Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

I'm not sure what is allowed and not. Since we are leaving a day early I need to change my FP plans around. I have MK FP for 7DMT @ 1125, PP @ 230p and Winnie the Pooh @ 1230 on 12/1. I heard that there is a trade/swap for FP. I just figured I would check before just cancelling them. Thanks!!

I really hope that 9-5:45 is enough time to get JTA and everything else done! Anyone know how long of a wait the line for JTA typically is?

We've usually waited about 20 minutes or so going right at RD.

Okay Disney, I managed to move around many of the details in our vacation plan and spend over an hour in total, on hold to make a reservation for your JBJB party on December 1st. At first I was feeling overwhelmed with another change to the Disney schedule, like a waitress with an overloaded tray that might dump at any moment. But now I feel a little fierce about the whole thing. Bring it Disney! I will take your insane last minute additions, ride closing rehabs and changing hours in stride. Everyone is going to have a great vacation in spite of ever changing ADRs, Fastpass+, holiday parties!

P.S. And I will try to stop saying "WTH Disney?" everyday.

Nope. I will not panic, just breathe in and out. Time to pull out my Rubik cube vacation plan and see if anything needs to be moved. Gotta just roll with it!

Well KTP is guessing the Christmas parade taping will be 11/10-11/12 this year...which would be great since they big tree should be up in MK and we won't have to stress about crowds at MK during the taping...

Oh, I hope this is true! I really don't want to deal with the taping on our MK day(s) in addition to having cheerleaders at our hotel for the second half of the trip. Still keeping my fingers crossed for pixie dust to get a no-cost room transfer over to AKL.

CBR is completely sold out for the second part of our trip. It would be great if they decide they need to make sure to have a couple rooms available for unexpected circumstances (like a major kid digestive-track accident in a room or something), so they just send us on over to AKL from the beginning. It probably won't happen, but I can still dream!

We did get bumped over to AKL savannah view one year when we had a long-standing reservation at CBR and they later decided to close part of it for renovations during our stay. I really want a pixie dust repeat!!

What are your dates again Tigger? I'm leaning towards not doing online check in for CBR in an effort to boost any slim pixie dust chances we may have for an upgrade!

Well, our trip is changing and evolving and this morning I was able to change our flight so we leave early in the morning on Saturday and arrive at Pop Century around 1:00 that afternoon. Here is the rest of the info as I typed it out on another thread:

We did it! We moved our flight! I also booked EMM right away for Sunday morning just to be safe. I'm hoping to get our Christmas party tickets moved to Thursday so I'll call about that this afternoon. Things are falling into place now. Hopefully smooth-sailing from here on out.

Holy moley that was long and convoluted but I got it done! I had to move our Christmas party to Thursday from Sunday but that wasn't much of a problem other than they couldn't refund my $6.xx because I had used my DVA to pay for it and they apparently can't refund to that. I said to the guy when he told me we WOULD get a refund (before he knew about the dva acct) that we could use it for a Dole Whip or something. Then, after he found out he couldn't get the money back to me we decided that was okay because we'd rather have the party on the night that works best than have the $6 so we made the change and left it at that. About 5 minutes after I got off the phone with him, he called me back and said he felt so bad about the $6 he was going to give me a # to take to guest services inside the park along with my ID and they would give me certificates for 6 Dole Whips! So that was a pretty good trade-off!

THEN I had to call and make reservations for the EMM to zero out the balance in my DVA. The first lady at Disney dining said EMM wasn't coming up in her system so she transferred me over to events. That lady was working on getting the tickets for me but as soon as I mentioned paying with my dva she right away transferred me to guest relations. Guest relations couldn't understand why I had been transferred at all because EMM should be booked as dining. So she transferred me BACK to dining again. This time, the dining lady (a different one) was able to get the EMM booked. Again though, when I mentioned paying with a dva she first told me she couldn't do that. I told her I was just sure others had done this so I thought there should be a way. She seemed open to trying something so I suggested trying to run it as a gift card (thought I had remembered others doing that) and it worked! So I was able to use the balance on my dva plus a few bucks from my rewards card to pay for the EMM. She was pleased that I taught her something new today.

EDIT: The whole time I was trying to get the EMM booked I was so scared it would sell out before I got it done. Then, when I first told the gal (the one that got it to work in the end) that I wanted to book it, I gave her 12/27 instead of 11/27, so when she said they weren't holding EMM that day I about passed out! Then I realized my error and we got it straight.

Phew, now I need a nap!

It hasn't happened in a while, but we have a frozen yogurt machine in our cafeteria at work - and they would have lots of flavor a of the Dole frozen fruit deliciousness. Lately just yogurt. But there are also Doke Whips at the MN State Fair - had one on my birthday!
