Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

We're putting our house on the market this week. Fingers crossed for a quick sell. Our house will need to be sparkling when we leave. I need to talk to our realtor but not sure about doing a ton of Christmas decorations especially before we leave. Hopefully it will have a contract before then!! I need some major Disney magic!

Oh my I can't imagine this stress before the trip! Good luck for sure.

I have to have my house pretty clean for Thanksgiving, but it seems it's just going to be my parents here for Thanksgiving lunch. My sister is likely going to pick whichever guy is her currently bf at the time to hang out with instead and I just found out that the nieces are probably going to their father's for thanksgiving.

Then my mom (and dad for a few days) is staying at our house to dog and cat sit. At least she'll be here to clean up after Thanksgiving and hopefully keep it clean while we are gone. :flower1: But whatever we come back to can't be possibly as bad as it is right now! :rolleyes1

Good luck!! :tink:

I love the Magic Bands, @serenitynow :D

We'll have to have the house clean before we go, too. Luckily for me DH has a lower clutter threshold than I do, so while I'm panicking with last-minute packing he'll be cleaning the house.

Speaking of impossible to do lists...I have one! It's totally impossible, but I'm trying very hard. And now I need to find time to do this! DH picked this out for me at Kohls while I was trying on clothes and he insisted I buy it because I love puzzles.
I love puzzles! That's gorgeous. Can I come help?

Yes please! We'll put on the disney movies to watch as we are building the puzzles. Puzzle par-tay! party:

OK guys - I need all the happy Disney stuff I can get today. Anyone have a favorite Disney pic/memory/happy anything to share?

I'll start - 16 days :banana:party::santa:

15 days until we leave! 16 days until we enter Harry Potter world. 18 days until we arrive on WDW property.

I'm pretty low on the memories since my trips were mostly when I was young. But I remember running through the empty Space Mountain line over and over and over again and riding it repeatedly with no wait. I'm actually a little worried that Space Mountain won't live up to the hype of my memory this time!

I sang the Tiki Room song for months after our trip. I bought a Disney mix CD and that song was on it. Funny thing is I still don't know any words but the main chorus. "In the tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki room. In the tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki room." Oh man I must've drove my parents mad.

I also remember on my last trip in college that my luggage got lost on the trip to Florida. When we got back to the room that evening it was waiting for me in the room. Come to think of it...my luggage got lost on the journey home from Switzerland too. I think my luggage gets lost a lot, but so far it's always found its way (knock on wood).

Not long now! :goodvibes

I'm running on 2.5 hours of sleep as ds and I stayed up to watch the election results. :faint: I'm feeling pretty good right now, but that lack of sleep will hit me around lunch I bet.

I feel like I have a million things to do, but I just don't want to do any of it.:o

10 years ago, my wife and I Disneymooned after our October wedding. We stayed at our favorite resort, Port Orleans - Riverside.

During one magical evening, we decided to take the pontoon ride to Downtown Disney (as it was called at the time). We boarded on the boat and the captain whisked us out for our trip. The boat had the captain and four couples on board. As soon as we were away from the dock, the captain asked if anyone didn't like The Beatles. No one said yes, so he flipped off the Disney music and started playing from The Beatles "1" album. He took his sweet ol' time getting us to DD and no one on board was complaining. It was such a beautiful fall night with my new wife snuggled into me and my favorite Disney memory was born.

My 8-year-old had to write something about her favorite place -

It makes me smile :) Note the little Mickey heads she decorated the writing with, she was particularly proud of those, lol. It's been at school since the beginning of the year and she finally brought it home yesterday, of course I promptly put it up on the wall next to the countdown calendar!

DH scored the lightbulb necklaces at Home Depot today. $5. Someone over on the party board said they were hot sellers again at the party this year selling for 16.99. (He thought anyway, don't quote me on that!) Yikes!:scared1: Glad I could save the money on those! Also got ponchos at walmart. There's 2 different kinds and I'm not sure which I'm going to go with. One is 97 cents and thin like a garbage bag. The other is thicker, more substantial, but $4 each. Gotta think about that one. :santa:

I took both kinds of ponchos. I used the $1 ones for water rides and had the $4 ones in case of bad weather.
