Week of November 27th??

Another New Englander here. More snow coming tomorrow!

Am planning a solo trip November 26 (room only!) and then the 27th until the 1st all at the WL. My family is so understanding about me needing some time alone. I have a wonderful husband and kids. WDW is the perfect place for some R and R! :goodvibes

See you all there!

Love those Sox and of course, our UCONN Husky Women! Go Huskies, we're on to the Sweet Sixteen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're going for the first time around the holidays the week right after Thanksgiving - sometime between 11/27 and 12/4. Really looking forward to it!

Where is everyone staying? We're thinking of going with POFQ (never stayed there), but hope to maybe upgrade to WL if AP rates were to come out (never stayed there, either!).

We are going to be there November 27th through December 1 and then we are going on our first cruise.

I have never been to WDW this time of year, I hope the weather is relatively warm.

Hi , we are on the same land/sea as you! :cool1: This is my b-day week and our second cruise onthe Wonder. I have never been this late in Nov so I'm hoping the weather is nice. We are AKL and cat 4.

We'll be there then! We actually arrive the day before but won't be going to the parks that day. The 27th is my dd's birthday, we'll be going to MGM that morning and celebrating at MVMCP that night.

 OMG YESSSSSSSSS! So many people responded! I think another poster is right and the dozen or so of us may be the only people there that time of year. LOL, if it's true, I am calling dibs on all the best seats for my favorite rides/shows! :rotfl: I was already planning for us to be in MK on Friday Dec. 2 so maybe we will do MVMCP that night. Anyone been there before and care to give advice? It will be me, dh (turns 27 during our trip, woohoo!), and ds who will be 12 mos. old. If we are staying for the party, any suggestions on how we should time our entrances/exits from the park? I seriously doubt we would have the stamina to stay there from 8 or 9 am to midnight! :rotfl2:

Yes Tink, I'm hoping we WILL be the only people there. I was a little nervous when booking because of the proximity to Thanksgiving. We will arrive on Sat and stay at ASMo for one night but will probably just resort hop and visit downtown disney to see the decorations - I think Sat the parks will still be quite crowded.

We will do MVMCP on 11/29 I think. We won't be able to stay until Midnight so I'm hoping to get some info on what goes on before then. I doubt we will make it past 10pm.

Thanks in advance to anyone who has the info!!! :love2:

We've never been down at this time either and it will be fun to see the decorations. I'm hoping you guys are right about crowds being low! We have some friends who went last year during the week of Veteran's Day and they said it was more crowded than they thought it would be--however, from some of the threads I've read, that could be because there are other events going on that week (Jersey Week, I think, and some events at Epcot). We haven't decided where to stay yet--maybe a split stay between MK and Epcot resorts, we did that one year with GF and BWV and it worked out great. Does anyone know if there will be EMH evening hours at that time? With MVMCP going on I wasn't sure if they would have the evening hours.

I was told by my agent that EMH evening will still be going that time of year. Disney has instituted them as permanent year round. It's part of the planning video too as a perk for resort guests. I would imagine that aside from MVMCP the parks will still close fairly early so EMH evening should be in effect. No word yet on which days for which parks though.

HTH.

That is what I thought, too. Problem is, EMH don't come out for a while for November so my planning is in a holding pattern! LOL, I do know that Dec. 1st we will be in Epcot regardless due to dh's b'day wishes, and Dec. 2nd we will do MVMCP. The other 4 days in the parks are subject to some change depending on EMH. I *think we will do AK the first day (Sun. 27th) because it's doable in a short day and that is going to be the most crowded day of our whole trip, I suspect. For those on this thread who were wondering about crowds that week, everyone I know says it is the absolute SLOWEST time of year. Of course, you can get freak crowds at any time, but overall it seems to be very uncrowded compared to almost every other time of year according to the people I've polled.

We too are thinking of going this week but more then likely we will stick with Dec 2 thru 11. I was thinking that we would probably get a good idea of the possible EMH make up from the October schedule since they will be have MNSSHP that month. I am wondering if we will see more early EMH during December since 4 nights out of the week MK will be open late with parties. This planning stuff is not for slackers :)

DEFINITELY not for slackers! My husband used to think I was a vacation planning PSYCHO until he realized how much easier it is to have a plan. We do more in a shorter time spending less money. He loves to talk to other, "less organized" people who have been the same places we have and compare what they did with what we did. He doesn't say anything to them about it but will come home and say, "Can you believe they didn't know about XYZ restaurant and that cool museum of ABC? And they didn't even print out the internet coupon for admission or use any discount codes for their hotel. Guess some people don't do any planning!" :rotfl2:

I'm hoping to be there November 27-December 7. I've just got to keep my fingers crossed that my mother stays healthy until then. We haven't been to WDW since Thanksgiving of 2001, so I REALLY REALLY NEED to go.

Have a great trip everyone!!! :cool1:

Like a couple of you mentioned, we're coming in on the 26th but won't hit the parks until the 27th, back home on the 4th.

Only 247 more days!!!

Nov 27th - December 1st at ASMo

You are my twin! Same exact dates, same resort. Did you request a building on your res? We went with 101 Dalmatians because dh loves dogs and we figure ds (12 mos. in Nov.) will know what dogs are but maybe not understand the other characters too well yet (we don't allow TV for him yet, nope, not even Disney)!! I know they aren't guaranteed but I figure with it being so slow that time of year and the res being older and the request being on the res we have a decent shot. :earsboy:

I put in a request for Toy Story. I know they aren't guaranteed either but we will see.

This trip had to be fairly inexpensive and short since we will have just been there in October.

<wail> That sounds so far away! I've purposely not gotten a trip counter because it's just too depressing to see that high of a number. LOL
