. LOL

Sorry, I didn't mean to get you depressed :sad2:

We started counting at 321, so 247 is looking pretty good to us :3dglasses

We're just so excited to get under 200 - then we need to hurry up and get our itinerary set and PS's planned out for when we get to 90 days out. So much to do, and so little time! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Does anyone have any sort of schedule set up yet? Pffft who am I asking? Of course you do, we're all planning geeks that's why we're here. ROFL

This is what ours looks like so far but of course it's subject to change if Disney changes what it looks like the late EMH hours are going to be:
Sat. Nov 26. Arrive at ASSports around noon. Check in, eat at food court, take first bus that comes and head to a park, if it's Epcot or MK hop on monorail and switch to do a tour of monorail resorts, if it's AK or MGM hop on first bus to monorail resort that comes and do tour. Back to Sports to eat dinner and swim if it's warm enough.

Sun. Nov 27. Dd's birthday, getting up early and taking cab to check in at WL, MGM 9 to 1:30ish, eating lunch in park. Rest up at WL, 4:00ish boat to MK hopefully have dinner at CRT around 5:45, 7:00 til? MVMCP.

Monday Nov 28th Free morning, maybe swim, probably sleep in. Lunch either at Roaring Forks or possibly counter service at Epcot depending on how early we get moving after the late night. Dinner at various WS counter service. Illuminations.

Tuesday Nov 29th Head over to Fort Wilderness to check out petting zoo and explore a little. Lunch at Whispering Canyon. MGM afternoon and evening. Fantasmic!

Wednesday Nov 30 (This is contingent on it being late EMH at MK) Epcot or MGM in the morning, counter service lunch somewhere. Hopefully swim, if not just relax around WL, 4:00ish head to MK, eat dinner at LTT, stay til close or til we're worn out.

Thursday Dec 1 Epcot when we get up, lunch at some counter service either there or Roaring Forks before we leave WL. Dinner at Akershus. Possibly Illuminations again, possibly head back to WL to see water parade or go to Fort Wilderness for the campfire.

Friday Dec 2 DAK 9 until we're done. Lunch at Flame Tree or Pizzafari. Dinner at O'hana. Don't know after that, possibly do some shopping at DTD.

Saturday Dec 3. Check out of WL <sniff> Depending on airfare either have luggage sent to Pop or store with Bell Services preparing to leave for airport later. Breakfast at Chef Mickey's then redo things we want to see again. If leaving that day head back to WL around 3 for airport pickup if staying until tomorrow morning dinner will be counter service at whichever park we're in around dinner time.

Minerva, my dear, you are SET! You're way ahead of me. We are still planning on how to pay the balance on our trip! ;)

Just kidding, but all I have set is the day we will go to MVMCP and places I would like to make PSs - but no set days, times, rides, etc.

I'm thinking I'll really have to get into that this summer while the kids are outside in the pool. I'll come out and sit in the sun with my planning materials - Ahhhh, cant wait! I just have to make sure I don't get so involved that I stop paying attention to the kids in the pool!!! :confused3

We are going Nov 29- Dec 6 and staying at the WL. It's our first trip back since our Honeymoon at the Poly 10 years ago. It's also my kids first trip to WDW. I can't wait to spend the Christmas holidays in the middle of all the MAGIC!!! I can't think of a more wonderful way to celebrate. We are so excited and will do MVMCP while there.

Lots of us going to the World that week from New England, it seems!

We should do a meet!

Great! Maybe I'll meet someone from back home (my body's down here in Texas, but my heart's still in Massachusetts). Spending 11/27-12/1 at BCV solo, after 11/19-11/26 with DH and DMIL at OKW.

We're planning for Nov 27-Dec 4...just trying to finalize with hubby and how we're going to pay for it (i.e. tax return!!). Never been this time of year before, always May or Sept, but last year we hit post hurricane and the heat nearly killed us, so I decided November/December from now on!!! We'll be staying at ASMo, Toy Story hopefully. Never stayed at a Value resort before, always CBR or CSR, but this trip has to be a budget trip. I'm pretty happy with the CAA rate of $61/night. Anyone get a better rate? We're going to buy 10 day MYW, hopping, no exp. and then we'll have days left for the next trip in 2010! DS will still be under 3 for this trip, thank goodness, so he'll still be free. Not sure about MVMCP, but we'll definitely do CP breakfast again. Hoping for nice weather, just warm enough to swim in the afternoon.

See you all there!!

LOL I used the cold winter to do the planning. It's no good for anything else and I got to dream that I was in Disney instead of facing the reality that outside my door it was COLD!

We're at the park Nov. 27 through Dec. 18th. One week at the BCV, one week at the VWL, and one week still yet to be determined (we reserved a Ft. Wilderness campground, just in case.) We'll be five months into our year-long trip around North America, and I figure the kids will need a chance to stretch out and run around (we booked 2 BRs at both HAHs.) So where should we book that last week? Split it between AKL and GF? What about Saratoga? Which concierge rooms can fit 5 plus an under 3? I feel like a kid in a candy store ;)

Decisions, decisions. I have to say, however, I love the idea of not having any time pressure. Since we're writing a travel book, time really isn't an issue, but I've never been to Disney where I haven't felt like there was too much to do and too little time.

Due to DH's horrid vacation time (a whopping five days, no sick time) we're going from Nov. 25th - 29th. I know, I know, so not ideal, but hey....anytime spent at the World is better than nothing right?

It'll also be our 3yo's first trip! :Pinkbounc I'm still trying to figure out what to do on what day....not easy in four and a half days :guilty: but it's the time we could get. I'm hoping by staying at AKL it'll make up for some of the magic for DS, my little animal freak! Any advice??

That is so incredibly exciting! What kind of book are you guys writing? I always thought I would LOVE to write a US with kids travel book - and here you are living it! Is it great or do you get to missing home?

Good luck!

The book is on travelling with special needs kids, in particular, those with "invisible" or neurological disabilities. We have two sons who are autistic (and two daughters who are neurologically typical), and we saw the opportunity present itself, and just took it.

We don't leave for two months (June 1st), but preparatons are getting more intense. We still haven't settled on a travel trailer (I looked at more today), and we need to hurry up, as we have to have a two-way satellite installed before leaving (DH works for a local university and will be "remoting" for the year.) The house goes onto the market next week, if I can get that final coat of paint on this weekend. Ugh. So much to do, but all for a great cause.

We'e only making solid reservations in Florida at this point. Most other places we'll camp at national forests or state parks. But I really wanted a few weeks in WD, and we al know the preparation that entails ;).

You can follow our exploits on our blog. I haven't posted for a week as I'm still awaiting the return of my PC (my husband's use an alien operating sysem, Unix) but will catch up hopefully soon.

We will be there 11/26/27-12/4 I would like to arrive Sat late afternoon early evening so we have a full day on Sunday. Our res are for 11/27 - 12/4, may stay close to airport on Sat night. We will see.

This has been my favorite week since our first time 10+ years ago!

Count me in also. This time of year has to be better than August!! And hopefully there wont be any rogue hurriccanes. :crazy2: :earseek:

I like your plans. Mine are nearly as meticulous already; I'll post them tomorrow morning since I should already be in bed right now! :teeth:

Well then, it seems we may be having dinner together that night! My dh is adamant that his b'day dinner be at Akershus, and his b'day is Dec. 1st! How cool, huh? We'll be the all-blond family with the toddler. :sunny:

We'll be there 11/24-12/3, 6 nights at CSR and 3 nights at BWV. Celebrating my 40th birthday on the 30th.
